Vaping one of the Bean's right now. The wood buttons are horrible. Let us know how wood fire button is on Mozaic. It is much smaller than the ThorII and shaped to fit hand. The LG HG2 actually lasts longer than the Ijoy 21700. The LG is a much better battery. The battery caps have to screw all the way in on these. I like it flush with Mod. Thor/II has the best battery cap I have seen. Fully adjustable. The beans do have serial numbers on them Duh. I could not see without my glasses. I have 8 and 24. I do not think he has made very many as it is not his main line of work. He builds furniture. I just hope the button does not break. It feels pretty bad. All wood buttons do. Except for Thor/II. It has the metal stiffening ring around the wood fire button. The ThorII is more worth the $305(first release) than the bean is $500. The ThorII is a real bargain IMO. It is my favorite Mod right now. Most others, even custom I do not like as much. Except Manny's first DPM. Do not know how it "handles" but it is indeed beautiful. Bean's were kind a waste of money IMO. They are very nice and also small but the fire button sucks. Also, I do not like battery cap but pretty much standard on most custom Mods. I am wondering how the fire button is on your Mozaic when you get it. I feel wood buttons, unless reinforced like Thor/II are pretty lousy feeling. The bean's also heat up since they are small. Although I am chain vaping but only at 28.6W and 450F in temp control mode. I can imagine it gets smoking hot at high wattage. It is okay. All of mine are okay. I just prefer the ThorII. The bean's seem to have that hairspray coating like the VA does. They look plenty good without sanding though. I doubt it is poly as it is very dull. Oh well, I recommend them for looks but not for overall performance. Although the Mozaic fire button may be similar. For Manny's sake I hope not. All wood buttons seem to be though. Have several Carlo's Creation just as bad. Actually bean is putting my hand to sleep. So much for ergonomics. YMMV with it obviously. The fit and finish are good at least.

The Nataraki buttons are flushed and clicky.... Very nice.... The buttons are also stainless steel on the Mozaic..

I have been using TC regularly at 45 watts and 450 degrees, even at that wattage the 26650 last all day and sometimes over a day if I lower the puffs.....

Oh, disregard then. The pics of Mozaic you had posted had a wood fire button. I take it that is not what you are getting. I actually recommend against wood buttons. Although using the bean a while it tightened up some. It is no metal button though. Go figure I like the Thor/II better. I cannot say these custom Mods are worth $$$ because Stu is making lovely ones for just $. I do feel his are nicer than the Thor/II without even having used one. A picture is worth a thousand words of course. Unfortunately I cannot post any of my own though. There are many nicer Mods than Thor/II but not sure if the prices are often warranted. Since Stu is offering better than most for a very fair price. Since he will make what you want, it is not like you are getting all the same thing either. I mean if you purchase more than one from him.Personally I would rather spend less for more. Although Mozaic and a few DPM I cannot get are exceptionally nice as well. Just not sure what dictates the pricing. I have plenty of expensive Stabwood Mods but not sure they should have cost what they did. Especially when it comes to VA for instance. Well, I guess the market drives the pricing. For instance why people want to relieve me of my Top Hat for 13 Grand. That is nuts though. I think $600-$800 is fair for certain ones however. It depends their volume of production ETC. I suppose. Regardless if I want them, which I do I must pay the going rate nonetheless. Well, the bean's are very nice save for the darn buttons. I would just stay away from wood buttons in general. Otherwise the bean's are pretty nice IMO. Anyways as I said, it already seems to have broken in some. It simply will never have a tactile click like metal though. They are otherwise fine. Much smaller than ThorII and a good 18650 lasts longer than a questionable 21700. Mooch was not a fan of the Ijoy 21700 either. It is a lot easier to remove/replace however. Although it does dent the negative terminals. I guess nothing is perfect. That is why we buy them all! Diversity is the spice of life. Especially since each one is unique unto itself.

