Amazing health benefits of house plants

House plants are incredibly popular as decorative elements, but did you know they have health benefits, too? It's true! Those pretty plants add more than just a splash of color to the room. It makes sense, though, when you think about how the earth we live on is naturally full of plants. Read on to learn about the ways house plants are good for you, and you just might decide to pick up a few more for your favorite living spaces.



Cleaner Air


Just like you learned in third-grade science class, plants clean the air. Not only do they release oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide, but they also remove toxins, including volatile organic compounds, from the air. Between increasing the amount of oxygen in the room and purifying the air, your humble plants may be making it easier for you to breathe.



To boost the level of air purification, increase the number of plants. One plant for every 100 square feet is a good rule of thumb. A few common house plants that have been proven to remove VOCs are gerbera daisies, spider plants, peace lilies, and chrysanthemums.



Higher Humidity


Plants take in water through their roots and release it into the air through their leaves. This process, called transpiration, can increase the humidity level of your home. You don't usually see your plants releasing moisture into the air because it's very subtle, but it can make a difference to your indoor environment. If you live in a dry climate, try placing several plants together near your bed or workspace, and see whether you experience fewer symptoms of dry air.



Increased Concentration


Although the exact cause is not well-understood, several research studies have shown that students concentrate better and retain more information when their learning spaces include plants. When choosing house plants for your learning or working space, consider how much natural light enters the area as well as how often someone will be around to water and care for the plants.



Lower Blood Pressure


You likely already know that eating more plants may help improve cardiovascular health, but did you know that simply adding them to your environment may also help lower blood pressure? Studies have shown that hospital patients tend to have lower blood pressure when their rooms are filled with plants. They also tend to heal faster from surgery and trauma. Even if you aren't unwell, adding house plants to your living space may help you relax and feel better overall.



A Sense of Accomplishment


There's something about caring for plants that gives some people an immense feeling of purpose and accomplishment. For some, tending to house plants can also provide a sense of companionship, especially if they live alone and don't have any pets. No matter how seriously you take your indoor gardening hobby, being responsible for a living thing and seeing it thrive and grow under your care can be a powerful experience.



If you're new to keeping house plants, start small. Choose plants that are hard to kill. As you get the hang of it, you can add more exotic house plants, one at a time. When you find a plant you really like, research how to propagate it. Then, you can either give away starts or use them to green up more rooms in your home or office.

That's just crazy, what kind of Hitler world is this becoming :facepalm:, almost everyone gone mad over there in OZ. It would be a tough decision to make, jab or lose your job, especially the Moderna, there are some countries that have banned the Moderna over safety concerns, but I think I would rather become a bum than to destroy my health with their experimental poison. What Are The Main Causes of Breast Cancer?​

The key to breast cancer prevention is being aware of the various factors that cause the disease and avoiding them as much as possible, while at the same time being aware of what discourages cancerous growth in breast tissue.

Only 5% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is allocated towards research on prevention. Health experts rarely discuss avoidable and known cancer-causing agents like excess estrogen, radiation, and chemical pollutants.
There should be as much focus on preventing cancer as there is treating it.

So what causes breast cancer? ⠀

From my clinical experience, it’s rarely just one cause. From one cancer cell to a tumor takes about ten years. Imagine a young woman named Sarah. Sarah had mild scoliosis when she was younger so she received more x-rays than normal. She also grew up eating ultra-processed foods. Then one day while walking to her car, she fell and landed on her breast. Several years later during perimenopause, her doctor gave her hormonal therapy in the form of estrogen pills. During all that time, she was also working a very stressful job. I often hear some form of this story with new breast cancer patients. ⠀

• Estrogen dominance is likely the most important factor when it comes to breast cancer. This is because estrogen can feed cancer and cause it to grow. At the clinic, we can check your level of estrogens. Knowledge is power.

• Ionizing radiation - Radiation exposure is cumulative. Each dose increases the risk of breast cancer. Radiation has "estrogenic" effects.

