Hey everyone just signed up today and have been discovering how to use the site. Was wondering what the difference between "recent posts" and "new posts" is. Seems like they should be the same thing but when you click on "recent" a lot more stuff comes up than when you click on just the "new posts" link.

Yeah if you click on New Posts, then there a little red link to the right, right above the list of threads that says "recent posts" and if you click on that like twice as much stuff comes up.

i always use the "recent activity" link. it gives an up to the minute log of everything that is happening on the site. if you run your cursor over the "members" thing at the top, it's the bottom link in the menu that comes up. hope that helps.

if i had to guess, recent is recent?, but new means since your last post/visit.

but that's just a guess.
