Just to add to Steve's post...May i also suggest you try your juice before adding the Nic. Only add the Nic when you know you like the recipe. Flavors & VG are cheap :)
While I agree with that in principle, depending on how clean your Nic is it can change the taste of your mix. It's probably really good advice but I never did it that way. NN it's the cleanest I've tried and I don't taste it. I however had some Nic in the past that was quite noticeable in taste (I also started at 15mg/ml but the equipment was a lot different back then). Heck I'm down to 3mg/ml now so I think my flavorings are the biggest expense lol.

Cheers,
Steve

Well looks like I'll have one to play with just got the green cover yesterday from grearbest.
I can tell you that anything that's been sprayed with Plasti Dip, you can fix blemishes by using paint thinner to rub the rubber and reseal the blemish. May or may not work in your case Just a thought. I'm not really even sure what the product is, used on these doors.

Ok any ideas on what happened to the paint on my Yellow one been using the VT75 all day and picked up the yellow one and saw the bubbles in the paint no juice was on it cant figure out what happeneView attachment 55195 d.
That's a bummer. Since no one seems to have the Yellow anymore, your only recourse is to contact Hcigar and tell them what happened and include a picture or two. I have no idea if they will step up to the plate and send you a replacement, but it's worth a shot.

So I pulled the trigger and bought a silver duo and a goon rda. 171.93 for both ain't bad. Couldn't resist with vapenw 20% off coupon code. Only thing is I wanted a black goon but they only had copper in stock. I'm tempted to order another vt133 too. 80 bucks sounds so good. Hmmmm

Welcome to the club . I posted my Ecig profile back on page 7 along with instructions on how to upload it to your mod. It includes 7 profiles (1 for power mode and 6 for TC), case thermals, mod resistance, battery CSV, WH, amount, and type for LG HG2's. It also includes custom screens and custom theme. It will get you setup and ready to roll.
Here's the link:
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hcigar-vt133-dual-18650-dna200.171476/page-7#post-1181938

PS I also posted the CSV file for Samsung 25R's in this thread. Seems like most of us are using one or the other

Cheers,
Steve

Hey folks,

Here's another early 4th of July sale. This one from Vapor Cube. Don't waste your time trying to get this discount on the Hohm Wrecker G2. However, if you want a cheap Hohm Wrecker original for power mode... you can snag it for like $50. I thought about it, but would have and tried to snag the G2 at a steal price. Of course I had to see if I could BEFORE posting :giggle:

Code: 71off4thjuly

Discount: 71%

Hope this is useful to anyone looking to pick up something on the cheap!

Happy Vaping

Hey folks,
Here's another early 4th of July sale. This one from Vapor Cube.

Thanks... enabler. :p

No free shipping so that cost about $11. Poor me... only a 67% discount.
And you're right... no free lunch on the good regulated mods.

That said, I've never had (or used) a mech... so I bought five.

Was gonna do it sooner or later, what the hell.
Decent clones of known designs, I hope.
I'll probably learn, test and then stash all but one or two.
Or... you may have created a monster. :p

Of more immediate importance... grabbed one of those aluminum block style winders. Never tried one. Like a buck and half, why not. Kuros (single mandrel) are about the same price.

And a couple of their own brand (heavy duty... they claim) 1A wall warts... about $1.25 each.
(every mod includes a USB... but with all these mods I still only have two of the wall warts, old ones from early iSticks... they won't last forever and mine do get use... tablets, phone etc.)

That's funny you mention wall warts. The only mods that I've bought that came with them are my Lavaboxes. They are nice ones too, swivel plug (1a, 5v). I thought it was a nice touch.

I'll have to dip my toes into the "Unregulated" sections.
Find out about care and feeding.
Should one make eye contact... or avoid it? The mech users that is.

