I still need a faster drill....I was thinking of trying out a Dremel at a lower speed but I was wondering if it would even work, they arent the pinnacle of high torque motors :D

Even the slower speeds on a dremel will be to fast for wrapping claptons. And you wont have a slower speed for starting the wrap.

Every time I see your pics I feel like breaking your damn hands...I really wish my hands didnt have the issues they have or I think I could do much better...:(
Oh well, I may try doing something with that Clapton Ribbon Outer wrap...thats a great piece that could be added to a few builds I have had in mind to try out....Something along the lines of a Staggered Framed Staple and every other space have that wrap over the center....could be nice looking...
Thank you...I think?
In all seriousness though, it sucks to deal with an injury that hinders your performance of something you love to do. I broke my leg playing rugby really badly and can't run for more than about 5 minutes now without horrible pain, so it's awesome that you are still at it playing with wire.

There are no low settings on a Dremel really, so it's basically like max speed on your drill from go. Assuming that's ok, I don't think the torque will be an issue, we don't have that much going on. I imagine whatever would cause issues on the dremel is going to lead to snapping off the higher guage wire anyways.

I know, I own a few Dremels...even the oscillating one...I could rig a gear ration setup though and create more torque while reducing speed enough to where I want it...

Figured you would, but that's what scared me off. Not the max speed but the quick acceleration jerking it quickly. I already catch that issue with my drill. Once it's going though yeah speed would be nice.

im loving this one! Picked it up at the pawn shop for $25 and it was in virtually new condition. Not sure what the retail is on it but its fast enough and the trigger has great response from a creep start to a wonderful incremental speed increase

my thought starts with an old sewing machine.

using a small engine lathe with adjustable feed would be the cat's ass. i often wonder if some of the porn stars use a lathe.

ohh man, if I had a garage I could work in I'd so get a quality pedal lathe, that'd be so awesome.

2 hands to work the wire, or... to vape and clapton at the same time!
Three thumbs up

Decided to toss my hat in the Goon buildoff happening on instagram. Wanted to take advantage of the peculiar deck on the TM Squared.
Specs:
~28/36/38g Staggered Fused Clapton wrapped around a triangular bit, then twisted into a Knuckle coil. Mounted in the two center holes.
~28/38g Alien wrapped around a safety pin and threaded through the first coil and mounted in the two outer holes in the posts. ~Single coil clocks in at .18Ω

Since it came up the other day, here are some 26/46 fc's. This is as clear of a picture as my phone would take but still you can barely tell its wrapped. Oh, and of course the wire snapped on me so i ended up with dual 5 wraps on a 2.4mm driver

So I thought I'd give a quick down and dirty review/thoughts on the Petri V2...

First off this is my first Petri. Second, this is my second RDA with a two post design, with which I've come to really enjoy building on.

So building on this atty --- it's definitely roomy... I have FCs in there, 8 wraps of (2)26G ... Doesn't even reach the center of the post holes...

The screws idk I haven't figured them out yet... The RDA comes with an Allen wrench but I think (anyone, input here plz) you need to use a Phillips head screwdriver instead... Idk. They really snug down well, and offer the knucks in them which makes tightening and loosening them very easy even with toothless pliers..

Moving from the Velocity only having one post hole per post VS two is different but all in all doesn't change anything as far as coil heat up or install goes really.

Now -- the top cap.

When I got my build all situated, wicked her up and fired it up for the first time it was whistling at me, I thought, "the hell?"

Yeah, it still does for me. I am going to put a fresh build in tonight. But with the same build it still whistles a little bit right when you draw on it due to the air holes being rather small, and only one per side. I think I'd like to look at the cloud cap as i believe it offers more airflow.. The drip tips -- I have an authentic black one, and an authentic deep blue one as well as 5 1:1 clones from FT and they are all just so PLEASANT to vape on. They don't warm up AT all. They are just amazing on their own, really tip my hat to them for that one.

Now the biggest thing -- how does this thing perform???

Well, I forget who but someone warned it would be a warmer vape than normal. For me, right now I'm pushing 100 watts to a ohm reading of .36 --- 6 volts. And it's not much warmer at all.

Flavor? This thing is a flavor killer. Man it really does the job as far as flavor chasing goes this is my absolute hands down number 1. Granted I don't have as many devices as Ray, this one takes the cake over all my others.

Produces clouds as one would expect. Cloudy.

I think overall I'm very happy with this atty. Would I pay the $90 again for it, knowing what all the hype is about with these DotMod Petri's? It took some time to come to the conclusion, but my answer is yes. Yes I would. Hands down.

I really think with the cloud cap in the mix this RDA will do anything you want it to with ease, and the craftsmanship is second to none. Very high quality all around. Nothing about it is cheap, feels or looks cheap. Nothing about it is flawed. Produces flavor like a mofo. I do love this thing. Very happy to have made this purchase, and will have to look at getting the cloud cap at some point.

