How To Accurately Detect Your Risk For Cancer [CHTV 367]
Dr. Dan Bel

Dear Friends,

This replay episode from 2019 is so important, I knew I needed to bring it back. Dr. Dan Beilin, who has been recognized for determining how to inexpensively and accurately screen for cancer with unique thermography technology from Germany joined me for this interview. We talked about how this test can offer a cancer diagnosis years before the conventional medicine model would ever detect it. You will also hear about Merily’s results from this amazing device. I’m grateful for this advanced, fine-tuned ability to screen for early cancer, and this form of thermography will indeed save many lives.

More about Dr. Dan Beilin
Dr. Daniel Beilin was born in Los Angeles and has practiced complementary medicine for 35 years. He has a neurophysiology, gastroenterology and herbal pharmacology background. His first scientific endeavor included his own designed laboratory research at the UCLA Brain Research Institute, studying evoked potentials in the brain at the age of 16.

Dr. Beilin has been recognized for his teaching and education on early detection of women’s cancers by dynamic thermometry analysis methods and testified before the US Congress, bringing this possibility to the forefront, as well as importing 3 complementary methods from Europe to North America (Electrodermal Devices, Darkfield Hematology and Regulation Thermography).

From his website, www.fortifyhealth.com, Dr. Beilin provides consultation services to help those who feel the causes of their symptoms are not being fully addressed by conventional methods or services. Dr. Beilin outlines strategies for patients to help overcome diseases and dysfunctions using non-toxic dietary modifications, life style changes and herbal supplementation, at the same time raising awareness for emotionally co-created disorders.

Dr. Beilin focuses on causal factors in disease, often neglected and responsible for recurrence of many disorders including cancer. Dr. Beilin plays violin, practices yoga, meditation and the martial arts.

What Is the Best Treatment for AFib?

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

According to the U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), AFib affects at least 2.7 million Americans and can lead to stroke, heart failure, and even mental impairment.

People with the condition are typically offered medicines or a surgery called ablation to correct it. Two new trials may answer which of the two treatments works best. Researchers say ablation and medicines perform similarly in protecting AFib patients from stroke, death, and other complications.

Special: Stress Impacts Your Heart — Now There's Something You Can Do About It

However, ablation may beat out drug therapy over the long term, reducing recurrences of AFib and related hospitalizations for years to come, researchers say.

Patients who got ablation, in which a catheter is used to tweak the heart muscle cells responsible for the arrhythmia, also seemed to have less shortness of breath and fatigue, and better quality of life five years later, compared to those who got drug therapy alone.

To settle the meds-versus-ablation debate, the NHLBI helped conduct two trials, which included more than 2,200 patients treated at 126 sites in the United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe.

Half the patients had ablation and half were put on drug therapy, but could have ablation if their AFib symptoms could not be controlled with medication, something known as "intent to treat."

In the end, about 27% of the patients who started on drug therapy did end up undergoing ablation. The median follow-up of patients in the trial was about four years.

While the trial did not show that ablation was superior to drug therapy in reducing deaths and strokes, it did reduce recurrence of atrial fibrillation and hospitalizations. Patients with the most severe symptoms at the start of the study had much greater improvement after ablation than those who initially had mild symptoms, the researchers added.

Hi Jimi -

It's time to share some big news: my newest project, The Lymphatic Rescue Summit - premieres April 19, 2021!

Lymphatic Rescue Summit

Have you been "into health" for a really long time? My mom and I went to a nutritionist when I was 14 and it changed the way I thought about food and my body forever.

I think about the following often: If you don't have your health, all the wealth in the world won't matter. It is a guiding light in my life and is wisdom that is in my cells.

That is why I am so honored to have you here. You are part of my mission to help as many people as I can be well. When I started my production company, Chronic Condition Rescue, I had several conditions in mind... SIBO, IBS, psoriasis, alopecia, liver and gallbladder issues... all the issues that bothered me!

