So how is everybody doing this evening? Tired as a Monday can do to you here~!
Well our Monday was slightly eventful. Wife took me for my fortnight testosterone shot. She then needed blood work done she's put off a year. She hates needles
that much. Thought we might go get new tires and have them balanced yesterday but she decided it will wait until Thursday. Instead she got a hair cut as a treat for herself and then we went to our local Pondarosa. I had one thin slice of meatloaf and four barbecue meatballs, carrots. Had a bit of a desert assortment, red velvet cake that wasn't, two little pieces of bread pudding, chocolate pie, some lemon graham cracker stuff. Me and her both realized everything they were serving on the buffet come off a Standard Foods truck. It was all edible but rather bland, generic.
Told her I didn't mind her putting the tires off until Thursday because at least it was being done. I pulled a slightly concerned husband card about a month ago. "You know, I was looking at a couple of tires on your car." She sighed knowing what I was hinting at. "Can you maybe get a new set of back ones in the next three months," I asked her. She told me it made sense to just go on and get a full set all the way around. I thought on that just a few seconds and agreed. I'm getting tired of her driving along and getting a 'check tire pressure' warning. Possibly, a new set will help mitigate that. Besides the car hasn't had anything done tire wise for the two years it's been new to us. I figure when they pull 'em off the brakes will be checked as well, protocol for the Jeep dealership. Pays to use my kidney.
I don't suspect the brakes are in terrible shape. Point being though I'd rather be aware of the shape they're in. I know she takes excellent care of her vehicles and usually likes to go do stuff she can to save shop costs. I could put breaks on with her dad as back up. At the same time I have a tiny sense of self doubt and rather let someone under contract do what they do all the time. I don't put brakes on all the time, or wrench on cars. Although my brother and I did put a new alternator in one of hers. *chuckles* We both got fooled as to how it sat in the motor, boy was it a pain in the buttocks. We got it despite that.
Also went over to the school board and applied for a county service job as "substitute" janitor for the schools. it's a pay for work kind of job. Allegedly though county pays for insurance. They'll call but I'll be one of the last ones or last one called to come in to work. They keep a pool on hand to cover the regulars. And there's no strikes against you if you are unable to go in on a short notice call in. So yeah, I applied. Not sure if I'll have a job or not. Not sure if I'm in the pool or not, but at least I applied. *sighs* Guess time will out.
And now, think a Cobb salad, table grapes and the rest of the flavored carbonated water from yesterday for breakfast. Got some cookies yesterday, might have a few chewy chip ones. Then, I don't know what the day will bring. I'll probably play some Shishen-Sho. Yay.
