Today appears the only day of this three day weekend to get any weed eating done. Might head out here in a little. It'll be a bit before she wakes & wants to go do laundry. Agree with your idea though, need some coffee.

Had something pointed out by my work partner. Mentioned wanting the original artisan to resize my wedding band. "Ben, how long ago was it you got those rings?"

"Twenty one years."

"Dave may be dead."

Which is indeed a valid point. The partner then also said, "you and me both know rings don't make you married."

I wore mine the first five years non-stop. After that my finger grew and arthritis set in. The ring was literally trying to cut my finger off. Wife told me she wouldn't have me wear it, if it caused that much physical pain, distress. Told her I wanted to keep wearing it but she said it was okay.

I never have worn any jewelry. They were lucky I wore dog tags. I seldom ever wear a hat. Though come Winter I might wear a watch cap/toboggan. Do not wear watches either & seldom carry a pocket knife. When I do carry a pocket knife it's usually some "throw away".

Not ever been one for any of the fancy stuff.

I am starting to think I may not be able to cut the lawns today since right now it is raining and pretty hard at that~!

So since it is raining hard I know I won't be doing the lawns for a while if at all, so I washed the Kitchen and Dinette Floors. Once it dries I will give it an Acrylic Coating.

Acrylic Coating is applied so now just have to wait for it dry and bring furniture back in.

Well, I got a good portion of the weed eating I wanted done, done. Come in and fixed myself a Healthy Choice sweet & sour chicken steamer bowl. Passed out for about an hour. Still waiting on her to get up, so we can go do laundry & do a little shopping. She's always been a non-morning person.

So I went outside thinking WTH the Landscapers work in the rain but gave up after using the blower around the shed. Gave a section of Vinyl Siding a wash with some bleach so it looks nice for tomorrow. Going to wait a little while to see if the rain lets up.

Just about all kinds. Today I ate off some of the Iris flower fronds. They've all bloomed for the year so it's safe to trim, them down to regrow next year. We had some pretty peach colored, purple, white ones this year.

I eat some plantain as well as Johnson grass, some honeysuckle, some sumac, ivy, generic pasture tuft grass. Don't really bother stopping to ask it what kind of weed it is before my Sthil whizzes it off.

Can end up looking like a butt high West Virginia jungle if I let it go. Some of it can even get about six feet high. Would really like to cultivate some bamboo. Though I'd not do it here. Not my/our place.

So it was only drizzling and I said WTH I am going to try cutting the lawns. Blew the walks and started cutting the backyard. Skies opened up and I got soaked~! So back to the waiting game.

I've been blessed with a few dry days between the rain. Trying like hell to get that patio done, so wish it hadn't rained on everything. Got the pea gravel down in the joints on around half of it. Just in case it decided to rain or something. Hoping it keeps the pavers in place and a bit of weight on the sand to keep it from washing out again.

What sucks is since the sand is mostly down just washed away uneven I can't really dig it back out and place pipes for screed runners. I mean I guess I could, anything is possible though sounds like a nightmare. So adding more sand and smoothing it with a trowel and raking it over the surface with a board by eye I have no real point of reference. Ended up pulling every fricken brick and started with one, then used that as a reference laying each successive paver. Just trying to level them as I go, keep my downhill grade for runoff. It's been a chore. Sometimes just how my projects go. "Oh, sounds simple enough". Reality rears its ugly head and says 'what's the least efficient most fantastic time suck of a way? For this is the path you'll be taking'.

Got a bit sunburnt but got the rest of the pavers up, the sand smoothed, they're all level. Well all except one I think I need to add just a tad more sand to, it's dipped down a little at the top edge compared to its neighbors. Hopefully good to go for tomorrow, all that's left is to finish spacing them and lining them up, then add the pea gravel and hopefully be done. Kinda tired of this game now, I'd like to do something else this month. lol.

So I have been working my butt off since 8AM this morning. Have the backyard all set up and now one last thing is to clean the bathroom and shower up. Then I will have a Bloody Mary and relax a bit before I start cooking. Going to precook the Chicken Wingettes so I can just heat them up when time to eat.

Finally got the patio done. Still need to pick up around there and get rid of the extra dirt and shit. Got the grill assembled for the most part too but was dark by the time that happened so no pics of the grill. Have to finish sealing it, clean it and spray it down then season it.

Ha ha ha! The perks of being county & state employees, we got today off. It's even a paid day off, even if I wasn't scheduled to work.

Of course, I will likely be doing some more weed eating today. I also need to go get my testosterone shot, see my talk therapist, wife is going to Jeep place for oil change and brake job. Yep we got sh*t to do, ye ha.

I fell again Saturday. It happened at the same place. This time I just "went with it" and didn't torque anything or break anything. I was going slow and "being careful", still went down face first off the step. Told my wife I might want to go get checked out, it's twice in 9 months I've "spilled" the same exact way.

It also may be that the step is lain out wrong. Though if it were others would be falling, you'd think. So then that leaves room for possibility that my equilibrium is off kilter. Yay, joy of joys and that would be no real surprise. *smh* Always something.

I LOVE this thread. I've spent hours going back through the months and seasons in it. None more fun than this one, but I don't understand something. I have tried and tried to post a pic on my post on page 263 of this thread. It won't take. It just shows the line filling up, as if it's loading properly, then I just see the trash bin icon. People have posted all sorts of images with moving parts, dancing cats, big splashy pics, and my modest little photo, 640 pixels tall, 460 pixels wide, won't go in. Anybody have a tip?