For the past 5 years, I've had another project in my brain and it is now finally ready to be announced. (I have very personal reasons for this event - keep reading).

CONQUER

We all probably have an early memory of a parent or family member admonishing us to be responsible for our actions. But what about our reactions? And what does that even mean? I’m not talking physically here, our reactions to people’s comments or provocations, but our reactions to the events of our lives. And not just the happy times. No, even more important, and more telling, are our reactions to the worst events of our lives, the most challenging times we encounter.

When my surgeon said those three little words, "You have cancer", I think my reaction was pretty typical. Shock, confusion, disbelief, terror, and it's probably one of only 2 or 3 times in my life when my jaw has genuinely dropped open of its own accord. Our reactions in those first few moments to the great challenges and traumas of our life are pretty much out of our control. A wave of emotion hits, and that may take us into autopilot, into numbness, into an explosion of anger; it's unpredictable and unprecedented and understandable.

Moving into the days and weeks after diagnosis weren't much better. I vacillated between pushing it down so I could push forward and being paralyzed with the difficult decisions, the storm of unrelenting emotions, the unknowns of it all and the impossibility to know. Sometimes I was in that ridiculously weird place where you speak really loudly and laugh too much and plaster a super big smile on your face that you can't seem to get rid of but can't seem to figure out what it's doing there. That too was a place of unpredictable, unprecedented, but understandable reactions.

There is no one right way to get through cancer or any of the massive challenges of our lives. We're all just feeling for the right path, stumbling and seeking and steeling our way through it. But I have found that there is one thing that can serve in helping us get to the other side of this insane journey with more strength, more sense of self, and more determination to live the life we dream of better than anything else. And that's making the conscious decision to react to this mountain that's been dropped so unceremoniously in front of us by pulling from the climb and from the mountain itself every ounce of learning, growth, and self discovery that we can.

It's something that slowly found me, this positive side to my cancer journey. And when I first saw it, it wasn't a majestic reveal of all that was possible; it was a faint glimmer of gratitude first, and that was all. But it was just enough light to let me shed just enough dark; I felt a touch of the bitterness and the anger ebb away for a moment. And that lessened my load just enough to take on a little bit more light and a little bit less dark. And on and on and on this goes, a little more light and a little less dark, and I hope it never stops. Choosing the fork in the path that led towards the sun changed the way that I reacted to cancer, and that subsequently changed me and my life in the best possible ways. The Anishinaabe have one final ethic from their code that I think is just so beautifully applicable to the cancer journey:

"Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react."

Allowing your cancer experience to help inform who you grow to be instead of stopping your life and your growth in their tracks is the best EFF YOU you can give to cancer. By consciously choosing to react with positive forward movement into your life after the hardest parts of the storm, you are telling cancer that it. didn't. beat. you; you are reclaiming your life and arriving firmly and unapologetically into the new you. It won't be easy some days, and other days it will be downright impossible, and that's okay too. The path is never straight and results are never instant. But choosing to strike out on that path anyway is so incredibly courageous, and it will be so worth it for the days when the joy flows and the gratitude swells and you are just so damn proud of who you have become because of the way that you chose to show up and conquer that mountain.

Happy Healing ❤️

Mental Health Monday

Today, I am talking about the dreaded MORNINGS. I have never been a morning person, and it was always difficult for me to get up in the morning. But, when I was transitioning back into working again after my diagnosis, I found that this effect was very much amplified. It took me a long time to realise that this feeling of dread, of not wanting to get up and go to work, had more to do with cancer and my PTSD than just not wanting to go to work. But whatever the cause, when we start our day the second we wake up with feelings of dread and negativity and don’t do anything to reverse that, chances are the rest of our day is going to be more negative as well. This week, I’m sharing my four top tips for battling those negative feelings first thing in the morning so that you can start your day in as positive a place as possible and so that you can go on to feel more calm, centred and positive for the rest of the day.