Edit: Button on the Bean broke in with tactile click just like metal after 12 hours usage. It is fine now. Out of the box it felt horrible. That is strange. Never heard of breaking in a button. There is literally no difference to a good metal button now. Well, at least that was lucky. With 18650 lasting longer than 21700 I have to now say this actually better than the ThorII! Since it is much smaller and lighter mainly. It also looks very good. Manny, didn't you say you wanted a bean shaped Mod? Well, here you go! Unfortunately they are sold out of 75C though. Just regular DNA75 left and only 4 of them at that. He did not build very many at all. I got #8 and #24. They both look nice but completely different. That is why I got these Two. I would not want a Mod over #50 either. The lower the serial the more valuable. Plus probably better built than high serial, start to get sloppy from boredom by then. I do not even understand how one person hand makes thousands of them though. It is not like they took 30 years but maybe less than a year. How do they build so many by themselves? The battery cap does not dent battery and smoother threads than ThorII. Although it must be screwed completely up into the Mod with no handle on it. I prefer it flush and with a handle. Although it seems all custom Mods are that type of cap. It also has very good 510. Good quality and threads are smooth. I know I must drive Y'all nuts keep changing my mind LOL. I will be using these for a while as only Mods now. Just dethroned Thor's hammer! Well, not really. I still like the Thor/II very much. Just my latest toy here.

Sorry for wall of text. Not feeling very good right now. I do not mean to drive everyone bat nuts.

A lot lol!!
They have nice stuff and so does The Mozaic Group......

My Mozaic is on the works.... I had to fax him my hand drawn-traced on a piece of paper..... To shape it to my right hand grip....

Picked the wood block already, chose the material for the buttons and the size for the matching beauty ring in same Matchi Stabwood.

You can also select the finish from natural to smooth and even high gloss to protective shinny......

This is my first mod built to my specs not somebody else....

He will send me pictures of how it's being completed and a video of the mod to finalize everything before shipping......

I chose the middle block..... It's going to be similar to this one in picture 2

You need to have one built..... Just for you, your specs, your buttons, your chip preference, your wood, ......

Your mod made for you no serial numbers 1 to 1....

The only one made for you the way you like it.....

Stu can do it....

I finalized everything today on The Mozaic......

The DPM's are hard to put down.....

I have some Lost Vape with wood panels. All broken. That brand was junk IMO. YMMV though.

The 1x18650 does not last Duh. Not worse than my Ijoy 21700 though. Mooch did not like them. The HG2 is at least a good battery.

The Beans fit the hand better than the ThorII obviously. I prefer the ThorII because it looks so good under gloss. I guess the Beans are not "hairspray" like VA. They are a Matt Poly. I prefer finished to sanding just because I cannot sand.

The buttons got better but it just is not a metal button. I wish the 75C was more efficient too. Than 1x18650 would be viable.

I run the SX350J V2 the entire day (3) 5ml tanks at 55 watts@450 degrees on Temp control the entire day and next morning with a single 26650......

The Osiris with dual VTC 6 18650 two days at 50 watts.... Also Yihi SX 350J V2

There is an odd thing about the Crown IV. After I tighten battery cap I must quickly loosen and retighten it. Or it does not work. Says firing but no vapor. This is on every Mod with all different chips. So I know it is the Crown. Otherwise it is a good tank, hardly leaks. Only thing I really do not like is if I change the coil. Then all the juice empties out of the drip tip. It also may be the effiency culprit. I have not tried another tank recently. One bad thing about Bean. If you lightly rest your finger on the fire button it does fire. I like to rest finger there between puffs and no others have this issue. No pressure just lightly touching it. It should not fire but the small wood button is so lite.

When you have a clicky button that doesn't happen..... It requires force to push in....

That's what we call a mushy button..... But it's a habit you have to break..... That's a simple fix....(amputation)....

On the crown it sound like the 510 might be a bit in the short end.... Because it sometimes doesn't make contact or the 510 pin on the mod is sticking..... This happened before to me and a single drop of wd40 into the 510 will fix that and the oil will not short anything....

