Plug in the mod but don't turn on the update port. Pull up your start menu and go to devices and printers. You'll see an unknown device. Turn on the update port on the mod and the unknown device will disappear, and a name(i don't remember what) will appear in its place. Double click, hit install drivers, and choose to find them yourself rather than letting Windows search. Select the drivers folder in your Hohmtech directory and hit ok. That should do it. Just be quick once you turn the port on so the mod doesn't power off while you're installing.

So my chastising of them is valid - they definitely did not go above and beyond just said they were working on fixing the issues but I would need to buy a whole new device... No thanks. I know they read these forums so they are free to reach out to me if they want to correct the situation. And you missed my point about the cost. I am saying that HT should not have even attempted to build this product and should have stuck with high quality devices only.

They actually get angry if you bring up another mod or chip in "their" threads. To the point where they actually take it personally. They also go trolling other threads spewing the virtues of the DNA and you better not disagree with them. Now mind you, I love the DNA but it's not the only board I use and love. Some of these fanboys get really mad when they hear other vapers say the FSK does a great job at TC. A few of these members went out and bought a G2 just so they could tear it down feel good about all the DNA's they have bought. The problem with that was a lot them wound up loving the G2. A few of the diehard DNA fanboys looked to nit pick but the best they could come up with was, I don't like the symbols, I don't like the name, it's too boxy, and my screen was a hair crooked. They never said they got a $135 mod for under $70 or that most of the DNA's they were comparing it to were well over $100. Some of these same people being so annoyed that they really couldn't knock the G2, went out and bought a Slice even after people like myself warned them about the wiggly battery door and shoddy paint job. They didn't do this because they love the FSK board. They bought the Slice because in some twisted sick fanboy way they have to prove to the world that the DNA is the best chip out there. Chris this the 3rd time you have chimed in on a Slice or G2 thread bitching about the CS. In fact the last time you did I asked you who you dealt with because I was going to try to help you but you ignored my question. We get it already, you're not happy with the Slice and you think HT CS sucks. I really think you should just stick with your DNA's since nothing else seems to make you happy. For the rest of us we like having a choice, we like using different boards, and experiencing different mods. I am truly happy for you that you found what makes you happy as a vaper. I think I may have just stumbled upon something. I'm sitting here, watching a movie puffing on my recoil on the G2. I get the whole no fire thing. I look at the coils, they look wet but nothing extra in the bottom. I drip more and it's instant fire again. Maybe the mod is detecting no juice to prevent dry fire, the whole point of TC in my opinion. I don't know how it works but maybe the mod "thinks" it's dry when it's not?

When this happens to me I simply lock the resistance, fire my device to warm up the coils, unlock resistance and it works perfectly every time.

$60 is $60. And this is about protecting your brand. You cannot come out with a great product like the Hohm Wrecker and that follow it up with a low quality mod in Slice. That would be like Apple releasing a sh#tty phone at a lower price and customers just accepting it. Hohm Tech should have just stayed with high quality / high price. Consumers would still pay. And I disagree they are good customer service. Just listening but not taking action for your current customers would be like Amazon listening to your problem but not allowing you to return a product. So to the person who wants to know if they should return their box unopened, I say absolutely. And to the person in Canada, happy to sell you mine.

I have many mods, including DNAs including FSK, etc, ADMODUS devices, Yihi, etc about 10 to be exact (maybe not as many as you, but only three of them are DNAs!) -- many suck (including one DNA) and some are good (like my Lavabox M I just got yesterday) And I love my Hohm Wrecker and I love the chip better than all of my DNAs (why would I even say that I love the FSK if I was a DNA fanboy, come on, seriously?). But the company as a whole blew it on the Slice, poor quality and just not up to the same level as the Hohm Wrecker (yes, chip is great, but I don't just a mod solely on the chip. Form factor and quality mean something to me). Ok, lets clear up a few things. As I have said before I am in no way, shape, or form affiliated with or employed by HT. I do not know anybody there on a personal level. I have over time become friendly with a few people there and I do on occasion correspond with them via email. After observing your attitude on this forum I would not go to bat for you or try to help you out with any vendor or company. You remind of one those girls that got stood up for the prom. For the rest of their lives all they can do is tell everyone how they got stood up and how all men suck. As I have said before dozens of people here have had nothing but a positive experience with HT CS. You on the other hand seem to think that because your paint is chipping and your battery door is a little loose that you are entitled to a new mod. They offered you a fix for the battery door and you refused to do it. It's not the solution you wanted but you were indeed given a solution. No mod is perfect but the bottom line is you have never complained about the functionality of your mod just the aesthetics and cosmetics. Funny thing is you want to hold HT to these ridiculous standards but no one in the industry meets the standards you want them to meet. I have 4 VT133's. 3 in a box, one I use. The one I use has a battery door with chipped paint and every once in awhile if I grab it just by the battery door the cover flies off and I drop my mod. Do I expect Hcigar to replace my battery door and fix the looseness of it? No, I learned to live with it. My Rx200 has a shitty 510, cracked battery sled, and jumps out of TC once in awhile. Did I expect Wismec to replace it. No I learned to live with it. My G2 has a crooked screen, you can tell only if you really look at it. Did I expect HT to replace it? No I learned to live with it. My Reauleuax DNA has a cracked battery sled, shitty 510, and used to tear the shit out of my battery wraps. Should Wismec replace it? No I learned to live with it. I owned an X Cube II that had a battery door that slid around like a first time skater. Should Smok recall all the X Cube II's? No, people learned to live with it. The difference between HT and all the other companies I just mentioned is they admitted their flaws and either fixed or attempted to fix them going forward. In my book that goes a long way. I really could care less whether you like the Slice or not. It really is no skin off my ass. My problem with your posts is that you are constantly bitching about HT CS because you had a few minor little problems that no other mass produced mod company would have made good on.

