The Cereal Mixing Megathread!

I've been thinking about this for a while now, but I haven't actually put any of my plans into motion yet. I know there is another flavor called 'Flaked' by Aisle 7 which is a Frosted Flakes type, so that's a pretty similar premise. It's definitely doable, I just haven't gotten around to tackling this.

I think the crucial flavor that would make this mix would be TFA Kettlecorn, perhaps in conjunction with the right other grain/cookie flavors. I think if you find the right combination of TFA Kettlecorn, FA Cookie, TFA Graham Cracker Clear, and TFA Acetyl Pyrazine (we all know that 'corn chip' flavor you get if you overshoot the mark with AP), you'll be able to evoke the sweet cornmeal flavor you're looking for. You can play with it from there by using TFA Rice Crunchies/FW Rice Treat, TFA Frosted Donut, INW Biscuit, CAP/TFA Waffle, and/or other grainy-bakery flavors in combination to zero in if the initial base is in the ballpark. Depending on how 'frosted' you want those flakes, you can crank up the FA Meringue, FA Marshmallow, TFA Lucky Leprechaun, & other sweet flavors. Same goes with the cream flavors depending on your preference for milkiness. Some flavors can affect 2 or 3 of these categories at once, like TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust or TFA Lucky Leprechaun, so keep that in mind too. Some 'Golden Grahams'-type recipes have been shared here in the past too, and I think those would probably be a good model to work off as well, and if this works, it's pretty likely you could get a Rice Krispies vape the same way. If this doesn't work at all, One-on-One, who makes some marginal-but-otherwise-unique cereal flavors, sells a Frosted Flakes/Corn Flakes type flavoring, so you can try that route if this approach fails.

Corn Flakes: TFA Kettlecorn, FA Cookie, TFA Acetyl Pyrazine, TFA Graham Cracker Clear/CAP Graham Cracker, CAP Sugar Cookie, TFA Rice Crunchies/FW Rice Treat, TFA Frosted Donut, TFA Captain Cereal/FLV Crunch Cereal.

Cream/Milk: TFA Bavarian Cream+TFA Vanilla Swirl, TFA Dairy Milk, FA Cream Fresh+FA Vienna Cream (diketone-free), TFA Dulce de Leche

Frosted Sugar: FA Meringue, TFA Lucky Leprechaun, FA/CAP/TFA Marshmallow, TFA Sweetener/Cotton Candy/EM

Here's a total shot in the dark, one possible way of approaching the recipe concept I outlined above -- keeping in mind I've never used TFA Kettlecorn before, just:

Sugar Shards:

TFA Kettle Corn - 4%
TFA Graham Cracker Clear - 4%
TFA Acetyl Pyrazine - 1%
TFA Bavarian Cream - 3%
TFA Vanilla Swirl - 1.5%
TFA Dulce de Leche - 0.5%
FA Cookie - 1%
FA Meringue - 1.5%
FA Marshmallow - 1%

This recipe could be a total trainwreck, so don't judge me if it is -- but I'd love it if someone started developing it & gave some feedback, because it'll be a while before I can order Kettle Corn and get a start on this, so if the approach is wrong, I'd like to help reformulate it in the meantime. Post back if you'd be willing to try and help.
Mixing this up right now. Will report back.

Dripped some into my tester coil. No corn chip (as if the AP were too high), but I do get the corn flake flavor. The Meringue/Marshmallow seem to be applying the correct amount of sugar taste you would expect in the frosted flakes. May be a little low, but we'll see how this looks in a few days after it's settled.

Not sure if which FP recipe you're working on but good luck. I haven't found a good one yet. It's been a long time since I tried it but FogBoss Nark is the commercial juice that nails it. FA Bergamot is the flavor you're looking for. That and maybe a little earl grey tea.

Any advice on how to perfect any recipe?
Add 1% FA Meringue, 1% FA Vienna Cream and 1.5% FA Fresh Cream. <- Any recipe, perfected.

