Probably going to sell this Alleria off and pickup a Boreas... sucks because the flavor is insane on this tank! Just tired of having to constantly wipe this thing.

Not that I don't want you to get a Boreas, but if you're sure it's not your wicking, then an o ring or seal is bad or missing. I'm sure you can fix your Alleria :)

I isn't the wicking. This is just juice seeping past the oring. I have already used both extra orings that came with the kit and they all perform the same. I am guessing slight manufacturing defect. Something being slightly warped and just not getting the proper seal.

:( Who was the vendor? Did you tell them?

Is it just me or do a lot of defective products seem to trace back to Subtank Supply? The Boreas's with the bad o-rings, an incident I had where a TFV4 I ordered shipped with both the glass on the tank and the spare cracked, another incident way back with an entire bad batch of Atlantis V2's, my friend ordered a Subtank Mini from there that was basically cross threaded. Not trying to trash their name, but there seems to be a lot of sketchy quality stuff coming from that place.

See if they will exchange it. I hope they will.

I just emailed them. Waiting to hear back from them. This is the first time I ever worked with them. They have been the only place that I have been finding the Augvape gear in stock and in black. That and fast shipping because they are only 3 hours south of me.

I am gonna look around a bit to find some more vendors.

Not their fault. They are just a vendor who buys gear from manufacturers to sell to consumers. What they get in is what they get in.

I'm generally inclined to think that way as well, but it seems they get more shotty quality products than a lot of other vendors. I order most of my stuff from VapeNW, and I've heard a ton of horror stories about people buying from NW and I've had nothing but good experiences, so it could just be here-say.

I had a Tugboat V1 serial number like 0003 I think, I had no idea. I ended up selling it to a guy, because I was not a fan of it, and I had never used it. He sold it on Ebay for $250. Evidently an unused RDA that falls within the first 5-10 produced makes it valuable, I'm not sure. I feel like the person who paid $250 for it was pretty stupid.

I think it’s the other way around, Subtanksupply is one of the best places I’ve ordered from. They have another pre order up for 75 more black Boreas to be in Friday, there going fast now.

I just saw that :)

I remember the other night I was looking to order my Black Boreas on StS and it went from like 32 left in stock to zero in a matter of minutes. I think a B&M jumped on that shit, or someone faked out StS with a paypal invoice to make sure they didn't go out of stock while they were waiting for a paycheck.

One thing about the Alleria -- the outer cage has a distinct TOP and bottom. Every time I hear someone saying the threads crunch or it leaks like a sieve, I can't help but think either the cage is screwed on upside down or perhaps the rings are in backwards / upside down.

Here are some pictures that may help someone. Please don't flame me. :cuss2:

What resistance are those coils? 0.01? Those look like macro 3mm two wrap coils. Helpful post though.

Ok, well thatcould be it. My bottom o ring was upside down. So when I swap it out, I was putting it back in the same way... upside down...

Thanks for that info! I will flip that tonight and see what I get.

It happened early on with one of the testers. Sorry, I forgot that.

I'm awaiting delivery of my first Alleris, but after reading about the leaking I was having doubts about it, but I'm glad you posted some pictures of how the seals a supposed to sit alexm as this is one atty I am now looking forward to getting up and running. :)

Just hope I can get it running like the Boreas as that as so far been leak free :)

My Alleria doesn’t leak as long as it’s wicked properly. It does spit some condensation out of the airflow holes but not much.

That's good to know, I'll make sure I read up on all the advice on here before I get mine up and running, as with all atty's I suppose they is a leaning curve before you get them up and running correctly.
I have also got a second Boreas on the way to me now, I was thinking about having 3 of them because how easy it was to get up and running with no issues at all, but on hearing how much of a flavour atty the Alleria was I just couldn't resist trying one out, and it will interesting in trying them out side by side and seeing how they compare to each other :)

It’s easy to wick, I just tuck them under the ring and leave a little sticking out under the ring. I love the flavor from the Alleria but I find myself using the Boreas 90% of the time, I get great flavor with the Boreas also. If I want the concentrated flavor from the Boreas I just pop on a smaller drip tip.

