Now the morning is started correctly. :D My husband is trying to drag his carcass out of bed to continue cutting down the magnolia tree in our front yard. This year, my roses WILL get sun!

GM Andria.

Mornin Pete!

This may be one of those "things that make you go hmmm" but why in the HELL would someone plant a magnolia tree in the front yard of a .27 acre lot? If we let it stay there, eventually that tree would completely TAKE OVER the front yard. Idiots.

I will put it this way I wouldn't plant a tree that was going to take up the whole yard.

EXACTLY! Maybe the builders were from up north, where magnolias aren't evergreen and don't turn into 100ft monsters. Ours was only about 30ft, but I told my husband if he didn't get it down, eventually it was going to require a professional. So he's cutting it down; later we'll need some pros for some giant pines, but they can wait.

And a dilemma it is! I spoke with the lab director and lab manager on Thursday, filled out the on-line app Friday. I have a friend that works there and she's been texting me all weekend.... They're VERY excited about me. My current boss also texted me Friday... He "heard" I had an interview and what did they offer me. Well nothing yet, I haven't gotten that far. I really hate the thought of leaving where I am,,, it's so convenient being 3 seconds from my work and I don't work weekends right now (I'm the only one) and the new job is 40 minutes away. But the money,,, every facility around us is paying $10-15/hr more than what we make and administration says we aren't worth it. We've had one persons retire, one has resigned, two more are retiring this summer and three of us are looking elsewhere. That's going to leave about 4 people to staff a 24/7 hospital lab.... Good luck with that. We're all a little bitter. Shit, we're all a LOT bitter. I'm definitely going to peruse it. I have to take care of me, and since admin here says I'm not worth anything I guess they'll be better off without me. Time will tell!!

Fuck me that is a no brainer just do not burn the bridges at the old place, and outty that hellhole.

Morning critters!
I fell out fairly early when I could not get comfy and and did some later evening Tollhouse type stuff.... That finally got the pain some what to the point of being able to lay down and get some sort of sleep, with some short burst heating pad action... it is just a couple spots when one gets going they all decide to jump on board and play fuck with Nasty.

Just got back from grocery trip (hate that friggin job). Hubs is making chili for dinner,,, his is way better than mine! My favorite part about Sunday's... He does dinner and I get to do whatever I want! Today whatever I want is trying to get a decent build in that Griffin. I'm prepared for frustration. Wish me luck!

Lol
It's not that hard to build the Griffin.. Northern Fog has a simple build on YouTube, and a few others in here that have the Griff, can maybe help with tips too..good luck, but it is very easy!!

Lol,
About 20 yrs ago we planted this pepper tree but now the roots have grown so big they're around the PVC water faucet seen leaning on the right..this line also supplies water to the guest trailer seen in the pic..brown tool shed was built about the same time we planted the tree, and also has a sink with water supplied by this same line coming across the property... Might have to re route that PVC line around the tree before long, :(

The root problem is why we didn't even consider maybe selling/moving the magnolia; sure they're valuable, but the roots would have taken most of our front yard, and we can't afford to replace that much dirt! It might also have caused problems with our water line from the street. So the best thing is just to cut it down. At least my roses will get sun this summer, and we may be able to get some grass started on that side of the yard, instead of being a muddy hill.

The building part is easy it's the wicking I had a hard time with. It's picky about how much you use
