How does it vape? Looks like a huge amount of surface area. Gonna try that one....

edit - dang it should have ordered that Nichrome ribbon. Will have to try kanthal for now
It's stupid hot. I won't lie. I'm not real sure how long I'm gonna try and tolerate them, but the flavor is good and the clouds are just tarded, but yeah... They are hot. :) However, I built these damn things and it took 2 attempts to do it so :bliss:I'm gonna vape them at least the rest of the night. Tastebuds or no!

Next time try .3 or .4 ribbon and try twisting the Ribbon about 3 times more then that, if it breaks put it back in the drill and do that 2-3 times...This make the design look much crazier.
Not sure I'll build them again. Thus far I'm not a huge fan. Way hotter than I like, and that's saying a lot because I like a real warm vape.

You could use 3 Cores next time and when twisting the Ribbon measure the 3 cores up to the twist every so often....try and get it so the vertical part of the twists lay flat over the cores in parallel....then wrap it...thats the Tsuka Wrap..

Has anyone ever worked with 44g Ni80? This shit is hair fine. So in looking for a suggestion on how to keep it from breaking at the touch.

Chef and I have delved all the way up into the 50's (54N60 for me)...its a nightmare and I dont suggest it...44g isnt too bad, just be careful with it as the higher you go the more fragile it becomes.

I'm finally rocking a framed staple build.

Took me a long ass time, but I think my method will work in the future as well as it did this time. I only did 4 strands -- just because I was tired after getting 4 done. Lovely vape. Definitely not a build I care to do every time I sit to build though.

Here it is, usually I start a wrap on each coil and uncoil that first wrap as a lead, I find my first is always a throw away. But in the interest of resistance I kept the first wrap on these, making it a 6 wrap 3mm ID the IPV reads a .17(?)

26g frame, (4) .4 ribbon bound with 38 Nichrome 80.

Got my gold AFC ring in from Twisted Messes. I'm fairly certain these were free because of minor cosmetic damages that stopped them from going to sale... Mine has a small gouge on it and the air holes don't match up perfectly . . . can't complain... It's free...

Thanks ray for the VG tip I found it helpful.

Very Nice, hopefully it gets easier for you from here! I have a similar set in my Alleria RTA (using 28KA1 as frames a 3 x .3 KA1 Ribbon Cores)

I'm having a hard go with this, I can't imagine 50. This is like tying flys. I think I need to use a magnifying lamp to work with it. Glad I bought 500' lol

You have to use a Swiveling Mag glass for the higher gauges or its almost impossible to wrap evenly..it can double on itself very easily...

On mine, I like to use 6x0.5 and 2x26 frames and the decored 36g Clapton wraps pretty much the same as a regular alien.
What do you wrap your initial clapton around? I'm thinking 20 gauge might be good...

This is my new favorite coil. I have looked on line for a week and can't find anything about it, so I'm gonna call it the "Hellion" coil.
It's a
36g Ni80 Hive wire Claptoned around a 24g Ni80 core. It comes in at .18 after pulsing it.
It's a very warm vape, and the flavor is off the chain. If you can point me in a direction of it being done, I'd love to see it, but I can't find it anywhere. Talk to me, I'm listening.

Im sorry you had to endure Zamplebox...I was young and careless once also...:p
What I used to spend on the Platinum Box every month is what I buy for a month of juice for me....Not to try juice to last through the month and have alot left over...I used to go through all my Zamplebox and have to order from other placs after a week or 2 and still run out of liquid, its costly but then I found a few vendors that are great in prce and flavors. Try VVV's sample packs and make sure to use the discounts from his thread and you wont look back ever again. I have over 5000ml's of stored juice and Tax Time Im ordering a Gallon of each Flavor for the year (Just in Case FDA/Rules are F*cked afterwards Ill have enough juice to taper off after a year or w/e. Ive maybe spent $180 and the amount of juice I have would last most years....and its some of the best damn juice Ive tried so far...
Shit "B" (VVV Owner) gave Ej 5 free bottles to try just to see what the hype on the thread was about....its win win, gushfest over
I actually enjoy my mid-level Zamplebox subscription. I don't have the money to try a bunch of different juices so I've pretty much stuck to what I know over the last year or so. Don't get me wrong, Betty and Lana, Looper, The Crunch and The Milk 2, Cactus Juice, and Aries are all very good juices, but I've wanted to branch out more without having to drop 20 bucks on a bottle that ends up sitting in my closet for 6 months before I toss it after finally admitting I'm never going to vape it again. Z-box allows me to try brands and flavors I wouldn't normally experiment with at a reasonable price. In my short, two-month subscription I've only had 2 bottles come that I didn't enjoy. Some are fabulous and others merely good, but an 83% success rate for $25/month is a much better deal than I would get just trying a few juices at my local store and buying a $22 bottle of what tasted good in the store, only to find it is overpowering or underwhelming when I get it home and try to work my way through an entire tank of the stuff using my gear. After dropping hundreds if not thousands of dollars with the latter method, I much prefer Zamplebox to search for flavors that might be able to work their way into my regular rotation. I've already picked out four that I plan to order the next time I'm online buying juice.

