Yeah out of all the posts here I've never seen that. What happens when you throw a different set of batteries in?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
He said it's happened with 25Rs and VCT5s. I.cant really see it being a firmware issue either to be honest. It sounds like a short/bad ground somewhere to me.

Wow... little update. I just tossed my VCT5's I had in the G2 over the weekend into my Xtar VC4... They came up as being NI-MH because they were so low on voltage. They finally switched back over to li-ion and are showing 0v... so those things got below 3v. That is the lowest reading on the VC4 in Li-ion mode. I wish I could see how low. There isn't anything wrong with the battery cells that I can see or smell.

How old are those batteries? How low, if you can remember, were the 25s when you put them on charge?
There is definitely something funky going on with your mod. I would use a different one until you get something figured out.

The batteries I got earlier this year, both sets. I haven't had any issues with either set until trying to use them in the G2. I called and left a message with HT already. I will wait to hear back from them.

In the meantime... just gonna have to shelf my G2 and go back to my Flask or NC for now while here at work.

Left a message? Suprised nobody picked up that phone.

That is how I build mine. 28x2ss430 wrapped in 40g K A1. They run all day long on xXx mode. I have found that they run on SS mode, but 430 always has issues with preset SS modes. Everything is built for 316. So I run in xXx anyway. Also, if you use a mod other than a FSK chipped mod, snip the wrap back so that is doesn't go into the mounting eyelets in the deck. That way your mod will read and base TC off of the cores and the cores will heat the wrap. I have done that before as well. I ran all of my SS DC's like that in my DNA's. Now I just wrap in 37g 316ss.

So over the weekend I threw in a different set of batteries. 80% right before bedtime... next morning. Completely dead. Just from sitting there. The device was locked by the buttons but that is it. Not happy with this. Bad ground or firmware issue. Anyone else seeing something similar. This has now happened with a set of Sammy 25r's and my VCT5's.

I had heard of one other person who said the same happened to them. To be clear, you were not powering down the device, correct?

Aliens are still beyond my capabilities. I'm sure I could but it's awful intimidating.

Did you hear back from HT after?

I never got a call back but I emailed them and got and immediate answer. My G2 is packaged and ready to be mailed out tomorrow at lunch. So all good at the moment. They said that they have never heard of any of their mods doing that. Hopefully I get an award or something for first ever issue like that! Haha. Free HOhm Slice for a backup would be cool with me! haha

Have any of you had any issue with vaporcube? How did they respond to your email or ticket?

I open a ticket asking if they could ship to Indonesia and I got one reply from Benjamin saying that they can't ship to Indonesia due to high numbers of fraud on credit card and PayPal. I then replied and ask if presenting the copy of my credit card and ID card will do any help. I didn't get any response since then.

A friend of mine is visitting Indonesia so I thought I'll order a G2 and delivered to his address so he can bring it when he comes. I placed an order in vaporcube but when I checked out it says that my card rejected but when I check my statement they charged my credit card.

I open another ticket since last Friday about this issue and provide screen capture of my credit card statement. Got no response at all even after several follow up through the ticket.

There's no phone number at all in their website, the only way to reach them is through the support ticket which I'm not happy with. I'm wondering if anybody has their phone number I can contact? Thanks

Np bro, give them a call they'll straighten it out. They're on California time.

Haven't got any chance to call vaporcube due to time difference but today the transaction is already gone from my statement, I guess their payment processor already sent the reversal to my bank.

Thing that I forgot to mention in my previous post that vaporcube advised me to contact hohmtech directly if I want to have the items shipped to Indonesia. So I did drop an email to hohmtech and told them that I wanted to purchase their mods and vaporcube advised me to reach out to them directly. Jacob from hohmtech replied saying that he can help me but will need to process the order offline using a payment authorization form.

He sent me the form the next day, I completed it and sent it back right away. Jacob then got my order processed in the next 1hr and the next hour I got an email from vaporcube saying that my order has been shipped.

@Deucesjack I just realized from the phone number in Jacob's email signature that he's they guy you were referring to? So vaporcube is hohmtech's?

These what I purchased

There's a huge scratch behind the battery door of G2 but that shouldn't be an issue.

Told you they'd take care of you bro. They'll replace the door to if you tell them to. Yes, Vapor Cube is basically the HT factory store. It's where all the warranty work is done. Enjoy that Wrecker and Slice. Welcome to the club.

Thanks will play around with them for the next few days, will let the VS DNA133 to have a rest for a while.
Naah the scracth is actually nothing compared to the support Jacob provided during the ordering process, I saved lots of time and money since my friend is kind enough to bring these mods to Indonesia, I can live with the scratch....

Just bought one of these yesterday and it should be here tomorrow. It had me at .007 ohms LOL! I haven't read thru this whole thread yet, but I'm curious as to how low some of the builds members here have put on their G2?

I doubt I'll ever put the low ohm limit to the test on the G2 as about the lowest build I've used is a .2 ohm.
My builds usually fall between .1 and .2 but occasionally I'll wind up below .1 and the g2 is the only mod that'll fire that in power mode. Well that and the slice

That is not a scratch, you will find the same mark by the upper magnets. I guess it might be how they match up doors and body's during assembly, possibly before anodizing or to identify the Machinist/CNC lot run etc. My Silver G2 has the same mark as your Black one and my Red G2 has a figure 8 on it's side.

I couldn't get the G2 to fire a 0.01Ω build, so I think the 0.007Ω was a HT lab thing. I'd like know how it was done just for the sake of curiosity.
