Keep seeing good things about this T-VCT and love the look of it, said no to it once because I want the RBA too, so more expensive, but getting tempted again, but where can you get the tank and RBA at the same place at a decent price?
Sweet-vapes is where I got mine from

Just picked up a OBS TVCT yesterday and I only have one word......WOW. Had a Smok vct pro and a Aspire Triton but this by far my favorite. Just great flavor and vapor production. Anyone else have one?

They do have ni200 coils. I went thru one almost daily with Temps at 500 and 40 watts. They junked up quick. Least the RBA can be rebuilt easily

Thanks, ordered tank and RBA :)

Ordered the black one, they also have a limited dark blue with white splatter which not seen anywhere else, but like the look of the black more.

I used it for a couple of tanks as it came with my Sig 75 (lost both my SX M and Triton tank) so needed a quick vape set up. I havent used it since. Felt cheap and the vape from the tank pretty much sucked....
How did you lose the M and the Triton?

I second the T-VCT as it is a very nice tank. The quality is top notch and flavor is wonderful. You would not regret this tank at all. Its more of a flavor tank than a cloud maker but it does put out some very nice dense vapor..
Better than the Starre and Beast?

its a long story but I was partying with some hippies in the woods and well lets just say its no longer with me lolol.. I wasnt going to bring it but it was my only TC device at the time. But luckily I still had my original IPV3 with me too so I vaped traditional style the rest of the time. That was strange but it got me though. So now I am waiting on my custom SX350J dual box mod to arrive hahahahha

The Starre and the Beast vs the VCT are two completely different animals. I have all three (imaging that lolol).. the Starre and Beast are very airy, provide some good flavor (Starre more than the Beast) and some great clouds with 5 ml capacity. The VCT is a tigher draw which lately I have been really enjoying. There is plenty of air flow but there is a slight restriction unlike the Starre / Beast. I found with those two, I had the air flow closed down to only 25% open. I guess that just my vaping style so the VCT is great for me. When you put the RBA base on the air flow restricts a little bit more which is still fine with me. With the RBA on and the airflow open all the way, it is still plenty of air for me. The flavor on the VCT I think is much better than the Starre / Beast and it holds 6 ml vs the 5 ml. It is top fill much like the Beast where you unscrew the top section and shut off the air. With the VCT, there is also a separate juice control that you can turn down if you are running higher PG juices. I run most of my tanks with 85% VG so mine is wide open. I have chain vaped it at higher temp and watts and have never got a dry or burnt hit. I did find with the VCT that the nickel coils dont last long with my vaping style. Some are reporting longer life span and I believe that to be true, but I like the higher temp, higher watts so it was junking up pretty quick. No dry / burnt flavor, just the gunk started muting the flavor. I am sure the RBA section will keep me form buying several packs of NI200 coils per week lolol. I have a nice TI build in it now and its working great so far. Today is day 2 on the RBA section so some of the new love is still in place lololol. I hope this helps you out a little bit...

Part of the slight restriction you mention is from the anti-spitback shield in the chimney.

Yes I agree. I actually like that feature. I have had mine do that POP from time to time when it was cranked up and never got that hot juice in the mouth that many people get with other tanks. So far I cannot find anything about this tank or RBA that would drop it down below a rating of 10.

Me either! Whats even worse than hot juice in your mouth is having a piece of gunk coil off a coil and lodge in your throat....OUCH! Had that happen with my Kanger Subtank.

Minga, I hear you brother. Thats another reason why I started moving away from Atlantis style coils. the screen on top is worthless. Well I guess it helps but doesnt stop the hot oil torture treatment you get loloolol

The Beast is a great vape for sure. When VS changed over their coils to the 4 hole air flow design I fell out of love. In the previous version, the two hole design was great. When they went to 4, I needed to close the airflow down futher and then it got into that zone, where the vape was just right but the damn thing whistled. That pissed me off. I tried to replace the base with the two hole base but they were not the same size.
I agree this thread is dangerous to us all but at the same time, I learned a great deal and discovered some awesome devices this way lolol

Aww, you guys rock. I just watched a video on a kanthal 26 gauge .8 ohm build which is where I Vape around. And the British man said it was just lovely.

The deck looks a touch small as he had to lift his coil some so as not to touch screws. I like how the bra base has a seal ring as well as spit guard in tank. He cut his cotton are an angle smaller at top of coil or he said he got dry hits. Very long video and slow, but a few useful tips. I just wonder if it is worth the extra $10 or so over the new style kangertech subtank mini's. I'll view some more rba reviews.

Thanks Vaping Devil. That is kind of you. No rush, but I am curious and Caddisfly told me please not to try tc. due to being relatively new at building and bc I have blonde moments...forgetful., perhaps in time.

That Smok TVF4 looks sexy and quality built as hell. If it had a 22ml. base and I was into temperature control, well hot Damn!

