So I am having a great "early Christmas"... we had to do this yesterday because it was the only day we could do it (and we all had a really good time) This was yesterday and still continuing today (all is well) but I kinda embarrassed to mention this... but (the cold weather, I'm 61 and having bladder control issues) There was a time I had 10 minutes to get to a bathroom... now it's 5 minutes. Thank god nobody was here (they went out to eat) I'm glad I didn't go. I almost made it LOL. Do I really need those "depends" diapers?" I'm fine but really folks... it's getting worse (with the cold weather) I'm sorry I even mentioned this but if anyone has some advice... I have to go every 20 minutes. But... at least I go (have a friend with the prostate issue so it could be worse) Vaping on the back porch... and in a great mood.

I’m right there with you on age but afraid I don’t have any sage advice or recommendations.

Isometric exercises focusing on abs. This helps regain control via the pressure of your muscles. Kegel exercises may also provide help in the same way.

Also you might consider not drinking anything an hour before retiring to slumber. If you got excess fluid internally it will make you cold at night. That'll get you up to urinate & more often during a night. That's a bit of bush craft survival experience, advice.

Of course, all standard disclaimers apply. Take or leave fwiw asking idiots on the web internet medical advice. And yep can own up to being an idiot at times, way too much i don't know.

I had problems at night with having to get up and pee, would happen 4 or 5 X a night. I read an article on drinking a glass of organic lemon water before bed to slow it up and now I am only up once or twice, don't know if that will help you but it's sure worth a try. Do you normally drink a lot of water or do you drink a lot of other stuff? Some things make you pee more. I am old too, 70. That's all I can add to what Mist said

my problem was the opposite. i would be up for a pee 3 or 4 times, i was hoping i would make it. when i got to the toilrt..nothing came out 5 mins later same thing. eventually they found out that the tube from bladder to dick was narrowed. camera dow eye then a needle that they pressed and it widened the tube. first pee was a 15 min one lol. but it is a lousy thing busting but nothing coming out.

Flomax can be prescribed by any GP. Not sure why they saw a need to be invasive. Although, may have been you had injured something which needed physically mended. As I said, I don't know everything.

I was on Flomax for a bit. It specifically helps relieve urethral stricture by making the urethra expand itself, opening from say a pinhole to a fire hose size. Had some minor urology issues, got past that and come off the medicine.

No, don't think I had an STI/STD. Think I had pulled a few muscles inadvertently & the medicine helped while they got over being inflamed. It was right around the time I got more active by taking my current work on. Besides which I'm sure a bit of general stress was no help.

Have been playing "techno hell" for a couple days (and I'm generally good with techno) Trying to get a bedroom TV and Roku device to work (it works, then loses signal, then works....) We have wifi and an extender. Re-did all that and it worked. My son gave me a tip... get into the Roku settings... Bingo! This entire time it was trying to use the main modem/router wifi (has to go through 6 walls and a closet door) Set it up to use the extender and all is well. Then (so ironic) as I went out back to celebrate my techno victory, my mod wacked out (of course) Shows battery 2/3 full, shows resistance at 0.83 ohms (correct) but when I hit the fire button, the screen blinks (which would mean an open or short circuit but why does it show correct resistance?) Anyway... did the logical thing and gently smacked it on the patio table... now it works fine LOL.
Technology is a mixed blessing.

Don't you just love Technology? I am a Network Engineer and before I just wanted Amazon's Alexa to turn on the light~! Had to go through rebooting and reconfiguration twice before that Biotch would connect to the WiFi again. Not like I don't know what to do more of why the Fuck is it not working~! Working now for the time being~!

Because of my low income, we qualified for an assistance program through the local utility company. They replaced the back porch light with this high tech POS. Motion sensor, light sensor... but it drives me nuts! Have to wave my arms and if I walk to the back porch fridge, have to wave them again. Light sensor doesn't work until it's really dark (yes... I've messed with the adjustments) I saved the old one (it's going right back on) They added insulation to the attic... nice but then the utility inspector said they blocked the airflow vents. They had to come back and fix that, then the inspector had to re-check the work (each time, we had to empty the closet of a bunch of stuff for access to the attic) They added some thing to the AC that keeps the fan running longer when you turn it off (too long... thanks for nothing) They changed a perfectly fine thermostat for a fancy one that turns out has known issues (had to swap that back) They did offer all new LED light bulbs (that's totally cool) but we had just replaced all of them with LEDs anyway. I wish we had never even applied for the "assistance" program. Oh well... at least we did get 14 inches of attic insulation but all the techno do-dads were not needed and will end up getting swapped for the original stuff (we saved it all thank god) OH... and the replaced the front door weather stripping (that was fine... we had upgraded it already) Now the front door won't stay closed (the wind makes it open and it might be wide open for hours before we notice... so much for saving energy) Have to use the deadbolt now to keep it closed.

