Did you get your Atlantis Nickel Coils From Vapor Shark? I was going to order some ,but decided to wait as I was unsure if they have the bigger wicking holes like the new coils or the smaller original ones.
Hi @Maverik_X. Yes I did get my nickel coils from vaporshark. These out perform the originals by a long shot

I live in New Orleans Louisiana and it takes 6 days for something coming from Miami but 3-4 for something from California. Everything leaving Miami gets hung up in Oompa Loompa Florida for 3 or 4 days...haye that city.
Small world... I use to live in Lafayette, but vaping wasn't even invented back then..
I do miss being back there. Just sayin

What would you suggest as the best battery to use with the ipv4?

Samsung 25Rs are an easy choice - 2500mah, 20A max current. That's what I'm using. The 3100mah EFests might also be good, but I have no personal experience.

Great high drain batteries. You can pump them out till they go down to 3.5 v. Good all day batteries.

A funny thing happened at my local shop this morning...the owner happened to see me looking at the IPV4 and commented what an awesome mod that is.. Told him I had one on pre order for $79.99 but probly won't get it anytime soon..
He said wait here a minute...he came back with the silver (pic)
IPV4 and sold it to me for $85 including CA tax... I cancelled my pre order and already liking this mod alot more than I would have thought... Ordered the Nickel coils for the Atlantis and they should be here Monday... Thanks to @Bloke for the help learning the menu for joules mode.. I am stoked!!

Congrats on finding one near you.
Btw Joules is the same as watts I can't see any real difference between them besides YiHi's Definition of them.

I'm not totally sure without measuring but they appear to be identical to the stock housing
the pics on Vapor shark show the the wicking holes as the size of the atlantis coils when they were first released. ( v1 )
Aspire has enlarged their wicking hole sizes since the atlantis v2 dropped and they are 100% cotton now.
Just want to know the VS nickel coils wick hole size in relation to Aspire Atlantis v1 coils or the v2 coils. you can see the difference on aspire's website.
I would prefer the larger v2 wicking holes and 100% cotton.

Here is a pic of the vaporshark Atlantis coil housing. This is from my first nickel coil. It lasted a,solid 6 days, and over 100ml of high vg juice

Those are v1 wicking holes the smaller ones is it all cotton inside?. does it still wick well with high Vg juices, I usually use 80% or 90% Vg Juices
Sorry for asking so many questions just curious thanks m8

No problems at all. Yes the inside is all cotton. I use anywhere from 85 to 95 vg and had no problems with wicking or dry hits. I chain vape this sucker and it never disappoints at 32 joules and 480 degrees

Sweet thanks for the info I'm going to order a set and try them out. Wasn't overly impressed with the Kanger Nickel OCC coils. Prefer the rba with nickel for the subtanks.
Twisted420 said in his first look video of the iPV4 that the atlantis nickel coils can be used in the Freemax Starre or Vapeston Maganus tank if so that would be great.

don't get me wrong they will work fine they are just more expensive rewraps of Samsung 25r's still a great battery, Efest does the same thing their new 2100mAh 38 amp battery is just a repatched Sony Vtc4. and a great alternative to the Vtc5's with less capacity
Real Sony Vtc5's are near impossible to find most out there are cheap chinese clones that don't work as advertised

I was going to say the same thing. Honestly there is no ill will or offense stated. We are all here to help each other out. Even some b&m's are unaware of those facts. So all in all at least underneath the coat you still have high drain batteries....just aren't the specs that are listed

Well, seeing that alot of people who ordered from GearBest have received emails stating their order will ship next week I decided to email them for an update. They just replied to me telling me that their system shows it will be 8 more days until they have any in stock. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

Sooo, checking the ebay link that Maverik posted, I noticed the seller was in the same city as I. Emailed him about local pick up, he agreed and 30 minutes later I got an IPV4. Crazy simple.

Thanks Mav!!!
Your very welcome he's a good guy he's always taken care of me.

I agree for a temp control mod priced under $100 with 100 watts and soon to be 120 watts it's well worth it.

What you think of the mirror finish of the screen Smacksy?

I still have mine on to afraid of scratching the screen, I may order a universal zagg screen protector and cut it to size then take off the factory one.
I'm hoping Jwraps will have a wrap for it soon, been using it in my sig clear protective sleeve, it's a loose fit but ok for now.

Have you tried the temp control out yet?

right on start low on about 15 joules and low on the temp and work your way up in temp till you find where you like it then adjust the joules to your liking. joules are essentaily just watts.