Many new authentic sub ohm tanks at Fasttech now, but not this baby.

Amanda, I Sry. For making you want another tank. Believe it or not it was you who made me decide to pick up a subtank mini so many months ago and for that I say thank you! I was so sick of all the bad coils I kept getting for my nautlius at the time. My goodness the choices now are endless.

Thanks for all your help girls and boys. I truly appreciate it:D

nah just learn to build coils with TC skip kanthal all togther, thats what i did. made for a great ulcer.

If you are happy with your kanger subtank, theres not really any need to switch to another tank . Ti wire, 3mm diameter, 5 wraps, spaced, rayon wicking. TASTES identical to me in flavor as the .5 OCC stock kanthal coils at 20 watts. So if thast what you like and just want to try TC out, go that way.

If you want something with more flavor and there arent many tanks out there that can do much better in flavor than the kanger with a stock coil, the maganus/starre is awesome but you have to get some weird rba deck for it to do TI, that or learn to stuff dual parrallel vertical coils pre wicked back into a used coil. Which I have almost perfected.

But the vapingdevil has me nearly confinced this OBS tank will get me the flavor of my magus with the simplicity of the kanger subtank and be able to just throw a stock ni200 coil in it that tastes as good as the maganus for when i screw up my build on the rba deck.

I mean honestly if I hadnt had this maganus sitting in teh drawer, and @maddcatt vapors wasnt a five minute drive away, and they didnt have th eni200 coils for it in stock, I probably wouldnt be looking to find a tank that tastes better then my kanger subtank. im am still using it. It sits on the IPV 3LI with its Ti coil while the maganus sits on the IPV D2 with its Ni200 coil. And I enjoy switching between them all day long

I have the old version and it is very finicky about its wicking. Old rba deck. I can only use 28 gauge wire. Every try with 26 gauge and terrible dry hits and hot, hot, hot, and leaky. But fine with 28 gauge and pancake style wicking. Is my only tank. Not sure if I purchased new rba deck pro if it would fit., but would be much cheaper.

Ok time to slow down ton the VCT for a moment. I just looked at mine that has been sitting idle on my desk (it has the RBA deck on it) and approx 4 mls of juice has spewed out of it and all over the mod and my desk. Probably something operator related but wanted everyone to know there may be something going on with this. I hate anything that leaks so this really irkes me to no end

LOLOL deal. Looks like it may be coming from one side of the wicks somehow got pushed in allowing juice to flow like water. I will tear it down in a little bit to see WTH is going on. In the meantime, its Billows Time llolol

Ok so yes indeed the wicking on one side pulled in or whatever resulting in liquid just pouring into the coil area and out the airflow holes. This most likely is due to operator error on my part. Either I didnt have enough wicking in there to stay put or maybe some was hanging outside and the shutoff grabbed in and moved the wick causing the same issue. I will take it home and give it a good bath. Juice is all over and inside of the base. I will redo this and see what comes of it but I expect it will be fine. Just something you gotta watch for. Still havent made these things idiot proof. Since they have mastered the over temp problem with TC mods, someone needs to come up with a device that shuts off juice as soon as excessive juice is noted on the base or airflow holes. lololololololol

That should be easy, make the air flow with a valve that only allows air in and nothing out, like a fllap

and since the obs can leak you should just send it to me devil

Hmmm, I can't find that loooonnngggg boring 40 minute video. On the vct build, but I just built a 26 gauge coil .6 ohms and cut the cotton on each side at an angle so it is shorter at the top of coil and only the bottom of wick just touches the rba base. So far it's working awesome. I think that was why he cut it angling in towards coil so when he pushed the base down no wick got in the way and made sure wick covered juice holes, but none was sticking out or I think it pulls it out. Well at least vaping we use our brains more than when we smoked.

I still think ill get that new rba base from sweet vapes, so I can use higher vg juice. Oh I got to try the billow today. :D. A friend of mine. Nice. I batted my eyelashes real good, but he still would not trade:(!

So glad you got to try the billows. It's a tie for me on my fav tank between billows and vct lolol.

I will have to try that wicking. I got mine all cleaned up and it's drying now. I Prob will build it back up tomorrow morning as I have the day off. Do you need me to still try a kanthal build on it ?

Gosh, I hate to ask you to do that, but am curious. I am so wondering about how much change it has from the ni coils in flavor. The one Josh built was .4 ohms out of kanthal and I may be mistaken, but to me the flavor is just as good on the subtank mini I have. I know you like your ti and nickel...the info. Out there is so conflicting. Thank you Devil.

Sounds like I made some good choices then, as got the Billow v2 coming, and the vct already shipped, actually think that will beat the billow here, even though I ordered the billow on Monday.

No problem at all. I can build one up to your earlier specs and see how the flavor is as compared to the titanium in the vct. Anything to help my friends. I will report back tomorrow if that's cool ?