You do realize that quote is from page 50 something.....The juices Zamplebox uses arent budget juices so once you do find something you like you wont be able to stock up on it before you vape it all...Try some Verdevalleyvapes, yetivape, fivefoldvapors (carnival), suicide bunny, ejuicemafia, vapewild, mechsuace, and somichvape..you could easily buy a TON of juice from each of these or their smaller smaple packs for not even a third of what the cheapest box from zamplbox is and then if you like something you could easily surmount a metric ton for pennies on the dollar. I dont call these budget juices as they are pretty amazing for the costs...they are Affordable juices and they taste amazing...You'll see once you start trying any of these that zamplebox isnt as great as you think it is....unless you dont vape much juice at all...then I guess it could be worth it...

Say raymo, I believe I saw you post a picture of one of your builds on a Tres Equis, what's your opinion on it? I've been eyeballing it but not sure if it's worth $230.

Clone for $26, took some fiddling to get it working right (it's a clone, what do you expect?) but now that it's dialed in, beautiful. Personally a nearly 10X price increase is hard to swallow, but the idea of it working even better and the smoother button, well, if any mod is worth that money, this is right up there in the argument at the very least.

Been marathoning the star trek stuff I haven't seen, watched most TNG episodes many times, but never watched voyager all the way through and I missed a lot of DS9. I'm over half way through voyager now. 7of9
Although I enjoy it, I've never really followed DS9. TNG and Voyager are my 2 favorites, with Voyager being on the top of my list. There's no episode of either that I haven't seen at least 2 or 3 times. I've watched "Endgame" about 7 or 8 times. It's like a movie.

So, I haven't ever really been into TC builds. Any advice for 316L TC builds? The Lavabox is a DNA200 device, so I might as well explore it.. I was thinking maybe I should do my favorite - an alien, but in all SS316L.

Its pretty low if your doing a 3 Core, even with 26g....Try a Dual Core 28g if you want Dual Coils...if not rock a 3 Core single Coil of 24g

Something from today....

Tried some different settings for the Staggered Fused Claptons...Im not to fond of it from a macro view but with my eyes they looks amazing..
22KA1/32N80/38N80 (5 Wraps/3mm ID)

20160501_172249.jpg 20160501_172320.jpg 20160501_172233.jpg 20160501_172222.jpg

Some Aliens I made for the TM Squared...no other reason then that, I did try them on the HOG V2 but its too hot for anything great...
3 x 26KA1/36N80 (9 Wraps/3mm ID)

20160502_102812(0).jpg20160502_102806.jpg

I tried some different Supima Cotton's today (Vapors Choice, Infidel Staches, some other one that is trying to front a Native Wicks but cheaper....)
I was hoping they would have worked atleast well enough so I could stock up on some cotton, I love Cotton Bacon V2 because there's no Break In or nasty tastes...well these cottons I tried today have reminded me why I HATE breaking in cotton and then some. It tasted alot like Tree Bark burning...and I wasnt even dryhitting...all of them the same taste, I couldnt even slightly taste the juice I was using...Ill stick with Cotton Bacon V2 and Native Wicks for now.

Here's the build before rewicking, its funny this tasted a thousand times better then the cotton I replaced it with...

Ummm... Yeah, I kinda sorta know that stuff, Ray.
My standard 3x26/36 would read about 0.06Ω in SS316L. Which is fine in TC mode. But I think I'll probably try 3x28/38 because I'm just not trying to see how low I can go any longer. I'm more interested in perfecting the quality of my vape.

When you build series builds how long do you makes your cores before wrapping? I was thinking about trying some aliens.

so a while ago i asked about removing the cores from claptons because i have a spool of premade 26/32 and very little else to work with. that night i did it, and tried to wrap some alien staples, which failed (they look similar to a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire lol). today i cut three one foot strips of it, removed the cores, and then fused them together with one of the wraps. my first try at regular aliens. feels good man...could be a lot more perfect in terms of wraps and core straightness, but im happy it worked at all. what kind of resistance should i expect? i kind of want to put them in the petri on the nc but i have a feeling they are gonna be really low

edit - installed on the tm2. dual six wraps on 3mm is .15 ohms

Well I thought I'd help...
You adjust the Temp to what you like for TC, I suggest starting out around 450 degree's and Keep the wattage at 200w so its instantly at your temp desired. You adjust to your liking, other then that there really isnt much suggest....

No dude, you don't wanna put that on a NC. But the wire itself looks great, though!

yeah thats what i thought at 26g, but part of me was hoping someone who knows this wire better would say 'oh a thirteen wrap single will be close to .4' or something like that. ill try an experiment later and see what i can do with it (hopefully without wasting it lol).

Polished is out of stock there also...this is the issue Im having!!!
You're going to love the Rafael X, it really is a series Mod fans wet dream! Just got it in the mail, had some pre-made 316L SS 26x2/32 gathering dust. 5 wraps around a 3mm di, hell yeah. Things I don't like but can live with are

1. Neutral post wobbles a bit
2. Hate the swirl thing in the drip tip
3. No air flow adjustment

This RDA really is a game changer IMO.

Dna200 can be problematic with 316L. I've had much better luck with 430. For SS I run the preheat wattage and punch real low, sometimes just zeroed out. If you can't find a .csv curve you like, try just using a straight tcr (.00092 for 316L).