Hey VU fam,

I've been combing through these cereal mixing subs, and I finally decided to try to make up a recipe (I was hesitant because I only have TFA flavors, and obviously that is going to be a limiting factor). Anyway, I made a V1 and V2, both are semi-accurate to my end goal flavor profile, but neither is quite what I had in mind. Here's the first attempt, my thoughts after vaping a 3 days steep, and then a revised recipe and thoughts on it. Any and all suggestions would be helpful...

Cereal V1

Berry Crunch 4.00%
Lucky Leprechaun 2.00%
Fruit Circles 1.00%
Fruit Circles w/ Milk 0.50%
Sweet Cream 0.50%
Orange Cream 0.50%
Strawberry (Ripe) 0.75%
Marshmallow 0.50%
Rice Crunchies 0.50%
French Vanilla Cream 0.25%

Overall Rating: 6.5/10

Initial thoughts were too much orange cream and rice crunchies. Also a tad heavy on the berry crunch and sweet cream. Although the creamy and fruity flavors seemed to be fairly well balanced, it wasn't quite right. I think I'm missing an accenting fruit note, but without knowing what it might be I decided to just lower the cream. So, with all this in mind, I drew up version two..

Cereal V2

Berry Crunch 3.00%
Lucky Leprechaun 1.50%
Fruit Circles 1.00%
Sweet Cream 0.25%
Orange Cream 0.50%
Strawberry (Ripe) 0.50%
Marshmallow 0.50%
Rice Crunchies 0.25%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 0.25%
French Vanilla Cream 0.25%
Silly Rabbit 0.25%

Overall Rating: 7.5/10

This seems to be a little closer to the Cereal Killa / Rainbow Nuggets like flavor I've been shooting for. Perhaps slightly too much cream with the Vanilla Bean and the French Vanilla cream, but other than that its the same missing fruit note issue. Can anybody help me out? I seem to be kinda stuck, nothing else I add to the V2 seems to do the trick. Ive tried raspberry, FCwM, lemonade lol, cherry, and a few others all in really small percentages (<0.25%) but if anything it throws it off more.

I realize I need to make another flavoring order, to get something other than just TFA lol, but is there anything I can do with the flavors I have? There's gotta be something I can drop in there to balance this out. Any direction the DIY fam can give me would be much appreciated!

THANKS VU!

Hey I just seen this. I haven't been on here in a while. I posted Louie's loops in this thread, I believe its on page two pretty close to the top of the page. I'm not where I can message it to you at the moment. Hope this helps!

I haven't tried Cereal Killa or Rainbow Nuggets but you look like you are on the right path to a cereal vape. I have seen Wayne use TFA Banana Cream @1% in this recipe and said it was an unexpected help.

Considerations for your next order (some universally agreed upon cereal ingredients and they are in A LOT of the recipes)
FA Meringue
FA Fresh Cream
FA Cookie or INW Biscuit (or both)
FW Hazelnut

New one for me and don't see it used a lot (yet) - Flavorah Milk and Honey

You know what, screw it. Here's the easiest cereal recipe I've found. It's so much better than any Cinnamon Toast Crunch style vape I've tried. Get your credit card out. FLV= Flavorah

(insert witty recipe name here)
5% FLV Cinnamon Crunch
1-2% FLV Milk and Honey (1% lets the Cinnamon Crunch be out front, 2% is a little more "bottom of the bowl")
0.6% TFA Brown Sugar

You can cut the percentages back if you don't like strong flavors. If you want it to be really milky you'll want to add your preferred Milkstone base but this is way vapeable as is. I'm going to try adding 1% FA Fresh Cream in the next batch as I don't have FLV Cream yet.

Happy to help. Look into those flavors but they are pretty common. Disclaimer - FW has lied about diketones in the past. Proceed at your own risk.

I'll have to check my notes but I think I made that one and didn't like it.

Fruity pebbles doesn't taste like 6 or 8 fruits to me. It's tastes like Bergamot and Earl Grey w some sugar. If his had FA Lime in it then that could have been why I didn't like it. Not sure if I got bad ones or if they just aren't agreeable to me but I've never made anything w them that I like.

