Ughhh. I took my Boreas apart today to clean it and do a rewick (lol) as its been about a week since I last did one, and when I popped out the build deck I was greeted by hands down the grossest coils Ive ever personally seen. Its just thick in the middle with burnt on gunky crispy charcoal shit. Fucking totally gross, no wonder Ive been getting shitty flavor the last day or 2. I dont really even use it all that much, I rotate my tanks for work and at home Im usually using either my Noisy Cricket or something else with an RDA. Still though, totally sick. Makes me wanna go back to the Alleria so I can monitor the coils lol. Not being able to see them makes you just ignore them.

Well here are my very first Fused Claptons that I spun all by my little lonesome. I know that they aren't pretty, like some of the ones up above me, but it was,after all, my very first attempt. I used what I had handy, 2x 24g A1 core and 32g Nichrome 80 for the wrap. I discovered over the last hour, that it is much easier to go fast, than it is to go slow. They are 3mm and come in at .28 ohms each. Knowing what I know now they will be 2-2.5mm in the future. Thanks to everyone here for the inspiration. The coils you build are pretty amazing.

Try some NETs and you'll see what gunk really looks like , but yeah crazy how nasty things can get sometimes, cotton can be fine but the coils just icky.

Here's some frame staple I made last night for my trip. I really love making these now once I got it down I think I'll never go back to normal fc. Totally in love! 2x24g ka1 4x.6 ka1 ribbon 40g n80 wrap. Should be around .1 ohm dual setup

A tip for everyone doing the Frame Staples.
The trick to getting them to wrap evenly and perfect is to bend the wire inwards as it wraps around the bit...this is what has worked for me so I hope it helps you guys, Ill try and take a pic of what Im talking about for those that dont understand what I mean.

Nah, I was trying to dry up the tank so I couild take it apart without getting juice everywhere, and I ended up hitting it a bit dry a couple times and it tasted like burned death. Gotta stay on top of changing coils, but when youve got a couple dozen combined tanks and rdas if you stayed on top of it all youd do is change fucking coils and wicks

I envy that man, Ive got 10 mods, 30 tanks/rdas, more wire types and premade coils than I can count and literally hundreds of bottles of juice. I have enough combinations in there to last 1000 lifetimes worth never using the same combo twice lol. Deciding what to take with me to work is the hardest part of my day. I need to sell most of this shit and get back to basics.

Yikes. Looks like the coil and the cotton both congealed into a single merged blob of shit. It looks like a slug crawled in there and ate all the cotton and got too fat to get out of the coil so it just oozed around it. Im pretty sure thats how life started on earth. God had one that bad, threw it in the ocean and BOOM! Dinosaurs.

Anyways, Finally wrapped up all the wire I made the last week. Ive got a nice little multi stacked container for storage. Works great and I think Ill grab some more, got them at Dicks sporting goods in the fishing section for like $2. Ill get a pic in a little.

But I threw a set of regular 5 ply .5 x .1 wrapped in 34 into the Boreas to replace those dirty fused claps. They work crazy well and bring out a lot of different notes in the juice that I never tasted before. Matter of fact, I dont even like this juice anymore with these coils lmao. Tastes funky with the staples.

I have a drawer full of stuff I need to get rid of. At some point I should toss it up in the PIF or trading area. Probably a good 40lbs of stuff (it tries to break my drawer when I open it).

I already PIFed a large box of juice away, and have about 40-50 more bottles sitting in my "PIF Box" in my bedroom. Just stuff I bought online through great deals and discount codes that I dont personally like. When I first started vaping I went through a long phase of buying any and all juice I could find just to see what I liked, but then I realized I had 200+ bottles of juice laying around that I was probably never going to finish before it went bad or whatever. So I sorted through trying hundreds of flavors and spliting them into a keep and pif pile. Still a lot to give away, but Im picky with my charity lol. Dont want it to go to some lazy douche who just wants free shit.

Would you be interested in trading some of that juice for some coils? PIF is great (I'll be doing a PIF soon myself), but if you're so inclined, sometimes I get tired of making my own juice. Kinda like wanting to go out to eat after eating home cooking for so long. Sometimes I just don't feel like cooking...

