So I tried to make a set of tiny aliens, but I kept getting skips in the wire. But, I ended up with a couple of short usable pieces and decided to go retro and put a build in the Subtank Mini. It's surprising just how well this thing vapes. You'll see in the pics where I now bear the official "Mark Of The Clapton" from thinking the coil was cool enough to move with my thumb. It wasn't. Also, while taking the close up pics, I noticed what looks like the Facebook "F" on the side of only one of the posts on the Subtank. Any idea what it means?

3x32KA1/42N80, 1.5mm ID, 8/9 wraps, 1.2Ω
22 watts of pure power! :D

Good thing it was a small coil...Ive had branding that looks like QR Codes pressed into the sides of my hands...Fuck that Xcube Firing Bar!!!

That probably is the Facebook "F"...probably made some advertising money off of that...

Not sure of the price point on the Lucifer, but $20 I couldn't be happier with the NC.

I'm sure there are plenty of high quality series mods out there. But for what I paid I cannot complain one bit.

I want to do something crazy for the Mason...Maybe some Altered Bridge Coils or something along the lines...but then again I want the build to be very functional also...any ideas guys?

a whole range of stove tops.4 different burner sizes that all fire at the same rate. the thing will look like Grannies stove at Thanksgiving dinner! lol

you'll want red tops for this build ;) better 5 sec burst ;)

no. where???

People seem to be baffled on how its done and without a nice press it can be difficult but this is a easy way to make your Ribbon Corrugated for builds like on Instagram...they never show how its done or explain how they did it but when I was in my office earlier I saw something that enlightened me...
Ill copy and paste the post..
If anyone here wants to know how they make the Ribbon Corrugated like you see in the Ivy Coils its pretty simple. You need the Precision Screwdrivers like you get at walmart but a Fresh set so the lines arent fucked up...This Set:
Precision_Screwdriver_Set_1.jpg

Take 2 of the drivers (They lines need to match size and spacing...) and face them in opposing directions and the lines line up like gears.....Now feed your Ribbon through it and roll the drivers. This isnt a perfect method but this is how you can make your own Ivy/Corrugated Ribbon Easily. You need to keep it straight and it can be difficult rolling the drivers with Ribbon between. With some ingenuity you could easily make a jig to crank the ribbon through with guides so it doesnt get messed up. The set of drivers have different widths of lines so you can make various sized shapes using different drivers. I hope this helps you guys and I hope some of you try it and make some Crazy Corrugated/Ivy Builds as you have more time then I do....

Some helixed parellel claptons.
22/34 claptons helixed with 34. Vapes like a boss. 20160326_113729.jpg

Also got a question about this build. Ohms out at .12. Cant run duals. But if i do a fused clapton with 22 cores, it ohms high enough to do duals. Im kinda confused as to why the parellel 22 would be lower (alot) then a fused clapton with 22 core. Can anyone answer this question (or even comprehend what im atempting to ask)?

Walmart has a set for around 1.99 but you need to buy 2 sets as its doesnt come with drivers with lines that perfectly match up....make sure the set you get has all the same size Flatheads as Phillips!

Im positive. Had a slight issue with it on first fire, and corected it. It just confuses me. Becuase its the same amount of wire (for cores) only difrence is their individually wraped instead of one wrap. (Only reason i helixed them was to make coiling up easier and it makes them look badass)

The only other reason is one of the leads isnt making perfect contact, the outer make makes less then a .01 difference. A Fused clapton and a Parallel of the same wire is essentially the same.

Exactly why im confused. Everythings nice and tight, the posts are tight as fuck, nothings obviously wrong with the build. Its one of the cleanisr builds ive done in a while (ive been playing with crazier builds so the cleanliness has lacked lately) its a big build but it fits right into the mason 24 (absolutly love this rda and am torn between ordering a goon or the 40)

So i just dont know at this point

Im stumped then...

I would get the Goon unless you got some boxes powerful enough to push builds that would go into the Mason 40mm...Half the Boxes I own barely push the last build and smaller builds dont make it as warm of a vape...Its a great RDA but its a demanding one. I have the Goon and the Tsunami arriving in the morning...I cant wait to see and try them out. Ill let you know how it goes!

