Trump Taps Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Co-author of “Great Barrington Declaration,” to Lead NIH

President-elect Donald J. Trump late Tuesday nominated Jay Bhattacharya, M.D., Ph.D., professor of health policy at Stanford’s School of Medicine, to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The NIH — the “nation’s medical research agency” — oversees 27 separate institutes and centers and controls a budget of nearly $48 billion. It is a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

>> RFK, Jr will be working with Dr. B - Learn More Here <<

Interestingly, the very senators tasked with voting on RFK Jr.’s nomination for HHS Secretary are, in many cases, knee-deep in Big Pharma’s pockets. These aren’t just casual campaign donations—they're lavish contributions, often disguised as "support" for public health initiatives.

According to The Federalist’s analysis, Big Pharma contributed more than $6.7 million between 2019 and 2024 to members of the Senate Finance Committee. When you're swimming in millions of dollars from an industry that thrives on perpetual illness, it’s hard to imagine unbiased voting from Senators who have “sold out” to Big Pharma.

Fitness vs Weight: Which Matters More for Longevity?

Want to lower your risk of heart disease and early death? It turns out that getting fit may matter more than your weight. A recent study found that being physically fit can reduce your risk of dying, even if you're overweight or obese. In fact, fit people—regardless of their size—had similar mortality risks to those who were a healthy weight and fit. On the other hand, being unfit, no matter your weight, can increase your risk of death by two to three times. The bottom line? Fitness is the true game-changer when it comes to staying healthy and living longer. (More)

8 Best Drinks for Young-Looking Skin

Want to keep your skin looking as youthful as it should? The secret isn't about trying to look decades younger, but about nourishing your skin to its fullest potential. While factors like sun exposure, poor diet, and lack of exercise can age our skin faster than we'd like, the good news is that your skin is highly responsive to positive changes. One of the easiest and most effective ways to boost your skin’s appearance is through what you drink. Hydration is key, and the best skin-loving drinks start with water as their foundation. Then, add these ingredients and you’ll have healthier, more radiant skin before you know it. (More)

Why Waking Up Naturally Feels Better

Why does it feel better to wake up naturally without an alarm clock? It’s because when you wake up naturally, you’re closer to the end of your natural sleep cycle. Sleep cycles consist of non-REM and REM stages, with REM being lighter sleep where most dreaming occurs. Throughout the night these cycles repeat, and as the night progresses REM sleep increases. When you wake up naturally, it tends to happen near the end of your sleep cycle. However, your alarm clock disrupts this process by waking you up during deeper sleep, which can feel jarring. Interestingly, you can train yourself to wake up without an alarm at a certain time. (More)

When we think about heart health, what usually comes to mind?
Diet, exercise, maybe cholesterol levels.
But there’s another key piece to the puzzle that often gets overlooked: circulation.
Good circulation isn’t just about avoiding cold hands and feet—it plays a critical role in your overall health, especially your heart, lungs, and cardiovascular system. When your blood flows better, every part of you gets more of the vital nutrients and oxygen it needs to function at its best.
If you’re curious about how to naturally enhance your circulation and give your heart health a serious boost, we’ve got something special for you.
My friend, health researcher Trevor King, is hosting a free webinar that will cover everything from basic tips to advanced therapies that can improve blood flow and, as a result, dramatically improve your cardiovascular health.

Sleep Disorders Endanger Your Heart, Brain, Weight

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

Usually, cardiologists focus on the major risks for developing cardiovascular disease, including factors such as high cholesterol, obesity, and high blood pressure. But too often, a part of daily life is overlooked completely: sleep.

Studies have shown that lack of sleep raises the risk for heart disease, as well as other ailments, yet most people are not aware of that fact. Sleep is actually a dynamic process involving changes in brain wave activity, breathing, heart rate, body temperature, and other physiological functions, which enables your body to perform many processes required for optimal functioning.

Special: Tired of Tossing and Turning? Here’s the Secret to Deep, Restful Sleep...

In fact, research now shows that lack of sleep can be a killer. An estimated 50-70 million Americans have some kind of a sleep disorder that leaves them insufficiently rested — a situation that has led the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to proclaim the U.S. is in the midst of a sleep deprivation epidemic.

According to the CDC, sleep deprivation is a key factor in traffic and industrial accidents, in addition to being a major cause of high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and obesity, all of which increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Sleep deprivation also affects the way the brain functions. One study found that older men who experienced fragmented or poor sleep were 50% more likely to suffer a decline in their thinking skills. Other studies have linked sleep deprivation to the inability to form new memories or learn new information.

Lack of sleep can also make you fat. Our bodies manufacture two hormones related to weight and sleep — ghrelin, which increases appetite, and leptin, which reduces it. Ideally, these two hormones should be in balance.

When you are deprived of sleep, your body boosts its production of ghrelin and decreases leptin. Studies show that this imbalance instigates snacking, usually on high-fat foods, leading to a vicious cycle of overeating.

The Long-Term Effects Of Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is a widely recognized medical treatment primarily used for cancer patients.
Its role in cancer care is to use potent chemicals to kill or slow down the growth of malignant cells. While it’s a life-saving measure, the conversation often centers around its immediate side effects, such as hair loss, nausea, and fatigue.