Inspiration

Wouldn’t it be nice if they were? But results are never instant. And man, can they be hard to achieve! After my diagnosis, I knew that I needed to change things about my diet and lifestyle, but when you’re dealing with so much else that feels unfair, it can seem like adding insult to injury to be asked to give up or heavily limit treats and alcohol and to start exercising all the time and meditating and taking a million supplements and, and, and… It can feel like as hard as we are fighting cancer, we are fighting ourselves and our old habits just as hard.

I love this quote from Socrates because it reminds me to keep focused on moving forward, on where I want to be, on the positive change ahead of me, instead of fighting all the time against my old ways behind me. It also reminds me of my general philosophy that has emerged surrounding the challenges, cancer or otherwise, that we encounter in our lives. I’ve done my fair share of exclaiming my anger and grief and sadness, but if we spend all of our time railing against the unfairness of it all and wishing things could be the way they were, we risk missing out on the beauty of now and how these changes and challenges that seem so unwanted may have new positives that they are bringing into our present and our future.

Focus on building the new.

Gradual Heart Attacks May Be More Deadly
Dr. Chauncey Crandall, M.D., writes:

Heart attack patients often take longer to seek help if they have gradual symptoms, which may put them at increased risk of death, according to authors of a study published in the European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing.

Gradual symptoms begin with mild discomfort that slowly worsens, while abrupt symptoms are sudden and cause severe pain. Study author Sahereh Mirzaei, from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her team analyzed data from 474 heart attack patients seen at U.S. emergency departments.

Symptoms were gradual in 44% and abrupt in 56% of these patients. Those with gradual symptoms waited eight hours to seek medical help, compared to 2.6 hours for those with abrupt symptoms.

Special: Dr. Crandall Saved His Own Heart With This

A delay of no more than two hours is recommended for the best outcomes. Waiting longer increases patients’ risk of serious complications and death, according to the researchers.

Symptoms were triggered by exertion, such as running, climbing stairs, or shoveling snow, in 54% of men with abrupt onset and a diagnosis of ST-elevation myocardial infarction, which is a particularly serious type of heart attack requiring quick restoration of blood flow to blocked arteries.

Mirzaei said men with ischemic heart disease or multiple risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or a family history of heart disease should be aware that chest pain or discomfort after physical activity or exercise could be a heart attack.

Dr. Chauncey W. Crandall is author of Dr. Crandall’s Heart Health Report newsletter. He is a Yale graduate and is chief of the Cardiac Transplant Program at the world-renowned Palm Beach Cardiovascular Clinic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He practices interventional, vascular, and transplant cardiology.

I’m one of the presenters on this fascinating Master Class.
Everyone knows about the cardiovascular system. How the heart pumps blood and oxygen through 60 miles of arteries and veins. And most are, I’m sure familiar with the pulmonary system and how our lungs take in and processes oxygen for our survival.

But I bet you, like most, don’t know much if anything about the lymphatic system.

The lymphatic system is one of the most overlooked, yet significant systems in the body.

CALL TO ACTION
Stand For Health Freedom
There is nothing more important to effective public health policy than having accurate and verifiable data.
It appears, however, that the CDC irreparably compromised COVID-19 data quality during a time of public crisis by 1) abruptly implementing new procedures for capturing COVID-19 mortality data via a March 24, 2020 document from the CDC’s National Vital Statistics System, thereby significantly altering death certificate reporting and 2) adopting the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists’ April 15, 2020 position paper for defining what constitutes a COVID case — without implementing safeguards to ensure that single individuals would not be counted multiple times, thus altering case counts and subsequent data.
More than 15,000 hours of investigative research shows that these practices have significantly affected COVID-19 data aggregation and interpretation. Moreover, the CDC’s actions appear to be in violation of three federal laws: the Administrative Procedures Act, the Paperwork Reduction Act, and the Information Quality Act — laws that were specifically put into place to protect the welfare of the millions of Americans whose affairs are regulated by federal government agencies.
