Interesting convo yall had last night. IMHO prostitution should be legal but wives will never allow that to happen. It has nothin to do with moral objections and everything to do with competition. Just look at it, if honey is mad what is the first thing she shuts off until the guy suffers enough and she can bend him to her will? If he was able to go down the road and easily get it, she would no longer have that power over him. Same thing, if honey wants something expensive what it the first things she does. She puts on something sexy to greet her man with when he gets home. Every guy knows that means it is gonna cost him. Think I was at or less than $10/hr then but I tried to make it a point to always have $100 pocket money for her when I was gone to work for a week. I am 100% in favor of legalized prostitution - there would be no market if there were no eager buyers.
Legalize it, regulate it, and tax it.
In reality, women who find themselves pimped and immigrants who find themselves trafficked would find themselves in yet another type of slavery if not prostitution - I really believe this. A battered prostitute is no different than other types of battered woman.
The trafficked prostitute is basically a battered woman who finds herself hooked up with a pimp rather than a husband who locks her in the house and knocks the shit out of her for burning the toast.
There also exists large numbers of independents who are very well paid and in business for themselves.
If the powers that be stopped wasting time and resources (money) trying to stamp out vice such as a business transaction agains two consenting adults, they could aim those said resources at the truly vile and evil traffickers of children and producers/consumers of child pornography. Those are some despicable human beings.

I agree. Legalize prostitution. The opposite is legal, you can be a soldier, a professional killer. Why not increase the chance of creating life to balance the creation of death by a profession as old as soldiering.
That and the fact that if it's legal prostitutes can legally get medical care, insurance, costs of their services would stabilize. The costs stabilizing aside they would be treated respectfully, with dignity as human beings and not merely flesh puppets. And yes, I'm being inclusive of male prostitutes. It would serve all of them, prostitutes better to have it legalized, legitimized.

That reminded me of something. One time the gf was in a car accident and she was a passenger that got rear ended by a car doing 25mph. The car the gf was in was stopped. This accident broke the little bone at the base of the neck for her collar bone. We didn't think much about it at first, she didn't even know it was broke but the damage it ended up doing was wicked. One shoulder wing doesn't stick out now, one shoulder is a 1/2 inch higher than the other one and the curve of her neck pretty much reversed. Needless to say I went a very long time with out.
We was at her moms one day and I said something which she replied "better watch it mister or I will cut you off". That was just too good to pass up so I came back with "Cut me off, I dare you. Its been so damn long since your wreck that you would have to take me home and give me some so I know what I was being cut off of. " I could see the red of embarrassment creeping up her neck into her face and her mom and sister was laughing their ass off at us. It worked, the long dry spell ended that night

I just never got the idea of doing without, for ANY reason. When I was pregnant, we had sex because my hormones were going crazy, and sex was a good way to forget about being nauseous. 3 wks after my c-sec, we had sex because we hadn't been able to, for well over a month -- when the baby "drops", it becomes very painful for a woman to WALK, nevermind anything else. When I was depressed, we had sex just so there'd be SOME pleasure in my life. That's why this post-menopausal pain pisses me off so much -- really it's the first time in my life that sex has been so unpleasant, I didn't wanna (other than those few weeks in late pregnancy), and my husband is a gem; he doesn't wanna do anything that hurts me, he says it makes it not fun for him at all, knowing I'm in pain. But he supports my decision not to take hormones, because of the astronomical cancer risk -- I finally gave up cigarettes, so I really don't want to add some whole new cancer risk!