.52 ohms for the pair. It's actually 9/8 wrap 28g stainless steel 3mm hiding inside a buttload of cotton.

I hope it resolves your issues. I've had tanks *cough Kayfun taifun*cough* that I jacked up the orings on and it took me forever to get em to run dry.

The thing that got me initially was losing the bottom ring on the alleria. That thing would dive for any sink drain within 100 yards. So I got in the habit of making sure I place it on the base when I clean before I rinse the tank.

Was never able to screw the cage on upside down though. But I imagine I could if I forced it a little. Not willing to wreck the threads to find out.

I contacted Subtank Supply. They are going to work with me on a replacement if I could not get the leak to stop. I pulled the tank apart today, stripped it down like prom night and gave it a good tops and tails. I put it all back together, this time knowing the o-ring needed to be flipped, I did that and put it all back together. I loaded it up with juice and have been using it for the last 5 hours. A couple tank refills and still not seeping or leaking! YAY!

Thanks for the help everyone!

Woop woop! Like my grandfather used to say: "a working tank on the mod is worth two in the mail truck. "

Or something like that. Glad you got it going. ☺

Well with my second Boreas arriving, at the same time came my first Alleria tank. :)
And this is now my second designed tank from Roxy & Augvape that I have managed to get up and running without the tanks giving me a single leak.
And you lot have been correct, this little Rta is a flavour monster :)

I love the idea of being able to see your coil and wicks, and the juice control is a great idea. :)
My only negative thing with this tank, and sorry Roxy, but it's not being able to use your own style of drip tip with it, I normally like using longer drip tips, I wish it came with an adapter so you could do this, but on saying that I've had no issues with using the drip tip it came with.

So yet again it's a winner for me, thanks Roxy & Augvape :)

I don’t think the Alleria was designed by Roxy, she tested it and gave feedback on it. She has another one in the works called the Merlin.

What is this Merlin you speak of? I was going to pick up a Boreas, but if there is something else about to drop, I might hold off. Any word released about the Merlin by chance?

What types of coils are everyone getting onto this deck? I got hung up looking at the other RTA's that all have pre-orders right now and I have come back to wanting to order this guy.

I just didn't want to get stuck with only being able to build tiny coils like I was with my Aromamizer. I notice this has a 14mm deck so wasn't sure what size coils are really fitting on the deck.

Also, those that already have the tank, what coils are everyone finding to work the best for flavor?
I put our SS vertebraid in here, and it's amazing. Just on flavor and performance, right now it's beating my griffin. and it's less finicky to wick. The coils do have to be smaller, but not aromamizer small. you can fit in 3. plus it's a glass chimney so no shorts, but right now i'm sticking with 2.5mm/7wrap on the vert and I love it.

Correct. My only suggestions after testing were to change the top fill to what you see on it now, and make the drip tip Delrin because the SS one got hot really fast.

Merlin is my next RTA with Augvape. We are behind though due to Boreas so I'm not sure when it will be released. I haven't even tested it yet.

Single coil, 22mm. We are considering a dual coil deck also, but not sure that will happen.
Hmmm... why the single coil? More for flavor builds? I almost picked up a moradin rta that is smaller like that for smaller coil flavor builds.

Because the market is slim pickings for people who prefer single coil attys. Not much new has come out for those vapers.

Single coil setups, especially higher performance ones, are really underappreciated I feel. There's some tanks and drippers that are just awesome with a single coil ss clapton or vertebraid. Dual coil is not necessarily better in those devices. I did a flat (ribbon) clapton 316L build on the tsunami last night, and the single coil version beats the heck out of the dual coil version of that build. But I think people see single coil and think kayfun style, mouth to lung, super restricted airflow..

Right. Merlin is a modern single coil RTA.
