My "bedroom mods" are a Zmax & Vamo V5. If Me or the Dog happens to fall down on them it's no great loss. I always use quality batteries in anything I hold close to my Mug. I bought the most crappy cheap ass tube I could find, A crap fire battery, & a junk Atomizer. Took the spring out so it would fire when standing up & watched. No explosion just melted the Delrin in the Atty. People saying these explode are full of shit.
I just like box mods for the same reason I like cheap mods -- I'm clumsy! Tube mods can stand, with me in the vicinity, for no more than about 10 seconds, then they're gonna be falling over.
Box mods can be *knocked* over, sure as shit, but it's not as easy as with tubes, and the driptip doesn't have as far to fall, so less likely to break. It's not as big an issue now that I use Achilles; they never leak, so I can lay 'em down on their sides, but I usually don't, except on my wicker nightstand; one of those giant 3 battery or dual 26650 mods might be able to stand up on the wicker, but no others can.

You and me have a lot in common, I ran a 67 Goat Ram Air 1, C Stock NHRA, F/2 IHRA, ran 12.20's. Then in 69 got another Goat, a Ram Air 4, it ran 11.10 at 134, B Stock Auto NHRA, F/1 IHRA.