If anything, it would let me really play up thst high. Highest i ever really go is 150w. (Only builds thst use that much is my framed staple coils 6 wraps dual) i hover around 100 mostly. Im at 75 right now on a more power saver build.

And yeah, im stumped on my coil issue as well. Build astheticly looks perfect. But i just dont understand why it ohms alot lower then a single fused clapton with 22 cores.

Still not enough...Will have to use unregulated Mods, the RX200 and most other Regulated mods wont fire under .08. You would need atleast 2 massive/long coils that would need crazy amounts of power to ramp up or multiple coils that will register crazy low and still need crazy wattage. There really isnt a build for that thats "easy on mods".

I'm running a 22g FC in my Haze and it's at .14Ω, I believe it's 3mm ID and 6 wraps. So it doesn't sound like your coil is off here. 1 less wrap and .02Ω less. What are your dual 22g builds running?

Goon is 24mm. The 24mm, 28.5mm, and 30mm I think are great sizes, the 30mm may be a bit more then what you would really be looking for. The Magma Reborn is also 24mm and I find it the perfect size to work with as it gives you more room and its not too big. When you get to a certain size then you actually limited into finding what would actually work and work well and most builds would actually be just for pictures...I would say stay lower then 30mm but 24mm-28.5mm I find to be perfect..

Yeah, the 24 is good size but a little bigger with a better spacing between the posts would be nice. Honestly, if i could find a 24 velocity big post hole rda, id be in heaven. A very very foggy heaven.

Try the Magma Reborn clone...or wait for the Tsunami24 by Geekvape, its supposed to be released when the Tsunami 22mm hits the shelves. Also the Temple Mini and Cthulhu Shuriken may also fit your wants

Dual~core Interlocking Aliens built for series in the TM(squared).
~2x26g KA-1 cores // 36g outer
~.3mm inner
~8 wraps is .3Ω

Notes:
This is just a stellar build for series vaping. Hits SUPER hard, immensely flavorful. Ramp up is almost preemptive, fires up the instant you touch the button. Vapor is warm and smooth, also plentiful. Very happy with this build, worth the trouble for sure.

Think of the lines that go down the sides of the screwdriver handles are much like gear teeth. Two of them with matching teeth will act as a crimping setup. Rolling the Screwdriver handles together while pulling/feeding the Ribbon wire between them will press the lines/teeth into the corrugated shape on the Ribbon....Ill make a Real Tut later for you.

Got a mech mod coming today, courtesy of Ray ;)

Trying to decide how to build for this guy while in class.

Thinking I'll probably just do some aliens or 3 core FC. What is your guys preferred resistance on parallel mechs? Been months since I've build for Mech...

Have you ever noticed how if you do a coil build with open wraps and then you decide to snug the wraps together the resistance drops, with your FC build the wraps are snugged which will drop the resistance and with the claptons around each wire in your second build is like having spaced cores.

i noticed this along time ago and on average i was getting a difference of 0.2ohms but this might have been due to the type of wire and resistance i normally shoot for.

.02 or .2, because that's a pretty huge jump.

You can get cogs easy enough on ebay, if you had the type where you had a smaller hole in the middle which ive seen you could use a pin nail to nail the cogs to a piece of wood then feed your ribbon vertically whilst using your other hand to spin one cog

Got the Goon in today and I really didnt have time to do anything crazy yet so Ill be revisiting it soon. It came with some oil on it but not a crazy amount and the screw for the Post was loose, so I tightened it all up and started building for the Lucifer. When I was building one of the Posts kept turning....this should NOT be an issue and I would have thought they had learned to squared off the post and insulator by now but it is a issue and Im sure I will only get a few more builds in before it gets TOO loose....Fucking $70 for that....really?

what was the difference Boattlebot was getting?
6 wrap 22g FC was reading .2 each (so .1 dual), while his new 22g claptons paralleled together is reading .14( would be .07 dual), but if you look he has less than 6 wraps (2 halfs and 3 fulls, though not sure how he was counting his 22g, I know sometimes I just count the outsides even knowing that's wrong)

Anyways, yeah I know what you're talking about, just seemed that .2 is quite a large jump, but yes as you pull and tighten things up you're squeezing the ID down which means less wire in the coil and a lower resistance. At least that's what I think you're talking about right?
