Adding insult to injury, I just ordered the Dotbox DNA300 to at least have a complete Dotmod set. The authentic does give a very nice, flavorful vape.... but then again, from what you're saying, so does the clone. It's kind of like comparing a cuban monte cristo to nicaraguan monte cristo. There are possibly subtle differences, but overall, the effect is the same with a substantial difference in price.
Edit: the Botboxes have a proprietary chip, they do not use a DNA chip in the 300 watt mods.

that mod is awesome! i keep wanting to splurge on it, but to many other things i want and to much going on. I may spring for a dotmod mech for one of my petri rdas.

my issue with the tank, isn't the cape at all. the vape is brilliant! I really enjoy using it; my main issue is unscrewing the 510. Its a silly thing to be bothered about, but its enough for me to stick with drippers. lol

I have a really hard time waiting, I like to try tanks but the pile of "never -to-be-used-again " or at least used when I have nothing better to do with my time tanks is much bigger than the tanks I really like and have at least 3 or 4 of them. I like the Petri rta but the "admissions " price is a bit on the steep side and I haven't seen anything about the sxk clone, I mean from real people around here, not the "reviewers". I'm tempted to get one from FT but they don't have the Siren, not yet and 3F wants $43 for the Siren.

Just get an iSub-V probably 1 of my favorite flavor chasers the 0.5 ohm coils are rated between 20-35 watts.And yes the tanks AFC lets you get both a nice tight MTL as well as a big whoosy DLI.
For about $23 you can pick up a tank & 5 pack of coils at My Freedom Smokes.

You mean...Montecristo Cigars I think.Oh and the non-cuban 1's are from the Dominican Republic not Nicaragua.The only Montecristo that I know of that has any Nicaraguan leaf is the Platinum's.Which are quite good but also quite expensive.
For my tastes I've always preferred Gurkha/Rocky Patel/ Gran Habano.
Yes I still smoke an occasional cigar usually on my birthday.

It doesn't have the really fancy scrollwork one the side, just the regular Dotmod emblem. I never even held one in my hand so it was a real impulse buy 'cause it were purdy ! If I remember correctly, it has the 1300 mAh LiPo in it.

I wouldn't bother. I would just ask your contact with dotmod the origin of the board.

how is it to operate? is there a firing delay at all?

It seems pretty easy to operate - no delay.
@BrewBear I can't seem to find any custom modes for it.

It has TEMP COMP from 1-95

The higher ohm 1's last longer.I had issues trying to get mine back together a while back after changing the coil out.I lost 1 of the grommets for the tank and the wife had already tossed the box not knowing there were extras in it...Sheesh Louise sometimes I just can't catch a break.