Overall I guess 9.5/10. That .5 because I don't wanna have to pay for a cloud cap, and think the whistling would be non existent with it. The air flow holes just seem a tad too restrictive.

noob signing in. just got a drill, a little hammer and anvil, some swivels and a bit of wire. decided to start light with a boneyard coil. i think i twisted it too much, my 'bones' are not as bony looking as the ones i have seen in pics. im happy though. dual 6 wraps of 24 gauge kanthal on 3.5mm came in at .19 ohms.

So can anyone help me out on this one...

And bear with me I've been drinking...

What do those who own a Petri use to tighten the screws?

And also

How the hell do you guys fill your unicorn bottles up? I got my OHW juice and can't fill up my unicorn bottles to save my life..

I dont own a Petri V2 but I know many use a Phillips head to get it on the coil then a pair of pliers to crank it down.
I use a larger bottle that can squeeze to fill the Uni's up, like the VVV 240ml bottles.

It's got that twist nozzle, right?

Squeeze the empty unicorn bottle with the nozzle of the big bottle fully pressed into the mouth of it. By pushing air out of that bottle you are simultaneously creating a low pressure environment in the empty one and a high-pressure environment in the full one. That pressure now wants to equalize. The air rises to the top of the big bottle.

Just gently let off on the bottle you're filling while giving the bottle you're transferring from a little squeeze and watch the laws of physics work their magic. The first one should be enough to fill it maybe a little less halfway and takes seconds to do.

It'll change your life... ...though not as much as changing the way you poop would.

One thing I haven't worked out is transferring from 120ml dropper bottles. WHO IS THAT FOR?! Why are giant dropper bottles a thing?

Also another trick is holding the bottle slightly above the unicorn bottle. Prevents the seal that pulls it in. I find sometimes buildup happens which cuts it off itself and then that buildup overflows the bottle. Just an alternative.

I've only had that problem when I didn't squeeze the air out of the unicorn bottle. With enough back-pressure/suction, it doesn't ever seal and gush. You just need to have more pull than push in the juice flow. As long as the juice is getting pulled in, it can't get pushed out the wrong way, you feel?

I remember when I first started transferring juice into different bottles... ...I got so fed up with that gushing problem that I would pour it all in a shot glass, take it up with a blunt-tip syringe, and 'inject' it into the unicorn bottle. I still do that for dropper bottles. <_<

Did I mention how much I hate dropper bottles? Does anybody like dropper bottles? I'm talking about the ones with the glass pipettes in the lids.

LOL, sorry I didn't completely understand your method I'll give that a try, keeping it above and squeezing down t he center has been my trick but it's a pita, your method souds... sound... :D

I'm not sure who enjoys carrying around 120 ml glass drippers robot...

Not sure at all. I hate even the 30 mLs. They leak and never seal right and ugh I just hate them. Always getting juice in my pockets.

Bum ass drippers. I like squeeze bottles. And now that I can fill unicorns... Unicorns too.

Always liked glass for that classy feel, but yeah squeeze bottles are just simply FAR easier to manage. I hate those eyedroppers or syringes.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I used to use the glass bottles for a long while.

But since I've been getting squeezers life has been much simpler. From tanks to RDAs they aren't a pita like droppers.

I don't have to fight getting the cap off while holding my mod and my top cap... Don't have to worry about leaking or messy bottles. Yeah they are just much simpler when they squeeze. I do find squeeze bottles to squeeze too much at a time but I think these unicorn bottles fix that.

I got to get more 28g. I didn't think I'd be using it much anymore until I started building for my cricket.

@raymo2u , was it you that recently purchased the Lucifer mod? I believe it was... If so, how are you liking it? I was going to purchase another noisy cricket earlier today but then I figured I'd get the Lucifer (this was the series mod I was initially going to get before I got the cricket....). Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Give it a shot dude! It's crazy easy and it works every time. I figured out by accident. It was one of those legit "Woooooah!" moments.
Holy shit @robot zombie you are a life saver lololol I was ready to throw them out. SO EAZY.
Right? Blew my mind when I discovered it.

They leak and never seal right and ugh I just hate them. Always getting juice in my pockets.
THANK you. There's nothing worse than pulling a juice covered bottle out of your pocket. By the time I notice, I've already touched my mod and painted it. And that's not to mention how nerve-wracking they make dripping on the go.

Always liked glass for that classy feel
The glass bottles do look really nice. I actually collect them like fancy liquor bottles. And then there's the whole illusion of quality thing... ...the presentation. Juice in glass bottles has the impression of being handcrafted and artisanal. The glass bottle makes you think it's top-shelf, limited run juice that's made with love and care. While squeeze bottles tend to strike me more as being something that either comes out of a vat or gets churned-up in mass quantities up by some dude in his basement.

I will say... what's the difference between a squeeze bottle and a unicorn bottle? I thought unicorns were sqeeze bottles??? Am I missing something?
I think he's referring to the short and stubby plastic bottles.

I think companies that use squeeze bottles have the actual consumer in mind as far as ease of use. I wont buy "premium" juice specifically because its in a dropper bottle now
