if he existed that is, i mean after 2000 years you would have thought there would have been one thing, they tried the shroud of turin ..nothing.they said the old boat on the mountain side was noahs arc.untill they found pop rivets in it. i have seen many signs saying no bible bashers but never a sign saying welcome! now put your hard hat on and prepare for the barrage thats going to come so in finishing i am only saying i dont believe in it i am not not saying nobody should not believe.okies bullet proof vest on buddy and will see you after the robot attack, take care mark, i had a decent response for my cancer when they did my blood change but i am still on 23 tablets a day and a needle every 3 days. hey thats life buddy, we will both keep on fighting it. stay strong my friend.

I don’t need a bulletproof vest, hard hat, etc. I do not and will not disrespect or attack anyone for their beliefs or disbeliefs. I will simply state my beliefs not having any expectations of others.

Quietly walks out the door.

*steps over, opens door & puts a wedge in it to ensure it stays open*

Hopefully my stating some disbelief was not seen as an attack or disrespectful. That was not intended if so and I apologize. One thing I do hold of value as an American is the right for everyone to express their belief, or lack of belief. Even went voluntarily to defend that right once. Still feel the exact same way.

No one needs any permission from me to believe as they choose. They can state their belief. They might even say it works out for them. I'm alright with that. If and when they tell me I must believe their way, excuse me, need to take a walk. You can what you want. I can choose to not hear what I want, too.

Seems to be a bit of nudging, maybe some outright pushing going on lately. Can see objectively it comes from both sides of this coin. None of us are wrong, none of us right. There's no altering beliefs by debate, talking, arguing. No point escalating further than such either. Violence for any religion, cause, belief is stupid at this point.

There is the capability to do this.

"We can agree to disagree yet still retain our respect of one another. Now, let us change the subject and move forward. Thanks."

My wife's grandfather I worked intimately close at times. He knew I'm Agnostic. He felt I ought to be Christian. I felt he ought to try agnosticism. We agreed that we respected each other. Religion never really got brought up too much among us. Sometimes I reminded him of scripture, sometime he me. We still got along fine.

Can agree with you in regard to lack of empirical evidence. There is more evidence for the Bible & Christianity having been the Jews in employ of Romans having written the Bible, than proving a specific Christian Jesus existed. There is more suggesting Jesus as Christians know him is just Mitra, or Mithra as the West know him repurposed as an icon.

This aside I have to also agree that wisdom can be found even in fairy tales. The Christian Bible holds a lot of wisdom, which ought not be cast aside lightly with the rubbish in it. Sometimes you go through darkness to bring out the light. Don't fear learning more in order to understand how the wisdom gets hidden in the Bible. Parable, metaphor, riddles often can encode some of the most profound lessons.

Life can too. That's why it's beneficial to live, return to studies and repeat. Again, back to balance I cling. Moderation even in moderation. Sometimes I go to extremes. It's usually in equal amounts though. *chuckles* Another good read for some wisdom? Aesop's Fables elucidate a lot for being simple tales ascribed by a slave.

Here when I've just gotten all flustered with our holiday plans, I read you saying "moderation in moderation." Dammit BB. My brain is twisted in knots already, and here you are saying shit like that.

I'm going to watch The Polar Express and probably eat a doughnut. F'it.

Good afternoon Porch goers

10 CRITICAL Things to Remember During the Holidays

1.
Always choose love. Just remember that the people that are the hardest to love are the ones that need it the most.

2. Be love, instead of right.

3. Everyone is doing the best they can with the “tools” they have at the moment (many just don’t have the “tools”)

4. Forgive, let go and move forward. Do it for yourself.

5. Stop trying to control people (what they should say or do and how they should behave, etc.)

6. Stay away from discussing politics or vaccines (that never ends well). If the conversation does go there, just revert to #2 above. :)

7. Take the time to do something nice for someone else (without expecting anything in return)

8. Reach out. This is a difficult time for many (especially those that have lost loved ones and those that are alone), so remember to reach out to them and shower them with your love.

