Hi Jimi,

Nobody likes getting older. One of the biggest reasons why is because our muscles become weaker, making the activities we used to enjoy more difficult to do...and less enjoyable.

But what if you didn't have to get weaker as you got older? What if you could actually become stronger?

Celebrity fitness trainer Tony Horton says he's found a way to turn the impossible into a reality - his reality, which he is now using to help thousands of Americans remain healthy and active as they hit middle age and beyond.

"It's actually a lot simpler than you might think," Horton, who is 62, told us. "It's a method anyone can do that takes about one or two minutes a day. And within a very short period of time, you're going to feel stronger, and probably healthier, than you have in years."

Almost everyone begins experiencing some degree of age-related muscle loss starting between ages 40-50 (the scientific term for this phenomenon is sarcopenia).

It's perfectly natural and nothing to worry about; however, it can make it harder to exercise or even perform routine activities you take for granted - like playing with kids or pets, or carrying groceries.

On average, people lose about 0.5%-1% of muscle mass each year. While that may sound minor, it can add up over years and decades. Increased frailty is a big reason why elderly people are more prone to falling down, which can lead to prolonged bed rest or hospital stays, which can mean even more muscle loss, in what becomes a vicious downward spiral.

Health experts have long believed age-related muscle loss is simply an inevitable aspect of getting older, with the only way to slow it down being to increase dietary protein and do more exercise.

But Tony Horton says he's found a much more effective way to fight age-related muscle loss - and even build new muscle - that has nothing to do with exercise.

"This came as quite a shock to me, because I'm the biggest workout guy on the planet," said the man who has trained Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, to name a few of his celebrity clients.

"But the results are undeniable. Using my method, it is now possible to, at the very least, slow down age-related muscle loss. Best case scenario, you actually have a chance to get into the best shape of your life.

"And it couldn't be easier to do!" he laughs.

In fact, the results have been so remarkable, Horton is now the subject of a short documentary detailing exactly how his body-strengthening method works. It is online and free for the public to view and share.

The video has since gone viral, first being shared by users on Facebook, then being featured on news sites like ABC and CBS.

So far, the comments and feedback have been outstanding, with thousands of Americans claiming they feel stronger than they have in years.

"I never would have believed I could feel like I did 10 or 20 years ago if I didn't actually try Tony's method," one viewer wrote.

"I'm swimming again and my body feels GOOD!" raved another. "This really WORKS!!"

7 bitter and digestive herbs for you to know​


Gentian (Gentiana Lutea): This is a classical bitter herb used in many digestive bitters. Gentian creates significant “digestive fire.” The flavor is initially sweet and warm, followed by an intense bitter that lingers, leaving behind a balanced moisture.


Benefits include: anti-inflammatory, increases bile flow, liver decongestant, stimulates GI secretions (promotes digestion, promotes peristalsis, and relieves constipation).


Schisandra (Schisandra Chinensis): I’m personally drawn to this Siberian, resilient berry and take it often. Its complex flavor comes from a unique combination of sour, sweet, salty, warm pungent, and slight bitterness. While there is a dominant sour flavor, it’s followed by deeper almost-umami-like aromatics with a slight acidity. Next, a warming quality arises, ending in subtle sweetness as the sourness fades. It’s a mighty adaptogen that restores the adrenal cortex, generates strength, and improves fatigue.


Benefits include: helps with sleep, protects the liver from toxins, increases bile flow, antibacterial, anti-ulcer, immunomodulator, antioxidant, and supports liver detoxification.


Angelica (Angelica Archangelica): This is a hot pungent, mildly to moderately bitter herb with a slight celery saltiness. The complex smoky aroma is followed by a distinct bitter aftertaste.


Benefits include: helps with dyspepsia (heartburn), flatulence, nocturia (overnight urination), arthritis, stroke, dementia, circulation problems, “runny nose,” nervousness and anxiety, and trouble sleeping (insomnia). It also has strong expectorant properties (loosens up mucus and expels it).


Ginger (Zingiber Officinale): Ginger is warming, pungent, and moist. A big digestive stimulant, ginger is also a relaxant of the GI and nervous system.


Its many benefits include: anti-inflammatory, aromatic, stomachic (salivary and gastric secretagogue effect), GI tonic, antiemetic (acts on the parasympathetic nervous system), analgesic (pain reliever by inhibiting biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes), relieves flatulence, increases bile flow, cholesterol reducing, antispasmodic, antimicrobial, and antifungal.


Burdock (Arctium Lappa): Burdock is a cool and dry herb. Benefits include: diffusive (bringing blood circulation to the skin), promotes detoxification, soothes muscle aches, reduces infections, calms allergies, decreases inflammation, stimulates the immune system. Burdock may also help incontinence, help ease irregular, painful periods and help promote bile flow.


Anise (Pimpinella Anisum): This warm and pungent herb has a characteristic licorice-like note, with a slight bitterness. Anise is an excellent carminative (relieves flatulence), expectorant (loosens up mucus and expels it), and circulatory relaxant (relaxes the chest).


Andrographis (Andrographis Paniculata): In Ayurveda, Andrographis is known as the “King of Bitters.” It is a dirty bitter and almost ash-like. This herb stimulates appetite, digestion, and bile flow; clears liver decongestion, calms GI nerves; and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. Andrographis also helps restore liver health and is antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory, with a special affinity for the GI tract.

