Lol. I'm so confused. Is it that socal is part of "the south"?

No. Not in the way you're thinking. Here...

'The South" is generally considered the section labelled Southeast.
California has it's own thing going.

Anyone heard from Rick? He was having a rough patch

He is alive and well on Facebook now and then. He is campaigning for the candidate that he thinks might not curtail our freedoms and might be able to "make America great again." Don't want to instigate a political debate but he and I share common values along these lines. He has been really enjoying the beautiful weather on his motorcycle. Seems to have bounced back a bit.

Just wanted to say it feels nice to be part of a group that has made me feel so welcomed. You guys are awesome, Thanks for being around in general and just thanks for everything
No, thank you. It is nice to have your humor. Makes me miss Hawk a little bit less. You are unique and you do offer a different and quick-witted perspective! I need that!

Awww......you missed me?
I don't hear that very often.
Well....I do......I hear "I missed him"...then the sound of reloading.

More temperate weather, rolling hills with waving grasses, vineyards and really very pleasant. If I were to ever be able to stomach the politics in CA, I would live in the Salinas area. I guess that isn't really NorCal. Maybe more Central Cal?
Kids just got back from anniversary weekend over Salinas way...Los Aptos

Got the jambalaya in the slow cooker. Accomplished something today after all.

Tomorrow my company is sending me off to a large convention, alone. They know not what they do.

I may have to bug you to find out how you make that breading dog. That dish looks like a cool idea.

It is just packet frozen puff pastry sprinkled with sesame seeds. Looks fancy if you are lazy, don't trim edges, just fold it, stab it really haphazardly.

Filled leftovers and a glug of wine and olive oil

had to google that, i think i gained 2kg reading it

friday is a holiday here, for the grand final parade leading up to the gf on saturday

the club issued a statement saying they are building a bigger bandwagon, so everyone is welcome
Just the way I like my food. Make sure you have 3 different meats, make some rice, and toss in everything else you can find in and around your property that's semi-edible. Add some spicy Cajun seasoning and BAM, jambalaya.

It's from the 'south'.

sounds about right!, a little roux, a little love and a few dead things- good to go.

remember the golden rule:
If it has ever, flown, swam, crawled or walked just serve with some rice and gravy.
