I might be starting to give up ans wait for Mac support if that ever happens.

It only recognized the slice when i turned tbe upgrade port on then said it needs trouble shooting.

The slice powers off before the same troubleshoot thing pops up.
Sorry for being a PIA. Lol

The performance using auto+TC has drastically improved in the slice!
Battery readout I still think is off by 5%. As for the g2 stainless TC hits harder now had to loser temp a lot and mess with % in advance menu. I wish the device had a interface some sort of software to see data charts because I still feel like the fsk curve is hit or miss without a visual reading. I know Psubarro or however his name is spelled on YouTube did some serious work with the g2 and was getting burnt cotton. Anyway no burnt cotton here Ever in TC mode. To bad that is not possible with watt mode :).
I want anither g2, how about a limited edition that is all acrylic see through??? Totally doable

@Deucesjack weird concept but after rewicking the boreas and using the g2 if I use WM I start to get some nasty dry hits if I use xxx (forgot if the coil in here are kanthal or SS lol) no dry hits! I guess 90w is too much for 0.30ohms....i like the vape almost hot with dense clouds. I always use Auto wattage in TC mode it's easier unless I use some weird coil build that needs a serious boost.

That is kinda weird. How's the Boreas now with less cotton? Any gurgling?

I hear you there! I just use Parallels Desktop on my Mac to do these types of updates (DNA, IPV, G2 etc)

One company that "gets it" is Wismec. They have a Mac updater that works flawlessly for my RX200S.

I use a mac at work, but i also use VM ware so I'm running a mac and windows machine side by side basically. Mac is still lacking in support for most non popular apps and IMO windows 10 is a much better OS. Only time Mac had a better OS is back when vista came out and iOS was actually good. the latest IOS updates are terrible. I'm running Yosemite, it's still not very good, I didn't update to El Capitan because it's terrible. Snow leopard was the last good one they had IMO. Windows is on an every other OS is good schedule apparently. XP was awesome, Vista sucked, 7 was awesome, 8 sucked, 10 is awesome.

Working good but it just isn't the same as the limitless as I get better flavour and clouds with the iJoy limitless.
It's all subjective and it's all good. Some people like the Avocado over the Limitless and vice versa. I won an Azeroth and I'm waiting for it to come from China. Looks like a Limitless with a goon deck. Looking forward to trying it. I normally prefer tanks to the Genny style tanks. I'm pretty active and the Genny style tanks just don't travel well. If I don't like this Azeroth I'll just trade but this will be my first run with a goon deck. Can't wait.

it means your ohms are less then .007 which i doubt, so likely it means that your rda isn't making a good circuit with the mod. loose coil, a coil touching metal, or the rda needs to be cleaned and reassembled,

It means your outside of the operating range. Reset the resistance. If that doesn't work check your coil.

All subjective...well at this point with Win 10. From a programmer perspective, I use a Mac as the hardware software layer is FAR easier and more robust to code. Unix is responsible for that tho. Win 10 is great in IMO BC it is very much like OSX, except the annoying hardware driver issues persist, just not as bad.

To put it in perspective, when you plug a USB device into a Mac, there is rarely a need to install a "driver" and if you do..changing the USB port does not affect the status of said driver :). That's a lamen's perspective but one that most can relate. Otherwise, these days with Win 10... The OS performs as it should and responsive and sensibly laid out as MacOs has done for years now.. IMO

I have got the Ohm Restricted message with a 0.02 ohm Ni200 build. The G2 specs show a minimum resistance of 0.007 ohms so I figured the 0.02 build would be fine, nope...

.02 should be fine. The lowest I've fired on it is .08. It sounds like an issue with your coil or RDA right now. I'd suggest making sure everything is tight. the 510 on the RDA and the screws on the RDA holing in the coil. Personally I hate Ni200 wire, it could have broken off in the screw. it's too fragile and too low of a resistance IMO to get a good build with it.

just make sure your screws are tight and the coil isn't broken. tighten up the 510 on the RDA as well and make sure the 510 on the mod isn't jammed either and see if that worls

It was a dual twisted 26g build, I'll try it again on a different atty. I always build with SS316L or SS430and just wanted a working 0.02 or 0.01 build for a vape group posting.