Chili Peppers Reduce Cardiac Risks

Ever since William Cowper coined the phrase in his 1785 poem “The Task,” people have been declaring that variety is the spice of life. But in 2019, science may have changed the saying by proving that spice itself is the heart of life.

Italian researchers have found that eating chili peppers four or more times weekly reduces your risk of dying from a heart attack by 40%, and from stroke by more than 50%. And the researchers say peppers convey those benefits regardless of whether you have any cardiovascular risk factors or eat a healthy Mediterranean diet.

That follows a 2017 study published in the journal PLOS that found Americans who eat chili peppers (not counting dried pepper flakes) reduced their risk of death over a 19-year timespan by 13%.

What makes chili peppers so health-friendly when they can be so hot, they seem heart-stopping?

The benefits appear to be the result of the tongue-searing chemical capsaicin, which helps moderate insulin response after eating and lowers resting heart rate, as well as phytonutrients that help process fats, dilate blood vessels, and knock out bacteria.

So, enjoy whole wheat pasta arrabbiata or diavolo using pepperoncini (like spicy Calabrian peppers that register 15,000 to 30,000 on the Scoville scale).

And don't shy away from Asian peppers, found in dishes like Sichuan Dan Dan noodles or spicy vegetarian eggplant.

The relationship between stress and cancer is commonly debated, and studies confirm that the relationship may be significant. One study concluded, "Results showed that breast cancer patients had significant elevations in basal cortisol levels compared to controls. Metastatic breast cancer patients had higher cortisol levels than early-stage breast cancer patients."

What mechanisms might be at play?

Another study notes, "Our findings indicate, for the first time that increased cortisol levels facilitate breast-to-brain metastasis through the BCSFB-a vulnerable point of entry which has been typically overlooked in brain metastasis. Our study suggests cortisol plays a pro-metastatic role in breast-to-brain metastasis and thus caution is needed when using glucocorticoids to treat breast cancer patients." The implications of these findings are amazing! More research should be done on administering cortisol blockers to avoid breast-to-brain metastasis.

Well I've got one for ya!
Bill Buvens was diagnosed with stage IV colon and liver cancer in 2001. After refusing conventional treatment, Bill radically changed his diet and lifestyle in order to help heal his cancer. He started off by juicing for 90 days, then followed a raw food plant-based diet. Six months later the cancer was gone. He was completely healed.
Today, 21 years later, Bill is alive and thriving!

Nutrition labels can be sneaky, Jimi.

If you’re thinking about doing our guided, 7-day Sugar Detox, you might be wondering what’s allowed and what’s not.

Sugar is hiding in many of the foods we eat each day, and if we’re not careful we’ll eat it without even realizing it.

So, how do we read nutrition labels and ingredient lists, anyway?

✅ Step 1: Start with the nutrition facts.
  • Check the label and find where it says “Total Sugars”
  • If the total sugar is 0, the food item is sugar-detox friendly!
  • If the added sugar is anything but 0, then it’s not allowed in the sugar detox.
  • If the total sugar is 0 to 5 grams with no added sugar, move on to step #2.

✅ Step 2: Added Sugar v. Natural Sugar
  • If the food has 0 to 5 grams of total sugar, but 0 grams of added sugar, it might be sugar detox friendly, because it means the sugar is coming from natural or plant-based sources. (Yay!)
  • A few grams of natural sugar is sugar detox approved, but see steps #3 and #4 for more info!

✅ Step 3: Read the ingredient list.
  • If the food has a few grams of total sugar (and 0 added sugars) and it seems like a healthy one, just make sure to double-check the ingredient list to figure out where that sugar is coming from.
  • Be sure to avoid foods with…
    • Agave, blackstrap molasses, brown rice syrup, coconut sugar, corn syrup, date sugar, dextrose, erythritol, evaporated cane juice, fruit juice concentrate, cane syrup, high fructose corn syrup, honey, maltodextrin, maple syrup, monk fruit, palm sugar, stevia, sorbitol, and xylitol.
  • Whew! That’s a long list. Be careful… sugars and sweeteners are super stealthy, so definitely check out that ingredient list before you start snacking!

✅ Step 4: Serving sizes, only!
  • Remember that sticking to the serving size can make all the difference. One teaspoon of hot sauce could turn into two tablespoons pretty easily… and that could mean the difference between one and six grams of sugar!
  • Snack foods like chips, crackers, cereals, juices, coffee creamers, and other condiments are easy to over-consume. Check the serving size and try to stick to it!
  • It could be helpful to measure some of your favorite foods so that you become familiar with the size of one serving.

✅ Step 5: What if there’s no label?
    • If it’s fresh fruit or veggie and there's no label, skip steps 1-4! It is sugar detox approved. 👏
    • Just be sure to limit fruit to 2-3 servings each day and spread out your intake.
  • Eating more fresh foods that are NOT pre-packaged is always the healthier choice.

If some sugar sneaks in, don’t worry. The goal of the sugar detox is to increase awareness and understanding about what’s in our food, not to punish ourselves.

Our hope is that you’ll feel much better after the detox, and you’ll be able to use your newfound awareness to make better, more empowered food choices.