dude, I straight up don't like my Boreas i see now why its called BOREAS, Latin for BORING lol I am just playing
It worked great the first day i slapped in some claptons and cotton and it was working great then it started gurgling juice up the chimney getting lots of juice in my mouth or it wold gush juice form the air holes. It's been nothing but a pain in my asshole. The larger deck is trash because some how one of my screw driver tips broke in the screw inside the deck post making the whole deck trash ( not worth buying a shit tone of tools to extract a screw from a $5 part!) Not to mention Dry hit after dry hit. I think i would be better off with the Supreme something i can Physically adjust JFC and AFC.
I know there is a lot of you out there who love the shit out of your Boreas but mine has just been too much of a hassle, Lately I have been using the Vector RDA or Limitless plus (never have issues with it unless I try to pocket it(leaks)). I think my Fav tanks are Jenny style tanks hope i spelled that right or RDAs at-least until I find the right RDTA.

Sounds like your wicking is the problem. I cut my wicks so they are long enough to barely touch on the deck. I lay them on the deck without forcing them in. Just make sure the holes are covered but not stuffed.

After observing your attitude on this forum I would not go to bat for you or try to help you out with any vendor or company. You remind of one those girls that got stood up for the prom. For the rest of their lives all they can do is tell everyone how they got stood up and how all men suck. As I have said before dozens of people here have had nothing but a positive experience with HT CS. You on the other hand seem to think that because your paint is chipping and your battery door is a little loose that you are entitled to a new mod. They offered you a fix for the battery door and you refused to do it. It's not the solution you wanted but you were indeed given a solution. No mod is perfect but the bottom line is you have never complained about the functionality of your mod just the aesthetics and cosmetics. Funny thing is you want to hold HT to these ridiculous standards but no one in the industry meets the standards you want them to meet. I have 4 VT133's. 3 in a box, one I use. The one I use has a battery door with chipped paint and every once in awhile if I grab it just by the battery door the cover flies off and I drop my mod. Do I expect Hcigar to replace my battery door and fix the looseness of it? No, I learned to live with it. My Rx200 has a shitty 510, cracked battery sled, and jumps out of TC once in awhile. Did I expect Wismec to replace it. No I learned to live with it. My G2 has a crooked screen, you can tell only if you really look at it. Did I expect HT to replace it? No I learned to live with it. My Reauleuax DNA has a cracked battery sled, shitty 510, and used to tear the shit out of my battery wraps. Should Wismec replace it? No I learned to live with it. I owned an X Cube II that had a battery door that slid around like a first time skater. Should Smok recall all the X Cube II's? No, people learned to live with it. The difference between HT and all the other companies I just mentioned is they admitted their flaws and either fixed or attempted to fix them going forward. In my book that goes a long way. I really could care less whether you like the Slice or not. It really is no skin off my ass. My problem with your posts is that you are constantly bitching about HT CS because you had a few minor little problems that no other mass produced mod company would have made good on.

yeah im running my SS316 in the regular TC mode now and it works great was using the xxx before the update as well/

I used to run my SS coils in xxx mode with a 12% fsk curve. Because for me it was just a better vape. Now I use the preset SS and I find to be real good.

Plug in the mod but don't turn on the update port. Pull up your start menu and go to devices and printers. You'll see an unknown device. Turn on the update port on the mod and the unknown device will disappear, and a name(i don't remember what) will appear in its place. Double click, hit install drivers, and choose to find them yourself rather than letting Windows search. Select the drivers folder in your Hohmtech directory and hit ok. That should do it. Just be quick once you turn the port on so the mod doesn't power off while you're installing.

I might be starting to give up ans wait for Mac support if that ever happens.

It only recognized the slice when i turned tbe upgrade port on then said it needs trouble shooting.

The slice powers off before the same troubleshoot thing pops up.
