Dual 8 wraps of a 28g core fused clapton around a 3mm will land you right above .4Ω
Dual~core Aliens in the TM(squared).
Dual 8 wraps landed me right at .3Ω (do NOT replicate this without reliable batteries)
~26g Kanthal cores
~40g N80 wraps
~3mm inner diameter
Dual core aliens are still a favorite quick go-to build on the cricket for me. They provide great flavor, and put out a TON of vapor. They hold plenty of juice which allows for a more "normalized" vaping experience, meaning i can take as long of a pull as i want without it going dry on me.

Have you been stepping up the core gauge for your initial clapton or just going 26 to 26?

You can probably quick pulse it with 25Rs, but with HB6s, you're right at the 30 amp limit for continuous.
Yea I wouldnt suggest it, the 25R's started getting warm at 3.4 Ohms when using it for some chain vaping...I wouldnt go any lower then that.

Wow...now that is a different insulator...The postholes looks slightly smaller but it could be just the picture. The juice well looks deeper and the posts look thicker also...actually I like how the Negative post is like the Masons and swoops into the side.
Im sure the experience is the same though and building on either is easy...I actually like it more then I like the Goon...
28g for the original clapton. I always do one size smaller when building dual cores, although 2 sizes smaller works as well

Its basically a Hobo V1/V2 Cap with a TM/Indy Base, they were supposed to be something special...I posted the black Goon Clone also.

I'm actually not seeing to much new shit that makes me feel like I "have to" have it. Kinda breaks my heart. I just keep seeing the same things in different combos. The truly new stuff doesn't tickle my fancy to much.

Messing around with some 26/36 sfc. I had to make sure my spacing was right before trying the staple.
Some stitched aliens, not too happy with these since the stitch kept messing up my spacing. Oh well no time to do it over

If you make some really wide wire and it normally doesnt fit in anything unless you drill the holes out more...thats when you appreciate these newer rda's...If your making normal coils and dont change how many wraps or they fit fine then you wont need these RDA's. The choices of mounting, the capabilities of these RDA's I love...

With a bit of effort and some thought beforehand you can pump just about any coil out. Planning ahead and the better your prep work makes for an easy over experience. If you have everything laid out and organized then its not much more then wrapping something up...I hated framed Staples and stuff before but since Ive kept my bench more organized and make a few sliders and use a paperclip they are almost effortless..All it takes is practice, some dedication and wire...I still havent done Aliens enough to make anything worth posting, so far Ive made one dual coil that looked nice and that was 2 months ago...I havent done them since...Ill try it again when I have more wire...Right now Im just playing around with the Corrugated/;Hybrid stuff...Even if they dont work the lengths of wire are nice enough to use to make a cool railing for my benchI cant make anything to crazy. I dont see how they wrap with the Corrugated stuff...When I wrap it always seems to take and stretch those corrugated pieces and it doesnt look anything like the ones I see posted...
Been eyeing the goon myself also. Everything I have seen on it, it appears to be one hell of an atty.

Decided to try my hand at some fused calptons. 26 cores and 36 on the wrap. Came out to about .2ohm at 5 wraps, 3mm ID.
Really happy with how they turned out. I vaped them between 40 up to 85 watts and it was great! Not a single bit of popping occurred as compared to the regular clapton I tried. Had tons of popping on that thing. Not sure if it was my wicking or what.

The TM² is one that I actually think is quite well designed. It gives you many different sizing options with the same deck. Long using only the outsides, medium using one outside one inside, short using just the insides, or maybe even a quad setup using all the holes on each side. I agree with you for the most part though, not all that much new going on, but that was one that I thought was pretty nifty.

I don't have the paitence nor the talent to get colors to come threw good. Every now and then I get some color but I don't try for it. Mostly because I don't use much n80 since I bought the 1000'KD roll lol

My guess he put them in with too much lead slack and then lifted them, this is why they are like they are...Its not an issue, just would add resistance I guess and maybe the leads could heat up...More just my brain being unable to comprehend the reason why. I had that issue when i first started building crazy coils. Didn't account for the springiness and had my "perfect" coils go crazy
then my legs heated up first. So my first "crazy" build sucked lol

Getting colors isn't too hard on N80, or SS.
- Wash the coil with an old toothbrush and dish soap.
- Quick pulse 10-15 times at a really low voltage and wiggle/stroke the coil then 10-15 times around 2-2.5 volts (this brings out golds).
- move up to 3.5 volts and fire 'til she glows (brings out the other colors).
