I really thought I had avoided the hole. I had ordered a Supbox and an Ambition Mods Molen bridge, and didn't like either one of them at all. Then I bought a DotAIO from the Hardware thread. It came with a DotMission clone, and I didn't like it much (the DotMission), so I ordered a DotMobb clone and that was what tipped me over the edge. I put the DotMission in an OhmAIO that I'd had for a while, and it worked a treat in there, and the DotMobb was fantastic in the DotAIO. So then I started thinking, well, maybe the Molen bridge is just crappy.

Right after that I bought a Mission Orbit clone from the Hardware thread here, and ordered a 5AVape clone of a Hussar BXR boro mod, thinking I'd put those two pieces together. The Mission Orbit disappeared into the black hole of the postal service between here and 50 freakin miles away. It still hasn't shown up. So then I wasn't going to have a bridge for the Hussar. Well, it came (the Hussar) and I figured I might as well try the Molen bridge in it. It isn't fantastic, but it's definitely worlds better than it was in the Supbox.

Yesterday a Mobb V2 clone from AliExpress got here, and I wasn't going to build it yet, but couldn't stand it so I put it into the Hussar BXR. OMG! What a great vape!

I'd been looking for days and days because I had decided to order another boro mod, and couldn't make up my mind between an Aspire Boxx, a Sunbox, or an SXK BB. When I saw the SXKs on sale yesterday, well shoot, that was like the Universe shoving my face right down into it. You know how it is. Some things are just meant to be. Had also begun to wonder if I was just stepping all around the BB thing, ordering nearly EVERYTHING BUT, and was gonna just keep on spending money until I finally broke down and bought a BB. So yeah, ok, I took the hint. :)
Those BXR clones are really nice.I bought one off a guy on FB,and ended buying another one from 3F.

Not for nothing but Ion clone like pretty great too! Been considering one myself! Only thing that stopping me is the BMM .38 Special coming in November/December!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That Ion looks kinda like the second version of the Hussar BXR, actually. I think Hussar did a redesign after they got a bunch of complaints about the OG BXR having a wiggly, noisy door panel. Here's a photo of the redesigned Hussar:

Lol I was wondering when you would break down & get a BB lol! Glad you took the plunge!

Hey all need advice on building the voltrove for flavour. Iv currently got a 3.5mm id ni80 26*3/38g coming in about .25 got it really low centred over the air intake. Can't get any decent flavour I have tried another couple builds to and it's just mute af. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong any help would be awsome.

I would definitely try a smaller ID coil. 2.5mm is the max I’d use on any boro RBA due to the tiny chambers most have. I don’t have the Voltrove specifically but maybe you can get away with a 3mm. I suspect your airflow is getting choked off. Hence the muted flavor

Hey bro cheers for the reply. I would have a 2.5 if I could but voltrove has such monstrous wicking ports that any less than 3 and I get leaking like crazy. The 3.5 was just an experiment it does fit but yeah flavour is still shit I was thinking of offsetting the coil so the airflow port is more exposed mitigating the choking effect? Do you think this would assist the choke issue?

Perhaps @b.m. could assist? He really enjoys the Voltrove from what I remember.

Ah I could see that as a problem. Offsetting it from the airflow definitely could help. I do that with my Kerch+ and it helped with both smoothing out the airflow and flavor

Just sent ya a pm,but yeah 3mm is perfect in the Voltrove, that's what I run in all of mine.

I have a love/hate relationship with them haha. When I get my wick tails cut right, they are fantastic, but if they aren't perfect it leaks and I have to stop myself from slamming it against the wall haha, especially after I had one dump juice all over and screw up the button on my Borat.Luckily I was able to send the Borat in and get the button replaced, but the voltrove will never go back into any of my regulated mods again, they are strictly mech mods now.
Sent him a pm,so hopefully he get it straightened out.

@Evello mortem tyrannis That's a mighty neat and tidy coil. I hope you never see one of mine! 🤣 I am the antithesis of neat and tidy.
Haha yeah I have had a go at building once before but I gave up within a few seconds, I have had alot of practice wrapping as I like my pre made spools however I had nothing that would suit in this case and didn't want to wait. I guess its true what they say about necessity being the mother of innovation haha I will be doing alot more from now on though just need a better swivel I used a fishing rod swivel so the damn thing got pretty twisted. I had to stick it in a vice and unwind with pliers I ended up with enough for a couple more so all in all I'm happy with the yield/effort ratio lol 🙃 I will post a pic of the other section I got in the morning as iv yet to untwist it.

Dudes! Had to share… closest I’ve ever come to making anything remotely looking like an alien coil. Just don’t look at the top of it haha

That's awsome bro I will do exactly that haha it's a super painful experience untwisting the lengths before wrapping . Do you guys just use fishing swivels or is there a better option in that department? I understand it was pressure on the cores via the outer wrap spool that caised my issue i deffinately had to much pressure on it now that youv brought that to my attention. just wondering if there any thing smoother with regards to the swivel.

Swivels for me, but, if you do get twisting lay it on something hard and roll the twists out, way easier then trying to turn them out with a pliers. Not your kitchen table though, you will roll that bad boy right into the wood, lol

Has anyone sandblasted and polished their bull it box? I'm having a hankering to do a carbon paneled polished 4.B ... any challenges?

Like this? This poor thing was beat to hell. Most of the black was wore off and then used in a couple of hockey games. I sanded it as smooth as possible and then a quick polish job.

It has personality, for sure! When there's so
much denying and pitting, it might be cool to go all the way and get a chonky bead blasted look!

Thanks for sharing, great pic.

In case anybody's looking to spend some money, Billi Billi has three BBs for sale on their site today, a Unicorn Poo 2019 and two "Nine 5 Customs" custom-coated 2018s. Descriptions say they were used by the Billi Billi Store to display accessories.

Was yours a tight fit in the boro?Mine was a tight squeeze when sliding the glass up,if I don't have the flat edge facing the glass the 3dge catches and won't let the glass slide up.Great vape off it though.
I had no trouble with it bro not sure if that was luck though here's a pic of the positioning. It is a fantastic vape flavour from the get go.20221017_234243.jpg