Do you have another mod to try it on? If you do try it, if not disassemble the atty, clean, and reassemble.

Remember heat expands metal, and then cooling contracts it. Doing this over and over will loosen up screws. It could be the 510 pin being loose on the atty

I tried a different RDA today. Put a dual twisted 26g in the Tsunami, 6/5 wraps on 2.5mm for a 0.015Ω build and the G2 game me the Ohm Restricted message. So I moved the Tsunami over to the VT75, it read the coil as 0.01 and was able to fire it. It pegged the Current reading at 30A and there was no vape quality at all. :giggle:

So having the spec of a 0.007Ω minimum resistance must be an in theory thing. Building that low is totally ludicrous anyway, I just wanted to see how l low the G2 would fire.

Back to my regular 24g SS316L builds.

I was using my Cerakoat tank on my SMY SDNA75 yesterday, had that with me as it was the only tank I was sure I had a SS coil in. I brought it along with me when I met someone who bought my Triade DNA200 just in case he wanted to test the SS TC on the mod. Haven't used that tank in a while and thought hmmmm, it is ok, not the best but decent. I had to charge the battery on the SMY so I switched the Cerakoat over to my G2 which has the newest update installed. Fired it up expecting to have to adjust the FSK as I assumed it was in xXx mode but the vape was REAL nice, this tank is performing a lot better and hitting hard. I looked to see were my batteries were and low and behold I was in SS TC mode, wow, it was vaping a lot better than if I had tried to tweak the vape in xXx mode.

I also noticed my batteries were at 20% but it was vaping great still, usually I can tell the vape is getting weaker around 35 to 40% if I am vaping in the 75 to 100 watt range. I will have to check it out more but it seems the battery life has been improved or maybe the TC modes are more efficient than XXX?

I am going to put the Cerakoat back into my rotation of tanks, much better performance on the G2 when in SS TC mode. I am also going to rebuild some of my RTA's with SS to use in that mode.

Sorry to see what happened @rckVape , that TFV8 really is a beast, I hope you still have the spare glass.

So the only issue that I have with it so far is the battery door rattle, but that's most probably caused by my thick battery wraps. I tried my 25r that isn't rewrapped and there's no wiggle at all, as long as I position the ribbon correctly. That's about it and it's not even the g2's fault

Quick q: does a higher fsk affect battery life? I read somewhere back that if you want a warmer vape, increase the fsk curve. Also, will having a higher curve run a risk of dry hits? I'm currently at 50% running kanthal core framed and ribbons, nichrome ribbon wrap.

I had the same issue. I just cut the strap and all good. You may not want to desecrate the G2 that way but it worked for me. I really had no use for the ribbon as the batteries are easy to pop out.

It does, I was saying that 1 out of my 3 G2s had an issue with them, I sent it in for warranty and it's been working ever since. They couldn't duplicate the issue but changed my 510 pin, the board, and updated the firmware

Not sure on how the FSK affects battery life, I would just assume if it is hitting harder then the batteries would drain faster.

You do run the risk of getting dry hits if you run your FSK too high. I guess you can think of it like a TCR, if it is not set right it won't prevent a dry hit. I alternate between a lot of tanks and from time to time I will get a dry hit, usually not cough up a lung bad but it happens. I do like to run my tanks a bit hot though, when I sense the tank is drying up I will either reduce the temp or FSK and vape my cotton dry if I am changing flavors.

Same thing happens with most of my other TC mods, I run my DNA'S hot too, usually 550 to 600 degrees to get the punch I am looking for. When I start getting a little dry I turn the temp down.