:D

Grabbed an Infinite 4Nine, two Tobecos (Manhattan & some magnet switch style) and a pair from Tesla... a Nemi and an Invader II.
Yes... I do know it's a dual series. Not using that anytime soon.
Could've done without the pistol grip, but wood is cool. And it was about $10. :p

On mechs, I'd stick to something like a Samsung 25R's. Even though Samsung only rates it at 20a CDR they are known to be conservative on their ratings. They are great batteries that are rock solid imo.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit Or one of the batteries in the 20-30a category, you will sacrifice some capacity though.

My couple dozen batts... all I have are 25Rs, HE4s and HG2s.
I'll always prefer the Sammies from that group. May get around to some of the newer 25A+ cells one day, but I don't build for or vape that way on my regs and don't plan to stress what I have on a mech. High builds or new cells.

Oh, I do now have one scary green Efest (26650 for the VT75). :p

i find it particularly funny that you went from "I've never had (or used) a mech... so I bought five" Nice. I have quite a few, never looked back since regulated boxes finally got really good :). That said, I think I will see how cheap I can score a mech box with series batt wiring. That would be fun!

What mechs did you get? Pass along the temptation!!!

Glad you went in and scored what appears to be some very exciting vape mail coming to ya hopefully soon!

I've never had a series Mech but at full charge you would be getting 8.4v to the coil . It would have to be a pretty beefy coil (high in resistance) not to taste like shit, wouldn't it? Maybe I'm missing something.

No, at least I don't think you're missing anything.

It takes an entirely different type of build. Perhaps a different philosophy of build.
I plan to know before I try.

That's okay, Turtle's in Florida, it's only Wednesday.

But I got a new, different Efest 26650 to worry myself over... this one's Fire Engine RED!

More important... will the 'Mizer sit flush on this 133.

FLUSH BABY !!! Woot !1!11 :p

I can live with 'em. :)
Man I'm hoping someone that ordered a Supreme from this thread doesn't like it. I have a Griffin 25, Billow V3 Plus, Merlin, and 2 TFV4's (one still factory sealed, the other had a 1 or 2 tanks through the 3 coil head (rinsed and dried) and nothing through the 4 coil head I can offer up as trades. All are mint, like new. Just trying to be helpful :D:giggle::giggle::D:devil:

Yeah... if I had still been rolling duals the past few months, I'd have snapped up a Supreme.
Fixed the couple three niggles we all have with these V1s.
The worst for me is no top-fill. Mine has the lopsided airflow so I have to back it off about an eighth of a turn... every time I refill and re-attach it. Grrr.

But dayum... such a nice vape. :p

Yup... this is certainly not the typical vape approach...For me it would be a novelty vape. So, what the series wiring gives you is higher top wattage, it solves the problem of mech mods with a 3.7v batt, 4.2 fully charged- limit, especially as the batt discharges. I used the hate the "cool" to practically cold vape (low volume) vape on mech with a batt half-full and under... Carried around at least 6Batt a day... Oh the good ol days of vaping!

Anyhow, with a series box, you could do like a quad clapton with tons of surface area (12 coils each) and wont worry too much about the ramp up time. That baby is gonna fire! Like I said, novelty. It's the electrical engineer in me that's drawn to the pure ohm's law of getting that balance of heat/wicking and of course safety RIGHT.

This is my take, the series boxes became popular way after I switched from mechs and RDAs

Ooops, sorry. i see your post from before. But hey, who's not excited to tell people what they bought multiple times!!!... All jokes aside, my bad!

Those are all great mechs... most of which I own either the OG, Clone or both :)

Of the list, my guess is that you will really enjoy the Nemesis (used to get a LOT of props in the day)
That 4 nine is just sleek and gorgeous (depends on the clone)... I have the OG and the seams are practically invisible... Amazing!

Just keep in mind, you are gonna build low - Safely of course but its a fun balancing act :) I'm partial to using drippers on mechs as tanks "typically" are not as great on them. Not saying you cant though YMMV

Hi,
Just got my first DNA device (VT133). I loaded Steve's profile, which seemed to work OK. But I'm unable to change profiles on the device. I lock the device, then hold both + and -. All I see is "Hold to change power" and I can change power, but not change profiles. What am I missing?