@KeyserSoze That looks good thanks for the share and info...Have you tried FLV Cream? If so what's your take on that flavor? I like the cinnamon crunch cereal better then fruity ones so going to give that a mix when my wallet says its ok to order some flavors. I will give feedback to this thread. Oh what is your recommended steep time the usual 7 to 10 days?

You're quite welcome. Happy to share when I feel it's worthy (which is almost never).

I haven't tried FLV Cream yet. It's on the list. I haven't even tested all of the FLV that came on the last order and I'm preparing to order again.

I have yet to make more than 5ml of that mix so far so I haven't tasted it past a few days. Overnight makes a huge difference then it leveled out. Shake and vape wasn't great but the next day was a 180 from there.

I believe my Trix is very spot on. I plan to vendor this to my b&m wholesale clients so please do not use this for commercial purposes.

4% TFA Berry Crunch
3% CAP Sweet Strawberry
0.5% INW Raspberry concentrate or 3% TFA Raspberry Sweet (INW is better)
3% CAP Sweet Tangerine
1.5% FA Lime Tahiti cold press
0.75% FA Fresh Cream
2% FA Meringue
1% FW Yellowcake
1% TFA or FW Hazelnut
1 drop FA MST Vape Wizard per 15ml

It gets better with steeping, but is ok fresh.
Enjoy

Been watching this whole thread for a few months now. Loving it so far. Finally decided to get on here and post. Ive tried several recipes on here and all seem good so far. This one has caught my eye so im gonna give it a shot. Cant wait to try it out!! Has anyone else done this one yet?

I don't think I tried that one but I have the ingredients. I'll try to mix it up tonight and let you know. Maybe it'll be my first mix w a FA lime that works!

Here's the one I mentioned before that I had to go look up. The other mostly FA one, Louie's Loops, is already posted in this thread. I'd love to hear @HeadInClouds' take on this recipe -- I was hoping he'd chime in at some point, but this recipe should be right in his wheelhouse so hopefully he'll notice this tag and share some FA wisdom, or even mix this up himself and comment!

@Botboy141's Fruity Pebbles

2% Lemon Sicily (FA)
1% Mandarin (FA)
1% Lime Cold Press (FA)
1.5% Black Cherry (FA)
1% Strawberry (FA)
0.5% Bilberry (FA)
0.5% Raspberry (FA)
1.5% Meringue (FA)
1% Vienna Cream (FA)
0.5% Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA)
2d per 10ml Sweetener (TFA)
1d per 10ml Tart and Sour (TFA)

Also getting flavors for this one. Can't find TFA tart and sour? I think I've got super sour, will that work fine?

I don't think there is a TFA Tart & Sour. There is a LorAnn Tart & Sour and a TFA Sweet & Tart. Maybe the reference was to the LorAnn version. I mixed it up with that, and it was very very good.
Ok, I've got super sour from wizard labs, wonder if that would work?

Ok, I think I have everything coming to do Trix, Fruity Pebbles, and Fruit Loops from here. Also gonna try an Apple Jacks. (Non cereal related, also getting flavors to do a Boosted and Wastegate clone.) I think my weekend is gonna be a busy one. Thanks to everyone on here for all the great recipes!! I'll report back when I'm done.

I gave it a whirl twice now, the second time as recently as 2 weeks ago. Liked what it had going for it on the exhale, i got the fruity Trix in that respect, but it's definitely missing something in terms of being a full bodied vape.

Overall it just struck me as ....too bland i guess, and lacking the cereal umph i got out of the Cereal Killa clone listed (which is basically a great fruit loops). I tend to like stronger flavor juices though.

I appreciate the input. I've got all flavors on the way, so gonna give several of these a shot. Maybe I can tweak em to my liking. I've done both CK clones, Looper, and TF. All are good, but none have completely satisfied me just yet. I think with all the flavors I have on the way, I'll surely find something I love!

Yeah, to be honest i'm basically in the same boat. My friends love that CK clone though.

