Managed to get a walk in between the rain today. Bit cold too just 11c top here today.
Went to a nearby creek where you can have a decent walk along it.
Saw a few Kookaburras and tried for a good picture but they were too quick. Just managed to snap one on the fly so not a great pic. Just make it out in the centre.

Nice place though for a relaxing stroll.

Nice out today but we sure are getting invaded now by those from down south out of lockdown. Usually lucky before lockdown and covid to see anyone in the bush I go to. Last 2 days I saw over a dozen vehicles scattered throughout the are fossicking and camping.
Found a spot away from the invaders though. :giggle:

Several days ago, I was outside doing some yard work. However, the atmosphere felt different and not a good different. It felt like I was being watched.
As some of you know I have trail cams. . When I finished up on the yard work, I took the SD card out of one of the cams, went inside, and looked at the pics.
Pay attention to the time stamp and how it looks like it went from summer to kinda of a winter look. The pics look fuzzy or foggy, but it wasn't foggy.
I don't know what you will think, but I think, the cam captured a pic of a ghost.
Three pics...
First was before and the third one after it disappeared

Please, if you can't see what I'm talking about, let me know. I'll edit the pic and circle where it is at.

Out today and yesterday.
Below a little Pardalote bird burrow. They nest in the ground and its often mistaken for a small rodent or lizard hole. They're about the size of a small mouse. Tried to get it with the bird but it was too fast each time.
NEST.jpg
A Chough bird nest with the mother or father and you can just see the two chicks heads poking up with mouths open. I got them to poke their heads up by mimicking the call of an adult one. Each time I did it they went right off expecting food. :giggle:
The adults are around the size of a crow. The nest are made of mud. We have 2 I found on the ground yrs ago and the misses had plants in them. One is about 11 yrs old and still holding together.
BIRDS.jpg
Next Cherry Ballarts. Its a native tree with tiny but sweet edible fruit. You'd never get a big feed of them as they dont have a great deal on them but they taste nice. I ate a few when I saw it.

Some bush wildflowers.

Few photos at windy Torrey Pines golf course today...

We stopped here after delivering some life bags and meals.

That and my favorite coffee joint (Bird Rock Roasters) is just down the hill.
