Personally I believe if we made Government Social Programs such as Immigration, Welfare, Public Education or scholarship programs elective on IRS Forms it would solve the whole argument. Foreign aid to Isreal or other countries should be on the same elective basis.
That way virtue signaling liberals can check a box to volunteer to sponsor a Muslim, Mexican or other immigrant of their very own, pay for their proper vetting, immigration fees, transportation, bring them into their home, feed them, pay for their education, ensure they comply with the law and assimilate into society.
Conservatives can just opt out.
Willing to bet the immigration rates would drop drastically.
Everybody's happy!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the crux of this thing doesn't really have as much to do with Russia than it does to do with Israel.
Basically Flynn tried to get the Russians to change their position on the illegal settlements... Isn't that what we do at the UN, bully and lobby for israel? I'm sure every admin as done the same or far worse.
Saudi Arabia has a first rate intelligence service that has the ability to perform a proper background check on an immigrant. Just so happens they had citizens that supposedly attacked us on 9-11 (in reality our own administration was responsible along with Mossad) and most recently in Vegas (there is some debate as to whether it was the MS-13 guys in paddocks room buying the guns off him that fired into the crowd after missing the shots taken at Trump at the airport or the Saudi hit squad trying to assassinate the prince who took the live fire shots into the crowd). Perhaps they will make the list when & if the truth is ever told.

My concern is that Russia does seem to be 'weaponizing' the internet to a degree.

They seem to be taking a longer term view/plan than our govt is capable of.
A flat tax of 10% with an IRS form listing every government agency that wants funding. Not just social programs. DOD, FBI, EPA, CIA, FDA.
It would have to be a priority based choosing method so if an agency becomes fully funded, your money goes to the next or #2 on the list and so on. It would also have to have a method to completly opt out of any of your money going to programs or agencies that you do not want to fund at all.
No borrowing to fund unfunded/underfunded agencies.
Congress is supposed to handle stuff like that(who gets what $$) but I believe Congress' has shown it is unable to perform this task so it falls on we the people to do it for them.
If the crooked CIA or other agency doesn't get enough to operate, too fucking bad. Shut it down. If their isn't enough that went to fund Congresscritter pay, too fucking bad, you just got a pay cut.