Also, even though Escribe runs fine, when I load it the second time, it displays an unhanded exception error. "Failed to get info" Have to reboot to run Escribe again. I'm using Parallels to run Escribe on a mac. Any tips are appreciated on this! Thanks.

Make sure the temp or wattage is locked. It depends which one you have checked off as dominant in escribe. Then press the + button 2x quickly to access your profiles.

You hold the + and - down for 5 seconds until you see either Temp Locked or Power locked (depending if it's in temp dominate or power mode). Then click on either + or - button twice to get into the profiles. Each additional click will scroll to the next profile (+ scrolls one way, - in reverse). Once you get to the 1 you want, press the fire button to select it (takes you out of profile selection mode)

Cheers,

No bad... see all those big honkin' smilies I put in there? :p

Honestly... thanks for posting the sale link.
Mechs aren't something I want to get into, but I hope to keep vaping longer than I expect my regulateds to last and who knows what we face a decade down this road.
It was time to check 'em out. ;)

Thank you for the comments on some of them. I'll be looking into whatever dedicated threads I run across. Tips, tricks, tuning & repairs, etc.

"Fucking magnets... how do they work?" :p

And with what you say about builds for a series dual... what the hell are so many people doing with their Noisy Crickets... damn, can't open a thread without seeing one mentioned.

OK you guys are going to get a laugh out of this. When I was answering the question about selecting profiles, I put my mod into the power profile to make sure it said power locked (I couldn't remember for sure if it said "Power Locked" or "Wattage Locked" because I'm always using TC). I set it down for awhile, pick it up and vape a few times and think why the hell is my vape so weak. Well I left in the Power Profile that I have set to only 13 watts to dry burn/clean my SS430 coils. I switched it back to SS430 TC and all is right with the world again. I couldn't believe I did that. Maybe if I practice with the mod a bit, I'll get the hang of how to operate it. :giggle::giggle::giggle:

Cheers,
Steve

I've been playing with the different display options so I don't have room for the material/profile name. So it doesn't sound very hard to mess that up for a few vapes.

Unlike me... I think at least twice a week I accidentally verify that my Bachelor's juice control... completely closes off the juice flow.

It's usually shortly after a refill. :p

Thanks all! I managed to change the profile. I misunderstood, and was locking the device (5-clicks) prior to double clicking the + to access profiles.
Once you get a chance to use it awhile, let us know what you think (if you get a chance). Oh yeah, if you have any questions feel free to ask. As you can see there are plenty of helpful people here. Good luck!

Thanks Steve. Only a few puffs in, but I already notice the vape is much smoother and more consistent through the puff, compared to my VTC-Mini (Griffin 22mm tank, SS304) Getting wattage and temp dialed in... :)

With the earlier talk about menu button press sequence, it's funny I was thinking this morning to post about people's preference. I personally changed mine to 3 button presses. I find that it's safe enough to prevent accidents yet simple/fast enough to get through the menu faster and lock/unlock for travel.

For those that don't know..this like almost everything on a DNA are customizable. I'm a 3 button presser:)

You might need to turn preheat up in the SS304 setting. I found I got a smoother TC graph/experience with TC basically turned off with SS316 so I just assumed it would be the same for all grades. I think I set it at 1 watt, 1 punch for 1 second. You would do that in the general tab on Escribe. Each TC profile has it's own preheat settings. I'm not saying you have to or should, I'm just making you aware that I believe I basically turned it off. I don't really use SS304 so I never had a chance to test the preheat effect on the TC graph. I'm glad so far you are finding the mod to be a smooth vape!

Cheers,
Steve

I've never had a series Mech but at full charge you would be getting 8.4v to the coil . It would have to be a pretty beefy coil (high in resistance) not to taste like shit, wouldn't it? Maybe I'm missing something.

Cheers,
Steve
I have a Cricket serial mech w/a Science of Vaping 5K RDA and a single 8 wrap fused Clapton 2-28/1-32 @ 2.5mm @ .75 Ohms and it is delightful.
0 ramp up time that I can discern. I believe you need to stay above .4 Ohms on a serial mech.
