Ok, what's the general consensus? For $30 bucks the Slice ( as note above on sale) appears to be a bargain, but I haven't followed real closely the issues with that mod or if they were fixed or not. I have a lot of 26650's 'cause I thought they were going to be the hot ticket, and have a Stout and a one off PCWoodmods squonker that use the battery, but don't want to add another mod to the herd unless there is a good chance I will use it. I do have a G2 that does not see a lot of use (has real black carbon fiber panels permanently installed that look killer), and I would consider a trade. But for the Slice, with current prices, it appears there would have to be some cash or other goodies involved. :)
If you don't use the G2 due to its functionality, then the slice won't be for you. If you don't use it because of its form factor but like the functionality and versatility, then the slice would probably be a good buy for you.

Most things I've gotten from people in the US has pretty much always been $10 usd. So, therefore, if you do buy it and realize you don't like it after a couple weeks, I'll gladly transfer you $35 for it!

There's an option to select international checkout. I'm pretty sure flat rate to Canada is 38usd from what I seen. Also, I couldn't figure out how to get that coupon code to work for my "pretend order". I applied it before I clicked international checkout but it was cleared off as far as I could tell.
Exactly right. The Slice has the same chip as the G2. Only difference is the Slice does 101w vs 171w for the G2.

I thought the NL might have been NFLD.

If VaporBeast offered the standard international USPS shipping, it would still be $20 CAD. You should check with TopShelfVapor.ca to see if they have any gathering dust around the store. Talk them into a deal... ;)

Lol
They don't have much of a stock around here. They're one of the not so good stores, but I will check the website and give them a call just to see. Ya never know your luck sometimes

Black one is SE on update 2.4.7. Photo does not do the carbon fiber justice...
Thanks for posting up the pic. I like the looks of that and like I said, would be very interested next month whne I get my bonus if you decide to part with it. BTW, do the carbon fiber panels diminish the extra power a silver G2 normally has? ;):giggle:

Is that for a pair, each or what? I would not mind getting a pair to try but the seller doesn't mention the quantity. I did send him a message though to ask about it.
He can build you a 10inch strip and you can make 4 to 8 coils depending on size..... Email him..... His name is Dan and he is in MIAMI...

They are like $10.00 just buy a pair and tell him to send you a strip to test them.... They guy is cool as hell......

Are they bad because they are over priced, or are there other issues?

Mainly for me was their selection. They did seem a bit more expensive than the other stores around but again, I haven't been in to one of their stores in a while now. My first ever dealing with them was when I was first getting into mods that had changeable 18650s. I had bought one across town, 25R, and I thought it was a fake due to the silver sticker on it. I brought it in to the top shelf store for them to look at and without even removing the sticker to check it they told me it was a fake and sold me a Sony instead. I did some research after and came to the conclusion that the 25R was, as far as I could tell, legit. Just the little things. Turned out I needed the back up battery anyway...lol

Not really in any hurry to sell it, so if you want it next month that would be fine :). The extra power of the Silver G2's is why I purchased several, and as far as I can tell there is no power loss from the carbon fiber panel addition. Tactile feel and aesthetics are enhanced however...

Really I was hoping to get some feedback on the current Slice, as I recall several complaints/issues with the initial introduction.

Thanks, didn't mean to derail your post, but will check back with you next month. Good luck with your Slice if you get one.:)

There's a whole Slice thread here where you can definitely get a good feel for the mod and different opinions on it. Matt from suck my mod just did a review today. Definitely worth a look and its not long at all.

Yeah it was produced and in the FDA cluster fuck going on they decided to sell it in Europe and not USA..... There are some around, you have to hunt them down.......

Kinda like the G3 I've heard rumors of I guess. Friggin' FDA. I hope Trump gives them a reality check.

I think you can stop hunting. From what I know the mod is not out anywhere yet. If someone does have a pic or a link I'd be interested in it.

They never did a dual 18650 RX2/Battlestar configuration? Would be a bit more pocket friendly.

I could see where that would grind your gears. Little stupid things will keep me out of some of the local B&M's as well. Just curious, as they ship basically next day for me so it's good to know about the few and far between Canadian online options.

I hate Canvape and would rather order something from the US, England or Germany than buy from them.

Thats awesome bro. I looked for a 3 amp brick when I first bought my Slices and for the life of me I couldn't find one. Definitely ordering this. Thanks.

Excellent! Let us know how it works out!

I though you meant Matt did a review on the Home Run... Teach me not to read the whole post... :D
I'll wait for your good buddy the Vaping Heathen to review it. :giggle:

I haven't ordered from canvape, but I find their selection to be a little behind the times. I was looking through top shelfs site after you mentioned it, and their selection and prices seem pretty good! The slice for example, if you couldn't get it on sale with decent shipping then it would be way cheaper to order through top shelf

I think that one is 2x1.5amp but let me know if it works. Most raspberry pi devices use a regular 1 amp USB input. It's not the bricks that are the limiting factor here I think it's the micro USB.

He shows it putting out 3A in this picture, that tester only plugs in to a single USB port..

So over the weekend I threw in a different set of batteries. 80% right before bedtime... next morning. Completely dead. Just from sitting there. The device was locked by the buttons but that is it. Not happy with this. Bad ground or firmware issue. Anyone else seeing something similar. This has now happened with a set of Sammy 25r's and my VCT5's.

Your the first person I've seen with this issue. Try reloading the firmware and if that doesn't work your gonna have to call HT

Yeah out of all the posts here I've never seen that. What happens when you throw a different set of batteries in?