9. Focus on what's important. RELATIONSHIPS—that is the most important "thing" in our lives. Don't neglect, ignore, or dismiss the people who mean the most to you. Life is short. They won't always be there.

10. Choose love, love, love (worth repeating). It’s really the answer to everything. Period (mic drop). :)

quite a few of those are right my friend, how about...just because some people see things differently it does not mean they are bad

*hugs* I sorry. Enjoy your movie & doughnut. :)

Got ourselves a "new" Roku box today. It's the Ultra LT model which runs about $80 but Wally World had it slashed to $35 today. Has the added features of voice controls & private listening. Set up was a snap. Loaded all the stuff we had put on the "old" one, all info filled in from the Roku "cloud".

Mornin', hope it's well for all. We faring to middlin' 'ere. Got a bath basket & a bath sheet towel for gifts. In the basket one of those handy back washing cloth with the string handles.

Ask my wife if that was a subtle hint to bathe. She explained it wasn't but rather just a practical gift, given I really had no desire for any gift. She said I was difficult to gift for. I chuckled and said, "look who's talking."

This is why we usually give each other hugs and a hard time. Neither of us have any driving, absolutely have to have desires. We're both well grounded and both will get what we do want, or let go of the want if it's too costly.

Sure I buy some nice to nicer vape gear. She gets her yarn, nail stuff, little bit fancier under garments. Neither of us really go too far out of line in our getting stuff. We both agree we want a better state of living. All we can do is muddle along, try to save and try getting there.

So, ... *returns to stillness*

This year, for the first time in a really long time, hubbs actually told me something he wanted for Christmas, something I could find and afford. A while back I ordered him two pairs of bib overalls off the Dickies website.

Tomorrow the Dickies bib overalls are going back, and I've ordered him one pair of Red Kaps off Amazon. Those Dickies fit ok around the waist, although a little big, but the legs on them? Omg, they were like stovepipe legs, absolutely huge right below the butt. They were freaky looking.

If this pair of Red Kaps work out better, I'll order him another pair. He's lost so much weight, we are having to replace all his clothes, and he's so funny about spending money, sometimes I have to just order stuff for him whether he admits he wants/needs it or not.

About ten days ago he sent me an Amazon gift card, so I picked out a knit open-front cardigan (navy blue), a glass tea pitcher with the neatest seal-or-pour lid, and another, smaller insulated tumbler. My RTIC was just about worn out and besides, it was just too big (30 ounces). My new tumbler is 20 ounces and is much easier all round to handle.

I also found a really great deal at Macy's on some mink plush blankets, so I got one for my son, youngest daughter, and myself, and I found them on sale again yesterday, so I ordered two more. They are Ralph Laurens. I don't normally get all twisted up about brands and such, but almost 20 years ago I ordered RL towels from Macy's, and those things look as good today as they did the day I got them. Well, the blankets are awesome, and if they hold up like the towels did, I'll be a happy camper. If you need a blanket, you should take a look at these (if you live in a cold-ish climate). I didn't order one for my oldest daughter because it never gets cold enough in Savannah to use something this warm on the bed. These are an absolute steal, though.

There are separate listings for twin size and king size.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

Interesting morning here so far~! Started out on the phone for Mom and have been on Amazon buying stuff with my Free Prime 30 Day Trial. I had a shipping envelope with N95 Masks that Mom did something with and I can't find them now. So I bought a bunch of them and decided since Mom is watching more TV in the Living Room I would take advantage of After Christmas Sales and Upgrade the TV. Bought a Samsung AU8000 4K 2160p UHD Smart LED TV with HDR. Saved almost 1/3 on a $500 TV. Now just waiting for the mount to get here and we will be watching the Ball Fall in Ultra Hi Def~!

morning buddy. 1.30am here, just could not sleep. take it easy mate
It sucks not being able to sleep ! I have tendinitis in my ears and use ear buds listening to thunder and rain to fall asleep, it's a PITA. When the high pitch isn't happening, I'm so use to listening to the thunder and rain, I still have to use them to fall asleep.
