But it sure is wonderful being able to concentrate and finally understand how normal people think without their thoughts constantly racing here and there and everywhere. I no longer notice people whistling or popping gum way across the room. It's just crazy.

I spent my entire youth not being able to concentrate.
School was hell.
School was hell for me until I got older and learned how to force myself to concentrate. The psychiatrist said that I was able to get through just fine since I have a high IQ. I think the lowest grade I got in 12th grade was a 96. And that was civics class. I hated that class.

yeah a high IQ was all that saved me.
But then a high IQ may have contributed to my problems?
bored with the stuff they taught and could not focus either....

My report cards from elementary school are absolutely horrible. I almost flunked third grade and I never learned my multiplication tables.

You're exactly correct. The psychiatrist told me that I failed the easy questions on the IQ test but the harder the questions got the better I did. It's really bizarre.

It's really awesome to be able to talk to someone like me Cromwell. Thanks for being my friend. I do have another mental illness though and it's depression. So I have to take Citalopram and Adderall. If I skip the Citalopram I become a depressed total bitch. LOL

There's no way I would have been able to skip it. I spent too many times in the corner for being too fidgety.
I would never have skipped it but was in a 1 room school so I learned everything that was going on. Well some of everything.
then went to a room per grade school and things went downhill.

I did some weird stuff when I was in elementary school. My sister was always calling me a retard. But later on I was the one helping her through high school when I was two years younger than her.

The really bizarre part of all of this is that when I take my medication it makes me really tired and sleepy instead of hyped up. It has the opposite effect on me than it would a normal person.

It's called a paradoxical effect, because it coordinates and organizes the neurotransmitters, resulting in relaxation. All kinds of speed always had that effect on me. Course it also aged me about 10 yrs. :giggle:

My biggest problem with public school was that.. it.. just..... draaaaaaaged. It needed to be at the same pace as summer school, 3 wk terms instead of 3 months. In summer school I made all A's... barely passed enough to graduate, in "regular" (slow-ass dummy) school.

That makes a lot of sense. Many people with a higher IQ have difficulty in regular classes. And just from knowing you for a few years I can tell you're really intelligent.

I'm tired. I burned some brush and Amazon boxes. Now I'm cooking spaghetti. Made a salad. Made ranch dressing. Went to the store. My neck hates me now.:xD: and I got news for it. I hate it too!
On another note I got some vape mail today! Yippee!

The Explaining Computers guy on You tube seemed to like Mint.
I dunno not messed with Linux in 15 years.
he also seemed to like Ubuntu.

Ubuntu over Mint, I say. Both are Debian based distributions. It's in how the updating and upgrading software, core libraries, compilers, graphics functions are all handled or not handled as the case presents. Think I finally got to where I need to be as I like to stretch in some coding t times, not into high-level graphics for gaming or videos, SOIP. If that's what's wanted I'd use Ubuntu, they seem more abreast of that sort of stuff.

Saw the same thing when I attended a technical school; short terms, fast classes, 4.0 GPA across the board. My son is just starting on his first 2 yrs of an electrical engineering degree, and seeing the exact same thing -- both of us just do LOADS better with short terms and fast classes. He's actually tutoring math, which counts as "community service" so he can keep receiving food stamps, to help us out. :D (we can support him while he's in school, but good god he eats like a fucking elephant!)

The male species does eat a ton of food. I'm glad he's able to help you guys out with the grocery bill. I will invite my nephew and brother-in-law over to eat and I have a huge roast and I get like one bite out of it. And all of a sudden the whole thing is gone. Forget about leftovers. There are none.:blah:

Oh and Kudos to the 4.0!!!!!!:)

Yeah he's hoping in the spring to be nominated to The President's List -- which requires a solid 4.0 GPA -- Dean's List only requires a 3.55, he's had in the bag since mid-term. :D All of it will stand him in good stead when he applies to GA Tech in 2 yrs. :)

Watched a couple on Youtube and just thought how silly it was.
But I guess it is for ok for some.

Hell, everytime I walk into a vape shop I feel like I'm in a cloud competition. My own little wisps just kinda get lost in the fog -- remember how frustrating it was to smoke outdoors when it's really cold? You can't tell when to stop exhaling. :giggle:

And speaking of really cold... we got the cold rain on schedule today, so it's gonna be like 35 in the morning... brrrrrrrrrrrr.... and Monday morning, maybe even colder? Might get some frost. Not unseasonal; I think our traditional date of first frost is Oct 25 or something like that; March 25 for last frost. But all gardeners know those are only rough guidelines, and mother nature has a mind all her own. :D

It's been really cold the last couple of nights here. I guess it's finally making its way to you. That really cracked me up what you said about not knowing when to stop exhaling. I can so relate. LOL

Yeah the nights have ben real chilly all week here, but this was the first time it hit the 30s. Brrrrrrrrrrr. But I tell ya what, we're loving that new thermostat we got back in Sept -- you just set it and forget it unless you feel the need to change it; SOOOOOOOO much better than the old one that every so often would change it to the defaults -- fucking 85 in the summer and 60 in the winter! Fucking horrible! Our AC default was 75, and now our furnace default is 69 -- so it doesn't get too hot at night when we're sleeping; just now boosted it to 70 degrees, because it's actually chilly in here. :)

The wind is going bananas outside.

Supposed to have hard freeze here tonight.
Well it's only 40 something here but it's still cold in my room. The thing I hate most about cold-weather is the static electricity that goes with it. It's bad enough when you brush your hair that it sticks out all over the place and then when you touch anything metal pop! Clothes stick to you the clothes stick to the jacket you're wearing. And when you take your jacket off it's an electric field!

It almost never gets that dry here.
