I got this kit that came with these pads...... But not clear on how to use them....and this wax...Now, pardon the innuendo. When I was a younger lad I had polished my wood shinier than my now bald head!
Seriously Asmodus "editions" IE., 1/1 come with a padded emery board ladies may know well. To buff their nails. It is not high grit either! I would say. One side is like 400 and the other 600. Being an Engineer Manny you know there are grits of 90,000 but pretty much useless for this. I would wet sand with automotive backed 2,000. that would be sweet IMO. Certainly wet sand. Just take out batteries!
The surface wasn't rough but it's looking better.....from flat to a mirror feelI got this kit that came with these pads...... But not clear on how to use them....and this wax...

I'm going and hunting the car Polish pads....Oh, manny as a Engineer I figured you would know. At least you honest bro. High grit emery paper to apply wax is for furniture. Most I find effective is 32,000. Do what I said above. At your own risk of course but nothing will go wrong. Always in up/down-left-right motion. never sand in a circular motion. long story.
see stabwood by its very nature is another name for "cured wood". Applying wax will just make your hand greasy. As it will repel it. Stabwood has no pores like regular wood. It is soaked in resin. even if you don't see it, clear resin then. the whole point is it is much stronger and waterproof. Wax and high grits are pointless here. You want an automotive backed(brown back paper) 2000 grit to sand with water. Luke warm. Then brush off with damp Chamois. The water acts as a buffer to provide no scratches or swirls. An old school application on automobiles with candy paint like a mirror.
Dude it will be shinier than the sun. Just "coat" the paper with luke warm water preferably distilled. Wring out the Chamois hard. I do not bother because I live like a pig. Fuck, I literally live WITH pigs! like the damn Beverley Hillbillies here. If you do as I say it will shine the most possible. Never, ever use a machine buffer! You will melt the resin and fuck it up bad. Again, at your own risk. I an many others been doing this for 60 years.
Go at a medium pace and do not apply any pressure. well, very lite pressure. Max shine possible. Breathe has a spalted green one(rare wood), no colored resin. Plus one with a ton of "translucent" resin. I did not dig those and got another but you might like them. This is top of the tops. They do Stabwood better than anyone IMO. The chip is 15% to DNA250. Only because never hook to a PC for any reason while holding down fire button. Otherwise fine.
It looks as as I'm wetting and polishing like a blue color milky substance is coming off like old material and feels somehow like liquid plastic is liqufiying and coming off......I'm going and hunting the car Polish pads....

Gorgon got some 3M 2,000 grit and man it's like magic.... My finger tips hurt but worth it..... All I used was warm water and the VA is like you can't hold it.... Slips out of your hand and with zero Chemical.....Oh, manny as a Engineer I figured you would know. At least you honest bro. High grit emery paper to apply wax is for furniture. Wish I could help, but I'm not into squonking. What are you looking for and my business associate is a heavy Squonker..... He is found here under the handle " INSPECTS" ...... Let me know and I will ask him.....Those look amazing. the milky color always happens. doubt anything is coming off. I knew it was the way to go. Funny, I want these but do not really care to polish them. My Thor came with an Emery board. One side looks like 600 and the other 800. That is to low. The 2,000 works like 10,000 while wet because it "floats on water". Just do not rub hard. Wear thick cotton gloves. You still get on hands but retain dexterity. I wonder how would be "Mothers" wheel polish. I am going to say quit while you are ahead with that though. Those look 100% nicer than factory. Almost Like LSD trip. I would know nothing about that of course.
OT, Manny you can answer q? Squanker needs a certain Atty?
It is a perfect fit on a avid lyfe able, but would need about a inch cut off to fit proper. Trying to debate if it's worth the loss. The wood is a sleeve that goes over 22mm mods, right now the mod inside the sleeve is a AV buster (pos). LolNew
Very nice ! And it looks clean.... Nice conversation piece.....nice colors.....Looks customed made and custom ribbed......Ha ha
I'm looking for that Bowling Wax....Incredible. See, if they spent 30 hours hand polish mod would be say at $60 an hour $1,800 plus probably just raise the mod itself value to 2 grand. So you have a 4 grand mod about. I suggest you get "Butchers bowling alley wax". rub it in real good for 1/2 hour with chamois. It will look obscene then. Do not get any other wax. Easily get it online. About $15 enough to do 500 mods. Just very lite coat. It binds with the wood not greasy. I would do this if I could. People must think you are a billionaire if you bring that in vape shop. does not even resemble Asmodus. Put the wax and it will poke out your eye. I know about woodworking.
This one also came out good...It is a perfect fit on a avid lyfe able, but would need about a inch cut off to fit proper. Trying to debate if it's worth the loss. The wood is a sleeve that goes over 22mm mods, right now the mod inside the sleeve is a AV buster (pos). Lol

Where can I buy those grits locally?Look at my thread.... Show me your woodie...... I show steps on what and how I did it. .....
From this as you see on top of the mod to the second picture....
It's work I have spend over 40 hours on this mod..... Slowly..... And spent about 20 on The Viscious ant.
I used wet sand 3M 2000 brown back paper wet and then Micro surface 4000 then 6000 then 8000 and finally 12000.....
This is done in hours steps..... Slowly .....

I got those on Amazon, and there is no spinning involved..... All by hand straight up and down ....Where can I buy those grits locally?
I have a buffing wheel, white compound and the red. I also have mustache/beard wax lol that I could use on the wood, would that work on the wood? I was watching videos of someone rubbing the wood with was to keep the shine on and the moisture out as that dulls the wood

Thanks Gorgon..... have a lot of people wanting to use buffers and they don't understand that during sanding I'm looking for spots with resin and either sanding faster or slower depending on what details I see on the wood.Manny, I have been married over 50 years. That being said. If I ever met you I would love you to show me your wood in person! I mean your Mods of course lol. Who knows maybe one day at a vape convention. I don't get out that way much but you never know. Those are honestly the best shit I have ever seen. Like I said, no one is going to hand polish, now 60+ hours at factory. Asmodus and VA do absolutely nothing in the way of polishing. Now I am telling you keep a bit of butchers on it. You removed the top coat, natural resins of cured wood. Not the resin they put in it. So if you do not "feed" them now they might crack! Especially in hot/cold extremes. Try also to keep those close to 70F and 50%RH now.
Here Brother,
You could not find it because it is now called "BWC". Butchers Wax Company. Asked Rockler, same formula unchanged. I bet you can find lower price. 3 cans in '93 cost $28 for all three but it was '93 of course. I still have some of one can left. It never dries out. Just be careful on any silkscreened logo's which you do not have anyways. Since it contains "Terps". That is why it is so unique. Renaissance uses "VOCS" for carrier oil. Also why Butchers never dries out. I estimate a Can might do 1,000 Mods. If you want to do this as a side living I think good idea. Can't charge real time/labor. Maybe $100 per Mod? Simply no one is going to pay $500 for that service. Hey, do not go smell that stuff! You should always wear glasses and mask for any type of woodworking. Especially sanding. You stopped Analogs for concern of yourself. Sanding hurt your lungs in just 3 months possibly. Look at the reviews. This is not Walgreens stuff, Pro. Ace should have it too. Hate to see their price.
On another note OT, Evolv just screwed me. Very unlike them. I am sure they will make good on it.
What happened with Evolve ?Manny, I have been married over 50 years. That being said. If I ever met you I would love you to show me your wood in person! I mean your Mods of course lol. Dang that sounds heart breaking..... Thanks God you have patience......They look incredible. They provided a repair that was not repaired lol. It went back, taking care of it. They must of just made a mistake.
