The tc coil was great in the crown, but I think I'm a little bit allergic to the nickel. It just irritated my throat a bit. One of these days I'll get around to getting the rba section & try some titanium on it

I'm allergic to nickel when I touch or wear it. I vaped my brother-in-law temp control ni200 but I am still on the fence about getting one for myself.

Yeah, I think I'm just slightly allergic. Since I switched to a regular coil it's been fine.

I am also, but I have no problems vaping it! (Most of us have already vaped nickel in our earlier setup without being aware).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my evod coils had some kind of nickel but I never had a problem.

I'm highly allergic to nickel, so allergic a belt I had would rash up my belly through 3 shirts, never had an issue building with it or vaping it.
The same thing happens to me! I'm waiting for my wife to okay a new mod with temp control.

I have pictured this before in some other threads but this is what the IPV2 mini did to my hand...

74546C17-3BB5-4968-91B1-AF4313224EC5_1.jpg

Took about a week my hand started itching, it was really weird and sucky and gross, BUT its a wonderful excuse to buy good stuff. If vaping on nickel hasn't done anything to me yet I think I am good to go:)

If you have the same thing be careful on the mod you get, I cant take the chance unless I know what it's made out of...

Yea it sucked.......

Back on track with the thread I did get my SMOK TFV4, this thing is a tad redonkulous....I haven't used the triple or quad heads yet, just threw on the RBA.

It's just so damn beefy almost too beefy but its a winner so far great flavor and man just with the single coil at 65 watts its pretty bad ass!! The wicking was one of the easiest so far and the top fill is wondrous. Cant wait to play with NI and TI builds on it...I highly recommend it.

Still need to really use it to get concrete thoughts but so far I am very happy with it:)

I TC NI200 in the IPV3Li at 30 Joules, and 420-450 F and get plenty of flavor.
I had plenty of flavor with it using the NI200 coil. was at 34 watts and around 500 degrees. But after a day the coil started muting the flavor. I took it out and it was all junky and crappy. Usually my coils go days before that happens. I chalked it up to a possibly bum coil and put a new one in. This one I have at 490 degrees but now 40 Watts thinking more power may vaporize that junk before it builds up. Hopefully that all it is because I do love this tank so far and the flavor is amazing without going through massive amounts of juice like some of the others. If all else fails, I will break out the RBA and give that a shot

Let us know how that works out. I'm planning on ordering at least one RBA and if I like it, I'll order a second one.

Maybe I will get the RBA fired up after work today. For some reason, my ni200 coils junk up super quick in this tank. The tank itself is great I am just not in love with the Ni200 coils unless one day life expectancy is what I can live with. The new coil I put in last night is already starting to show signs of excessive junk build up. I am going to switch over to my billows v2 for a bit today and try and get the RBA built up. I will def report back with my thoughts and findings on that. I does look like a cool little feature that may make this tank shine even more.

I dont know if the tritan has ss wire for the coil, but i bought a 5 pack and have had to same coil in it for almost a month now, still strong flavor and strong vapor, maybe burning it at 60 watts is keeping it clean, i vape strawberry, bananna vanilla custard through it, ive just realling like the 4 huge wicking holes and the top fill is awesome, good to have a needle tip bottle laying around. The only con with my vct a1 is u have to unscrew the base to fill other than that the five huge wick holes is a plus, i run max vg thru it, im running it 10 watts higher than the recommended wattage no dry hits yet.

I'm not sure what juice you're vaping, but I chain vape Yeti Stashu (caramel custard) and my coil lasts me a couple of weeks. The one I'm using now is a week old and is showing no signs of gunking or flavor muting.

I have a cantaloupe game over custard DIY juice in it now. I hit it pretty frequently but it seems to be junking up pretty quick. Wonder if cranking up the power will help to burn it off or if lower power would be better :/

I'm not sure. In power mode, I run my .5 and .25 coils between 25-30 watts. In TC I run 30 Joules at 420-475 F most of the time. Never tried Game Over Custard yet, so have no idea if that's the problem or not.

sounds like yours is a bit lower than what I was using. Havent used the Kantal coils yet but with the Ni200, I was at 34 W (probably same if it was joules) at 490 degrees. I am try reducing it down during the day today and see what happens...

If any of you guys or using SS wire let me know what to get and where the best place is. I am hearing a lot about it. Is it better than Kanthal in your opinions?

I had SS in the Aspire Triton tank. To me the flavor was not as good as Kanthal or Nickle but it last longer than usual for me...

Here is a size comparison of the 3 tanks, note that the OBS is slightly taller than the Arctic but holds 6 ml compared to 3 ml, this is mainly due to the top filling design.

Is that the Subtank V2?

Do not waste your money on it. Comes with 1 regular .5ohm coil and one nickel. Both give terrible dry hits.
I used it for a couple of tanks as it came with my Sig 75 (lost both my SX M and Triton tank) so needed a quick vape set up. I havent used it since. Felt cheap and the vape from the tank pretty much sucked....

Just want to thank everyone for their sharing here. Very helpful. This will sound dinosaur era to most, but I have a few 50 watt isticks. I currently have the subtank mini kangertech. I hate buying coils and highly allergic to nickel. I want a new tank. I want to build my own coils. I have small hands so the kangertech ran is no problem for me. I want flavor, could care less about clouds. I build with kanthal. No tc. here. As I read everything here I am thinking my best option might be the t-vct? Any and all advice most welcomed.

Also I found this link...

The T-VCT is an awesome tank! I don't have the RBA deck yet, so can't say how easy it is to build on. I hope to get the RBA soon so I can try a Ti build on it.

I second the T-VCT as it is a very nice tank. The quality is top notch and flavor is wonderful. You would not regret this tank at all. Its more of a flavor tank than a cloud maker but it does put out some very nice dense vapor..

It's a small RBA deck. So, it takes a little patience to build on it. Wicking it is pretty much the same as the ST mini. But, overall the RBA deck isn't too bad to build on.

More flavorful and more vapor. Definitely worth it for titanium builds.
Oh hell ya. The flavor is more intense and the vapor is,so dense and plentiful I'd swear I was vaping 100 plus watts. Nice big air bubbles coming from wicking holes as well

Keep seeing good things about this T-VCT and love the look of it, said no to it once because I want the RBA too, so more expensive, but getting tempted again, but where can you get the tank and RBA at the same place at a decent price?
