I'm using a Crown with a .5 ohm Stainless Steel coil. It's happened 3 times now, and it only seems to do it at half charge and lower, and only in Stealth Mode.Never deliberatly engaged stealth mode, I figure that the cloud big and dense enough to be seen form space was more visible than the tiny display. I have some watches brighter than the display. And no misfires.
What atty are you using, build etc, it it only misfiring one one atty or several? and when is it misfiring?
YesNope... Why, are you??

I'm running 1.08. I also noticed that it kicks in and out of Stealth Mode. I'm currently running in Wattage, only at 55w, I ran it in SS-TC mode but didn't not notice it then.Thank You, which firmware, and are you in wattage mode, or TC and if in TC at what temp?
I'll try to replicate that and see if it is somthing that mine does as well. From the amount of code that was different in the last firmware update, it seems pretty clear that a great deal more than just the font was changed, and I have been crossing my fingers that there were no serious bugs, as it was released very shortly after 1.07 I don't have a Crown, but I'll try a RDA with a .5ohm stainless coil in the next few days.
Another thing I have noticed with 1.08, (at least it never happened with 1.07) is that on one occasion, the RX kicked out of TC, and into watts mode a couple of times. The nice part about it is it set the watts at 20, so mid vape, I didn't get a scorched lungfull like when my X Cube 2 kicks out of TC mid vape.
I could not get it to do that a third time, but as I was rewicking at the end of that tank, I made a point to check the tightness of the screws on the deck, and while not loose, they were not tight, and took about a 1/2 turn to snug them up. No occurance of that since I tightnened them.

Funny u mentioned this last week. My Evic mini did same thing while I was vaping the herakles stainless coil. It would kick me out of ss temp and put me to power mode at 20watts huh. Joyetech bug probably. The Evic has the latest firmware updateThank You, which firmware, and are you in wattage mode, or TC and if in TC at what temp?

Everything was tight on my end. Did it about three times on the stainless and hasn't done it since. It was weird that u mentioned same problem but I haven't had problem sinceI don't think so, I believe that the issue was that my coil was not as tight on the deck a it should have been. Since tightening it, there has not been another instance of it.
A little while ago I was reading an email my friend has sent me in response to my asking hin to look at this thread, as he has a RX and a Crown, and he jolted my memory back to a problem I had with my Aspire Atlantis V2. Like the Crown, the TFV4 and I believe the Herakles, the Atlantis has a floating center pin. I won't go into the whole long story, but I sent Tanker a insanely long IM about it, and if he wishes to cut and paste part or all of it here it in, its OK with me.
The gist is, the floating center pin sometimes makes enough contact for a meter, or a mod to register its resistance, but under high current (fireing) it becomes intermittant. Just a few minutes ago, I found that by massivly torquing the RBA in my TFV4 into the base, the center pin of the 510 pushes downward. If I unscrew the RBA, and then thread it in lightly, it does not make a consistant contact. Unscrew the atty, and push the atty down on a hard surface, and the pin is pushed up, closing the gap, and back to normal.
This may or may not be part of his issue, I suspect there is much fiddeling to be done. There is another possibility as well, but I'm in the middle of trying to make the condidtions to see if it matches what he is experiencing.
https://m.fasttech.com/p/2157403Lol, no... thats not a fire cell. He bought wraps directly from them and then re wrapped a vtc... lol, whatever. Dont be embarrassed about your joke of a battery and then make up some story
That means they break the sealed wrapping on the box from the factory..don't know if I'd be comfortable with that...just a thoughtJust a small update for everyone here, I did get confirmation from ecig-city regarding those other colored RX200's that they are mixing the units themselves to create those colors.

I suppose, I thought they fired up the mod at the factory QC...didn't think it was a vendor that did it...One could look at it as an additional QC check. If they power them up too that is. If it saved me a DOA mod, its not a bug, its a feature! lol

Did mine last night. Knocked on wood haven't had this problemJust updated to 1.08 as well and now the mod is stuck in check battery, tried to roll back to earlier firmware but same issue, stuck in check battery. Tried new 3 different sets up batteries and no joy. Anyone else having this issue?

I did do the update without the batteries in. Just tried to update again, down to 1.07 and then up to 1.08 and still no joy, says check battery. This is probably obvious, but you took the batts out for the update right? If not, remove them and try it again.. One thing I havn't found on this mod is a hardware reset switch. My X Cube 2 does not have one either.
I got mine right before Christmas and my jwraps came in the mail SaturdayMy RX200 is on the mail truck today! Cant wait.

Yessir LOL it has a little window where you can see your juice level, got it from jwraps as wellYou wrapped your Crown? LOL.![]()
Oh not trying to convince you, mate! Just stating that, from what I've seen, a lot of people have updated with no problems. Just trying to contribute to paring down reasons for the malfunction of our forum-mate's mod.Why risk it? I peeled off the plastic protective film off my display and the screen is clear and bright...can even read it in sunlight..I'm quite happy without the update..

I was told by the guys at my local B&M store that SS doesn't work well in TC mode, that it just can't be done because the metal is too unstable. I don't claim to understand it, but just use my SS coils in power mode.
And example if you will. My TFV4. Bought at my local shop. I paid 8 dollars more for it than I would have from China.
You got yours at a price that was rare for a Canadian. Choices here were either China for $45, Group buys for $65 or B + M stores for $70 + tax.