Its a Clapception. Idk how its normally done with the gauges, but I did a 30/40 clapton, and then wrapped that whole thing around a 26 gauge wire. I wont disclose how long it took to wrap that 4 foot long 30ga wire with that 40ga, but it was a long time. So Its a clapton claptoned clapton. Yo Dawg.....

I'm about the same (not as bad) but if you want to post a list of what you want to get rid of I'll be happy to buy some stuff from you, i got about 25-30 bottles of unwanted juice some not even open, i see a good deal and order when it gets here i realize I'm not interested anymore so i just put it in a box aside.
I think it will be a good idea to start a site with all the unwanted stuff for trade or sale, not like the one here that you post one item trading for such and such, maybe a list with pics of all the stuff available so people will pick out of your stuff and you will check out their stuff and decide what you want in return. Just a thought

Where do you guys get your ribbon wire? I usually buy all my wire from Lightning Vapes since the regular round wire is so cheap but the ribbon is 4-5x the price of the round, so thought Id see if theres any cheaper shit out there. Id like to get 100' rolls at least.

KP usually but your talking over 100ft it can get REAL expensive, 1000ft of .5 can be found on Ebay and other places for just over $155...

Okay...I know this isnt sensible or a good plan but I wanted to do a "Crazy build" in the So Horney RDA when it arrived...Here's what I came up with...
Top to Bottom Specs:
3 x 26N80/38N80 Aliens
5 x .5R/26N80/40N80 Fraples
8 x 32KA1/30N80 Flattened/Polished Aliens
Checks out to .04 Ohms. I tried firing it but it melted my HOG V1 internals.....

I was going to use Alien Framed Staples in the Middle but I wanted to mix it up more then "Alien Everything"...After these pics I took everything but the Flattened/Polished Aliens Out and Have them in a "X" Pattern..I still have yet to vape this setup but it heats quickly and burns bright, so it should be a great setup!




How I will actually be using the RDA ( .09 Ohms):

Ill rebuild it..I was thinking of making a box of my own for testing and making it easier on my other gear for dryburning stuff....Something like 6-8 18650's hooked up to a button on the desk but Im not sure if I want it as a portable mod or a desk setup...Its not that often I make something like that but still is something I would like to invest in.

i thought about that too, i keep reading the 521 tab doesnt really have the balls to fire beefy coils. i thought it would be cool to see one with a couple 18650s and a regulator so you could even use it to get color shots at the bench before you put it on your mod, and a rock solid 510 that you can apply lots of torque on if you have to...then you could do a full build with zero wear and tear on your mod/batteries.

I have both 521 Tabs and I wouldnt use them for pulsing anything like these...maybe single strand micro coils but nothing above a clapton, it takes too long and the batter warning pops up pretty frequently. I have a R80 from Smok that has a janky 510 and was going to use it as a TAB Master but I forgot about it...It only does 80w and fires down to .1 though..I wish they would sell the Hohm Wrecker or Snow wolf Chip..then I would be in business!

Yup. My builds got pretty damn hot, too. That's why I wanna try high gauge aliens next. Like I said in a previous post, the So Horney is really more of a novelty than anything else. Although if loaded up with nothing but single and fused Claptons, it should be able to put out some serious cloudage.

I may try (Top to Bottom) Claptons, Fused Claptons, Staggered fused claptons next...that should be a bit better also...cant wait too see what your build looks like!

Fucking A, what a shitty day.

I went out with my little list in hand to grab the shit to start doin the wire, and it was down hill from there. Went to Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart looking for shit, and nothing on the list was there aside from a vise and drill which I wasnt gonna get anyways. Walmart had some barrel swivels but no ball bearing ones, so fuck it, guess Ima try those.

But then leaving walmart already pissed cuz I was leaving defeated and empty handed (plus I fucking HATE walmart to start with), I hope in my car and it wont start! Tried to get a jump, and nothing. God damn it. Had to leave it sitting there and figure out what my next move is. Guess gonna have to get it towed to a shop.

I was working a couple hotspots out of some 30k/38n fc's and started wondering why kanthal or nichrome coils are always made in contact style. It's the way I learned and have always done it this way, but what is the reasoning or concept behind the idea. Hotspots would be a non issue with spaced coils, but there must be some reason why it's not done that way.
