Are you aware that there’s groundbreaking research that’s turning the tide on hormone replacement therapy myths?

This study reveals that Bioidentical transdermal hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) offers incredible health benefits, especially for women over 65.

Yes, you heard that right! This study shows how BHRT can significantly protect against cancer and improve overall health.

You may have been led to believe that women over 60 should not use hormones, or that somehow estrogen is bad for you, but this research sets the record straight once and for all.

Major Revelations from the Study:
This massive research involved 10 million Medicare women, analyzed from 2007 to 2020.

The study assessed the effects of different hormone therapies—types of estrogen/progesterone combinations, administration methods, and dosage strengths—on overall mortality, various cancers, heart diseases, and dementia.

Here are the jaw-dropping findings:

Estrogen-Only Therapy:
✅19% reduction in all-cause mortality
✅16% lower risk of breast cancer
✅13% lower risk of lung cancer
✅12% lower risk of colorectal cancer
✅5% lower incidence of congestive heart failure
✅3% lower risk of venous thromboembolism
✅4% reduction in atrial fibrillation
✅11% decrease in acute myocardial infarction
✅2% decrease in dementia risk

Estrogen and Synthetic Progestogen Combo Therapy:
❌Increased breast cancer risks (10%-19%) with synthetic progestins
❌Reduced risk with low-dose transdermal/vaginal estrogen plus progestin
❌45% lower risk of endometrial cancer
❌21% lower risk of ovarian cancer
❌Significant reductions in heart conditions

Implications for Bioidentical Transdermal Therapy

The study strongly indicates that lower doses and non-oral routes of administration, particularly bioidentical transdermal applications, are not only safer but also more effective.

The bioidentical formulation, especially estradiol (E2) rather than conjugated estrogens, was notably favorable in terms of safety and efficacy outcomes.

Over-the-Counter Painkillers Can Kill

Many people take pain relievers to manage arthritis, but they make the mistake of thinking that a pill is safe just because it’s sold over the counter.

The danger of overdosing on common medicines is all too real, especially when it comes to NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).

A large international study found that NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and diclofenac raised cardiovascular risk as much as the drug Vioxx, the painkiller that was pulled from the market a decade ago by its manufacturer because of safety concerns over heart attack and stroke.

These drugs, and others such as naproxen, are not only hard on the heart, but can cause death and serious gastrointestinal bleeding and ulcers if not taken as directed. And always talk to your doctor and do your research before taking more than one medication.

I am a soup guy. I love soup year-round. And since I moved from the Seattle area to Arizona in 2008, I have become an even bigger fan of gazpacho.

Gazpacho is a cold soup that originated in Spain. Most often it is composed of raw tomatoes and a mixture of uncooked summer vegetables or fruit along with olive oil, vinegar, and garlic and/or onions.

It is not only delicious and refreshing, having gazpacho as part of your meal is also a super fast and easy way to boost your health with a blender or VitaMix. Here is one of my favorite quick and easy gazpacho recipes.

Dr. Murray’s Fresh Watermelon-Tomato Gazpacho.

Ingredients per 4 servings
1 or 2 large tomatoes
1 green bell pepper (or serrano pepper)
2 cups fresh watermelon, cubed or balls
¼ cup organic extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons minced white onion
½ medium cucumber, seeded and minced
2 tablespoons minced fresh basil (or dill)
½ teaspoon Dr. Murray’s Ideal Salt™
¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions: To prepare the gazpacho, start with placing the tomatoes, red bell pepper, and one cup of the watermelon into the blender to puree. Then add the apple cider vinegar and olive oil and hit the pulse button for a second or two. Add the onion, cucumber, basil, and my Ideal Salt then puree until smooth and pour the mixture into bowls. To finish, parcel out the remaining watermelon and the feta into the bowls. Season with fresh ground pepper as desired.

For Women, Sleep Disturbances May Increase Depression Risk
Eight hours of shuteye every night sounds nice, but keeping a consistent sleep schedule can be easier said than done. A recent study found that significant changes in sleep schedules for women in midlife can increase the risk of depression and is most likely to occur in the years leading up to menopause as sleep disturbances increase.
What the researchers noted is that during the menopausal transition, ovarian hormones fluctuate, causing the circadian rhythm to lose stability. Drawing data from a long-term study that initially began in 1996 and included 1,579 premenopausal women, the researchers monitored the women’s sleep habits about once a year to monitor the transition through menopause.
From the participants' self-reported sleep habits, researchers found that 81.6% of the participants experienced mild changes in their sleep midpoint – which is measured as the halfway point between bedtime and wake time – and 12.1% experienced severe changes. Plus, 496 of the women developed symptoms of depression. The study concluded that women who experienced significant changes in sleep midpoint had a 57% higher chance of developing depressive symptoms compared to those with mild changes.
Heavy Resistance Training Can Improve Strength + Prevent Falls
The benefits of exercise are no secret, but heavy resistance training has especially important benefits for older adults. With age comes a decline in muscle function, increasing the risk of falls. A new study has found that resistance training, which involves weighted exercises, can help with muscle strength and lead to long-term benefits.
The trial followed 451 older adults: one group completed a year of heavy resistance training, another group completed moderate-intensity training, and a third control group did not undergo training. For the heavy resistance training group, participants used machines for weighted exercises, such as chest presses and leg curls. The moderate-intensity training group did bodyweight exercises, such as squats and pushups, as well as some activity with elastic resistance bands.
When the researchers collected data three years after the training program concluded, they found that the leg strength in the heavy resistance group remained consistent from its baseline performance while the other groups saw a decline in leg strength. It was found that heavy resistance training preserves muscle function, which can have long-lasting benefits for older adults.​

CDC’s days of illegally blocking users on X (Twitter) are numbered. ICAN is proud to announce that it is supporting a lawsuit that was filed yesterday against HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and CDC Director Mandy Cohen for unconstitutionally blocking Americans on CDC’s official X account.
ICAN’s attorneys filed the lawsuit on behalf of @TexasLindsay_ who is often critical of CDC policies on X. In retaliation, CDC’s official X account blocked her account, preventing her from viewing or commenting on any further updates posted by CDC.
Blocking citizens from an official government social media account in order to exclude or suppress their ability to express their viewpoint is a blatant violation of the First Amendment.
The complaint asks the court to order CDC to unblock and declare that CDC violated the First Amendment. This litigation is aimed to protect all Americans who have been illegally blocked by CDC. We will keep you posted as this important lawsuit progresses.​