I know that is technically correct. However I once used WD-40 on a Mod and it killed it. Not sure if that was just a fluke and something else actually killed it altogether. It is not the Mod because it is happening on many Mods. It is the Crown, but otherwise great tank. Yes, wood buttons are mushy. Look nice though. It did improve with usage but no metal button still. It is not terrible now though. Stinking $500 Mod with all wood buttons. I wonder what he was thinking when he built them. Although even some Mozaic have a wood fire button. Along with other pricey Mods. At this point, now broken in it is not terrible though. Out of the box it stunk.

Speaking of boxes.... The Bean does not come in nearly as nice a box as the Asmodus stuff. It is fine with me though. I do not vape the box! It was a nice little box though. At least it is solid wood and not cardboard or whatever. 1x18650 is an issue with DNA75C. It is certainly a better Mod than the ThorII. I just prefer the ThorII. The Thor lasts longest with it's 26650. Still only lasts me 1-1/2 hours! I am guilty of chain vaping. I vape my fill then put it down for hours. The opposite of what most people do, I know.

If you figure 18650 lasts 45 minutes straight on. If used how most people do it should last the day. HG2 that is. VTC5 does not last as long of course. Changing battery is no big deal. Except the Beans screw cap might prove difficult even for able folks. In that regard Thor/II have much easier cap with fold out handle. Most custom Mods use what the Bean does anyways. It is a PITA for me but I like the little Mod. Actually it is rather large for 1x18650 IMO.

You did mention you wanted a bean shape. They are sold out now anyways. I am not sure you wanted this specifically, mushy button and all. I would hope Mozaic's wood button is better but I doubt it. It is, after all a wood button regardless. Some folks not that picky about it I guess. Kodama looks almost as good as Osiris! I wish any of mine looked so good but I am unable to sand. Plus, sanding on Poly coated Mods can spell disaster. I prefer coated obviously as a compromise of sorts for myself. At least Bean has a permanent finish. It is Matt though. I think gloss looks better. Still not glass like all that sanding brings you.

Well the problem is the sanding is what gives the wood definition and lines. Once they are sanded then you can clearcote them or add some shinny laquer.......

I don't go for wood buttons had too many fail.... From loose to falling off to ejuice ruining them to mushy......

Mine will be done this week...... It takes them a minimum of 5 days to complete......

Indeed. Wood buttons do suck. Although plenty of high end Mods can be had with them. Waste of money to ruin whole Mod on a button IMO.

That's why I picked my wood, my buttons, my power supply, my preffered chip and my preffered finish.....

I'm also adding a removable 510 plate.....

You can unscrew the 510 plate and add a 22mm RTA or RDA that allows the atty to be installed several mm into the mod when you screw in your tank or mod.

Bam add the Stabwood beauty cap and your matching Stabwood drip tip and all that's visible is the drip tip or a small amount of the Atty .....

See images for examples:

Well, Bean(s) were very poorly built. 510 was just sitting ontop of wood. Not screwed, glued, nothing. Just resting there. Wires came off when I unscrewed Atty. I know it is easy to fix but I cannot. Will try to find someone to fix it. Otherwise already lost $500. I am sure other one is the same way. So I will not even use it now. Back on my steadfast ThorII. That is a shame. At least easily fixed by the right person if I can find them.

It's an easy fix....you have to be able to get into the mod and put the inside nut back under the 510.....

That's an error that can be made by a new person who doesn't think it can back out....

Gadget can fix it or even Rocco, I won't take a chance on other folks mod.... The ihner nut under the 510 has to be placed in a section or a small solder spot so the nut doesn't back out again... that usually happens if an atty is too tight and turns the 510 plate.... when you are taking it off....

That's why I have one RTA on each mod...... Married one less thing to go wrong......

Send the fucker back so they fix it...

You are correct Manny. The Damn Crown IV broke ThorII too! it has a long post. Cannot screw all the way. I did not know this of course. Evolv is going to try to fix them. Or would you suggest I reach out to one of the Guy's you mentioned? Since Evolv said he cannot promise he does not chip the wood! Is Gadget on here? This is rather unfortunate but I appreciate your help.