Some have the dual flush in California due to the frequent droughts. Minimum wage is $15 in some states here and lots got laid off and replaced with order taker kiosks at fast food joints. It used to be $7.50 so something had to give, either raise prices or go robot. Network engineers get good money.

My thoughts on technology
👍 DQ was the best (sort of pricey back in the day but top quality) We had one right around the corner.
I seem to have the upper hand on techno (for now...) Hey, I remember when you actually had to get your ass off the chair and walk up to the TV (even before the first remotes that we called "clickers" because they worked off sound clicks (volume and channel up/down) The good ol days.

Bamphomet is something rather different. That Baphomet is used as a symbol of Satanism really strikes a lot of old Satanists as being purely laughable. Such a gesture only proves out how damn stupid newer Satanists are. And its use as Satanic symbol also shows the stupidity of ever fearful Christians as well.

Baphomet represents balance. That's it, that's all. I can illustrate the same thing with three arches.

All of these are simply rendering of a concept, balance. You can cross this to Kabalism with the Tree of Life. Three pillars with two the same height and one taller are in all forms of society, in various societies.

It can also be found in the Christian Bible as something Christ is asked about. He is asked how to live as he does. He explains he walks the narrow path and there are three paths.

Everything in life has polarities. Even we as energy in flesh have polarity. We can be light or dark, positive or negative, good or bad and so on. A third way exists though.

Be whole. Stay balanced, neutral. This is all Baphomet represents too. So it's really hilarious seeing all the dust up portraying Baphomet as this terrible, horrendous, oh so highly evil image of Satanism. It is anything but.

That business with the baphomet in Illinois is just stupid, if you ask me. It's an attention-grab, like something a little kid would do just for the shock value. Best thing to do is ignore it.

Yep, pretty much the sum of it really. "Oh. look at me I'll expresses something that gets misinterpreted to garner controversy & attention." *smh*

So washing the kitchen and dinette floors before Mop and Glowing it, I knocked the bucket down the stairs by the side door. Not a big deal since my stairs to the basement are very clean but I got the door mat by the side door wet and decided to wash it. Did it by hand in the slop sinks and tried to dry it for a bit in the dryer. Big Mistake~! It wasn't clean enough so I got dirt and stuff in the dryer. Had to take the dryer apart to clean it really well and decided I haven't cleaned the exhaust in a long time so it would be a good idea. Good thing because there was enough to clog the hose in the vacuum. So now I have a totally clean dryer with no lint in any spots. I took the vent out and cleaned it like brand new. Out of something bad comes something good as long as you look at it that way.

I personally have a bit of disdain for Religion. Actually, from reading the Bible, Jesus didn’t have much regard for the Pharisees.

He especially disdained usury & lending of money. The Pharisees from what I've come to understand were likely among some of the first bankers & loan sharks. Ponder a brief bit on our current bankers & loan sharks. Can we tell them apart?

Don't love, or worship money in any form here. Given what we have, yes, it helps us get by. It isn't our be all, end all though. That would be our hope/s & faith in our love, our love. Twenty one years in April, guess we're doing something right. Don't figure we'll change.

Can agree with you in regard to lack of empirical evidence. There is more evidence for the Bible & Christianity having been the Jews in employ of Romans having written the Bible, than proving a specific Christian Jesus existed. There is more suggesting Jesus as Christians know him is just Mitra, or Mithra as the West know him repurposed as an icon.

This aside I have to also agree that wisdom can be found even in fairy tales. The Christian Bible holds a lot of wisdom, which ought not be cast aside lightly with the rubbish in it. Sometimes you go through darkness to bring out the light. Don't fear learning more in order to understand how the wisdom gets hidden in the Bible. Parable, metaphor, riddles often can encode some of the most profound lessons.

Life can too. That's why it's beneficial to live, return to studies and repeat. Again, back to balance I cling. Moderation even in moderation. Sometimes I go to extremes. It's usually in equal amounts though. *chuckles* Another good read for some wisdom? Aesop's Fables elucidate a lot for being simple tales ascribed by a slave.