I randomly keep going back every few weeks and make an attempt to hit that sweet spot. Usually trying to mix and match what i like about each one. They all come out fairly vapable, but haven't really nailed anything yet.

Exactly the same here. I like them all, and I switch between them all daily. I like the CK v2 the best, but I need to lessen the bergamot I think. It just still seems over powering to me, even after it steeping for a couple weeks. It definitely mellowed out from day one, but still a tad much for my taste.

If I were going to try it I would start with something like

3 or 4% TFA Cheesecake Graham Cracker (the right crunch for capt crunch IMO)
Milkstone of your choice (The Milk - some combo of Fresh Cream, Tres Leches, FLV M&H, Yellow Cake, FW Hazelnut etc)
1 or 2% FA Meringue
1% FA Vienna Cream
1% FLV Peanut Butter

The Meringue and Vienna Cream smooth out the nuttyness of the FLV PB but will also add to the milk aspect. Maybe just adding 1% of Fresh Cream instead of a Milkstone would get you there.

I know Apple Jacks (FW) was mentioned way back on page 1 I think? Has anyone got a good apple jacks going? My wife is in love with Jack the Ripper by Absolute, and I'm trying to come up with something similar. It's an apple and cinnamon, and really tastes like Apple jacks to me. It is currently the only store bought liquid we purchase, everything else we vape is our own. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I haven't had Jack the Ripper but I was probably the one talking about FW Apple Jacks back then. It's OK. I'm not mad that I bought it.

These days I would use FLV Cinnamon Crunch and FA Apple as a (better) replacement. The last AJ mix I did with the FW AJ wasn't bad but it wasn't stellar either. It's posted somewhere but I'll try to post or PM the recipe tomorrow. Have to dig back through a lot of notes to find that one.

TBPFH... I would get FLV Cinnamon Crunch and FA Apple. Start with that and add milky creams from there. FW Apple Jacks has a soggy cardboard thing that you have to work hard to get around.

Thanks for the feedback! If you find it great, but no rush on finding your recipe. I found one that had AJ, meringue, and cream fresh. I'll look up the 2 flavors you mentioned above and see what I can do about getting those. (Just recently dropped about 100.00 on a variety of new flavors. Two more can't hurt, lol, especially if it saves me money in the long run)

Haha I wish I didn't understand. I've dropped a bill on one order more times than I would like to admit.

Look up Morning Wood here. Thats probably the one you saw (scroll to the end for an updated version or its possibly early in this thread). I threw all kinds of stuff in there including meringue and probably fresh cream. Tomorrow I'll look for you and see which version I marked as the best.

If you do order FLV, do some searching first. Lots of good flavors. I'm not an expert yet (even though I ordered 16 flavors for starters) but I vote to get cinnamon crunch, rich cinnamon (just by smell, came in yesterday), milk & honey, boysenberry, blueberry, and possibly creme de menthe. All of those can't be duplicated with another brand IMO. To be fair I haven't vaped rich cinnamon or creme de menthe yet, just smelled them. Then I thought about drinking them. Then I stopped myself.

Anyways, back to cereals. :) Anyone seen botboy's ultimate berry crunch recipe? I mixed it up last night. Not my favorite as a shake and vape but it's much better today. I may cut back on the AP and have something really nice on my hands, pants and keyboard.

FYI, FLV is FVH on the DIY Flavor Supplier Abbreviations list. I had to search this thread to crack the code myself. All your contributions are appreciated, KeyserSoze (but we all know that limp isn't real and that you're a mastermind). :D

I made a chocolate milk 10 days ago,and I havn't touched it yet.Waiting a month,and it is smelling better,and better.If I don't think its right after a month,i'll play around with it a little more.

Cool..I made a Chocolate Milk a couple weeks ago...and I love it..
what ingredients?I used capellas double chocolate, tfa dairy/milk,ny cheesecake.
I am going to make another chocolate milk with, capellas double chocolate, milk by fw,and maybe a cheesecake,or a custard, but,i want it to taste like real chocolate milk, and not a custard,cheesecake,etc...