Man I hate shit like this..... I gave up on crown early on...... My Nataraki the one you like has an adjustable copper 510..... I use one of those small screw drivers to adjust it up and down until it makes perfect contact and it's level with the mod.

It's a pain if you constantly change tanks, but I'm marrying tanks and batteries to the same mod..... Before I leave everyday I take a mod for that specific activity.....on that day.....

You don't want to take a thousand dollar mod mountain biking... Or to the beach...... Every mod has a purpose

And use several mods not just one..... That way their life is extended...... If you use the Thor 2 every day and every night....... It will last about a year or less before something breaks.......

That's why I recommend a mod after I know it will survive years of use... And abuse and last......

The best little Chinese mod..... That's beautiful, tough, and works like a charm is The Wildwolf......... It's really the best $34 bucks I spent on any mod...... Perfect for every day use and abuse......

I'm on month (6) with the mod and I use it for several hours daily..... She is beautiful..... I gave one as a Christmas present to a buddy that works on a Louisiana tugboat and he dearly loves it...... He pushes barges up and down the Mississippi River...... He abuses it and still works......

Imagine getting an entire year of Vaping with a $35 dollar mod.......

I feel for you and have been through that before..... That happened to me with a Triade DNA 200..... The first month paint started coming off, the second month the raised 510 became loose, had to tighten screws every day... Month (3) the leather became loose and lost more paint...... Month (4) atomizer check, battery check and right into the trash....... A $200 dollar mod wasted .....

Now I buy no Lost Vape mods...... Because of the bad experience.......

I buy a product and it fails, I never touch that brand again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manny I had a question for you please. First please how do I get ahold of Gadget?

Now the question. My Grandson is an Electronic Engineer. He knows nothing about Mods "physically" though. He was afraid to pry off the faceplate. He pulled out the 510. He sees no black wire going to 510. He wanted me to ask if they are using the battery tube as the negative contact? Thank you Manny.

Well the 510 needs a wire to the pin a negative, it's usually a black copper wire to a round plate (washer) that gets a nut and held on the 510......see image.....

It is kind of my fault. One I over used them. Two I screwed way too tight on non adjustable pins. I just wrecked over a Grand of Mods. I hope I can get them fixed. It is just the 510's need fixing. DNA boards and YIHI usually do not fail for many years. It is "mechanical" things that fail. Like solder joints, battery caps, 510 ETC. I know you have money and so do I. We are not so good that we outright abuse things. There is no reason for that no matter how wealthy you are. If you want to beat it get $35 Mod. No matter who you are is my opinion. I did not at all beat on these just made stupid mistake. Without adjustable or spring loaded pin you must be careful how far you screw down the tank/RDA. This was a bummer to say the least. Uwell does suck however. Should have used Falcon. My regrets.

You see the black nut that holds the 510 against the body of the mod......

That nut came loose......and everything below that fell in the mod

There is only a red wire soldered to the side. Must have black wire deep inside. Faceplate needs to come off but very few people can do it without damage.

Yeah I recommend you send it to them, once you open anything it voids all warranty........ And then they won't touch it anymore

Has anyone seen Raksasa mods ? I was thinking on getting one but I don't know how they would feel in hand ? They are single 18650 or 21700 with the DNA 75C.....Four master dudes makes these in Bali Indonesia out in the jungle ....... Hand colored and craved !

They’re beautiful but don’t look comfortable to hold for anything length of time. More pieces of art to admire and use occasionally!!

That’s exactly the shape I’m interested in. How do you go about ordering? What price range are we looking at?

The ThorII is working. Just not with the Crown IV! Which is also what busted the JM. Fuck you to Uwell compliments of myself!
The JM I obviously lost the black wire and nut inside. I imagine if Gadget repairs it warranty is void as well. Off to Evolv. I must say Evolv are great folks.
