It was already seen several days ago and brought to light here. We made a joke about him not even being smart enough to use a different name. Lucy and a few others here confirmed he wont ever make it into the classifieds to sell anything due to their "application" process.

I forgot that you need to pay and apply for that. I know it was brought to light here, but I was under the impression that they were hip to him there.
I decided to check my profile there and I noticed him on a thread. I wasn’t looking for him, I was reading a stocking up thread. They had some good ideas actually.

It was a different dude and I am not much for POD systems so if you do receive something from this dude, 1. Sanitize it, 2. Be thankful you received it.

There is no reason you couldn't send an admin a quick PM as a heads up without linking a VU thread. If they take the warning you did a good thing. If they don't you at least warned them.
No sense in feeling 'torn' bout it.

We do not normally get involved in trading post issues. The only reason we did this time was from his history here. This was a RARE occasion.
We do not judge a member on their activity at other forums. If we did most of us wouldn't be here.

and we use are feedback section for a reason enough bad points and their actions would prevent further loss yes it might take a while but it would happen.

I know the ones who are not banned are whiny tits and/or robots with marching orders. I signed up for a vendor account and it led to immediate isolation and shitty attitudes from a bunch of self-righteous douche bags. I gave Misty an earful more than a couple times but surprising enough, she did not ban me, yet.

That would only tell you the location of the server where the image was hosted though. That could be done from anywhere. In other words, someone in Shanghai could post an image to a site that was hosted in Portland and all it would tell is that the image is in Portland.

I was thinking he was possibly dumb enough to repost his social media pics here. Wasn't one of the pics supposedly mugshot? It's possible (if not likely) the arresting agency has an online database, who knows what info is included there.

That's a similar image search where it scans the pixels and tries to find similar ones across the internet, probably using Google's algorithm. You can drag an image into Google's search dialog and it will do the same thing. A couple people were asking about where he lives, which is what I thought you were addressing

They used to charge $1.00 to be verified and have access to the classifieds. Now they stopped verifying and it's a free for all. Seller beware. I definitely wouldn't trade with a newbie.

Yeah and if I remember correctly there was always someone complaining they took the money but have not been verified and no one responds. Was always the same excuse that the person who did was not a very active Admin. Is it just me or is that just messed up?

Its definitely messed up. The person in charge of verification went mia in may of last year so no new verifications. That's why they finally just opened it up but with no talk about feedback. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a clusterfuck. I think I'll just stick with the classifieds here! Unless I see a fantastic deal

Now that ecf has opened up the trade forum to all I've been torn as well. Decided if I see him post there to trade or sell I'll just ask him if he's the same guy on vu under a different name.