• Excess iron - Excess iron in the body works as a powerful oxidant, increasing free radicals thereby raising a woman's risk. Ferritin (a measure of iron storage) stimulates breast cancer cells through an iron-independent mechanism and is localized within tumor-associated macrophages. ⠀

• Chronic Stress - Stress hormones can inhibit a process called anoikis, which kills diseased cells and prevents them from spreading. ⠀

• Insufficient Iodine - Iodine is required in breasts, ovaries, and the prostate. It balances estrogen and has a strong anti-breast cancer effect. ⠀

• Low vitamin D - Studies show breast cancer rates tend to be lowest in regions of high solar radiation and highest in areas with low solar radiation. This effect is probably due to vitamin D status in childhood and early adolescence. ⠀

It's important to consider the environment of the patient.

Most of my life I've taken the road less traveled.

I'm an only child and I never really fit in as a kid...

I questioned everything. And I was often inclined to do the opposite of what everyone else was doing... not because I wanted to be different. I just was different.

When faced with cancer, I went against conventional advice and instead, relied on my instincts, intuition and faith to guide me on the path to healing.

I prayed a lot. I prayed for wisdom and guidance. I prayed for strength. I prayed for my wife and family, and I prayed for peace, and for healing...

I was desperate, and I reached out and asked for help. And I got it.

I stepped out in faith, into the unknown, alone... And miracles happened. People and information came into my life at exactly the right time. I knew it wasn't coincidence.

Yes, I took Massive Action to change my life...

But it was clear to me that God was guiding me and answering my prayers.

The 5 Worst Things To Eat (or Drink) Before Bed



Eating before bed isn’t always a bad thing. Some herbs (chamomile, valerian) and fruits (kiwi, bananas) actually help you fall asleep. If you want to enjoy long and refreshing slumber, though, there are certain foods you should definitely avoid before bedtime.


Ice Cream

Does your family have a habit of serving up a big bowl of ice cream late at night? While spending time as a family is great, eating ice cream right before bedtime isn’t. Ice cream has tons of sugar, which fuels your cells with energy. That’s the last thing you want when you’re trying to unwind in preparation for bed.

You may also notice an unpleasant side effect the next day: sugar cravings. Eating junk food the night before can increase your hunger in the morning, and it makes you specifically hungry for high-fat, high-sugar foods.


Burgers

After leaving a late-night movie showing with friends, your first impulse may be to swing through a drive-thru for some burgers and French fries. Unfortunately, fast-food burgers and other greasy offers are packed with saturated fat.

This type of food takes your stomach forever to digest. High amounts of fat also mess with your digestive hormones, basically telling your body that it’s time to work, not sleep. You end up tossing and turning all night long.


Caffeinated Drinks

There’s nothing bad about drinking coffee or cola as long as it’s a few hours before bed, right? Wrong. Caffeine blocks your body’s sleep hormone completely, and that’s not the worst of it. It takes your body approximately six hours to clear out most of the caffeine from your system.

A single can of cola too close to bedtime can cause insomnia and restlessness all night long! Some people are so sensitive to it that drinking any coffee after noon is a mistake.


Tacos

Another nighttime favorite with partygoers, Mexican food can do a triple whammy on your sleep quality: heartburn, indigestion and hot flashes. Researchers believe that spicy peppers increase your body’s core temperature, so you may feel too hot to sleep. Avoid spicy foods at least two hours before bed. This includes nachos, potato chips and hot wings.


Pizza

Time for a redouble. The #1 worst food for eating before bedtime also happens to be America’s #1 favorite food: pizza. Indulging in a big pizza pie when the moon is up high is practically guaranteed to trigger insomnia for several reasons:

  • Tomato sauce: Tomatoes are one of the worst foods for causing acid reflux.
  • Meats and cheeses: The cheap ingredients of most pizzas are packed with fat and grease.
  • Carbs: Most people don’t just eat one slice. Pizza has a tendency to make you feel really full.
