Spent money here Monday. Then spent money here today. Woo-hoo

Sent from a pile of wood chips

Ya know here lately it seems me and wife are having that strange money stuff. Not complaining merely observing. It might actually feel nice. :)

Today, I built a 26 awg Kanthal A1 coil for the Trinity RDA clone. It ought to come out to around a .40 ohm coil. Though I'd not swear to it because I been seeming to wind up 0.22 ohm coils like some kind of strange mystical mistakes.

Well it's a .55 exactly. No complaint there either, least it's not a .22. :)

Reckon so, reckon so. :) You might get a chuckle. You realize eunuch servers bring y'all the androids, too. :)
Think android runs in my Kindles.
But those aren't the droids you are looking for?

not familiar with how androids operate.
left the bleeding edge of the eunuch world and such about 20 years ago and just went into software testing for Verizon after that.

but up till then I worked on some of the baddest servers that Sun could make at the time. Failover clusters and everything.

had to even retro learn how to interface them to IBM mainframe systems (dinosaurs) that still had a lot of the older Verizon systems on them. I had kind of skipped around IBM mainframes up till then. But had dabbled in COBOL and such other archaic languages.

Kinda skipped around Linux proper but if one can do UNIX they can certainly do Linux. rusty on it right now though. Dabbling back in C++ though on little Arduino MCU's and such though.

Yes, if you can run Unix you can run Linux. It can almost work in reverse too. There's a little difference which "hangs" you up but not much. It's all mostly C at it's core and recalling that helps. C is the grandfather of Java which runs Android operating systems properly, and that Java runs on Linux/Unix servers.Well actually it's Telcom style (Like Astrix, Mintel, Satcom, DALpak) software but the Linux/Unix combo run that.

Yep Astrix = AT&T, MinTel = MCI, SatCom = Verzon, DALpak = Sprint.

Also 99% quite factually, of the Inter-Web's servers are some form of Linux/Unix. And IBM now owns Red Hat Linux though it is still Red Hat Linux. My former boyfriend wanted me to try learning COBOL. I did try but I kept getting lost, it seemed to lack basic functionality to me. Then again I'm not used to functioning with databases, spreadsheets.

And no him suggesting COBOL isn't what made him a former boyfriend. He found another gentleman near him that decided to move in when he got a cold. I still love my former boyfriend and am happy he's got someone else too. :) He needs that. I hate kind of being stuck in a way in my life. But my former boyfriend would never ask me to leave my wife, and I wouldn't anyway. :)

Sometimes I like a wife, other times I like a husband, still other times I tell them both to get lost. *chuckles* So yes, as I've said I'm the only stranger I know. *grin*

Is it for the GNU fans?

Yes it's for the GNU crowd. If I kept my system clean of all proprietary software even Debian is GNU/Linux. And the popular distribution of Ubuntu is based upon Debian. Red Hat though marketed a bit differently is still at it's core a version of GNU Linux. Red Hat spawned Fedora, CentOS. And Red Hat as possibly mentioned earlier is now part of IBM (International Business Machines, "International Blue Men").

All of these are some form of GNU/Linux. Red Hat has a "business" or "enterprise" edition which offers paid pro help services. The rest allow you to hack, or go find hacks yourself. I might know someone who created a free version of proprietary graphics drivers for instance. They did this by reverse engineering the code from the company, then rewriting that code more efficiently in a different programming language.

Such a thing is normally immoral and unethical. Given the company was going to charge individual users fees of $100+ for "subscription" updates to their software, those gloves were sat aside. I'm sure that person felt bad in doing so. yet felt good when a master hacker commented their code released freely was a "good hack". They did it not for accolades, fortune but to rather save exploitation of users. Sometimes the "greater good" is what is "just" and correct.

I made the joke, since it’s not Unix! :teehee:

I will alias you.

alias @Rhianne="jester"

$ whatis jester
$ A silly joker.

:)

Just fished trimming up / down a wick in the Trinity US1 clone. I was trying to seemingly double wick a single coil set up. It was too juicy a vape so in trimming it up I took the load of juice off and increased efficiency and efficacy of the coil. At times even the simple little things help. :)

Excuse me going to look at some house porn. Yep, fished a cup o' Joe, a Maxwell Folgers blend of "sawdust".

Sorry, my dad makes bad jokes like that all the time. I grew up listening to his silly jokes. Guess it rubbed off on me.

So yes, I’m a silly jester!

My Pap, Uncle Buddy were droll and often used puns to punish us.

Uncle Buddy's girl Charlene sat at a dinner table once, reached out grasping at something unseen. She brought her hand back and peek inside. "I caught it," she exclaimed. Pap and uncle Buddy grinned. Charlene sat there "holding" something as she ate. Grandma couldn't resists. She demanded Charlene show her what she caught. Charlene told grandma if she opened her hand it would get away. This stirred grandma to be more adamant in wanting to see "it".

Finally Charlene relented and held her hand over to grandma. She told her to watch for it to dart away quick. Grandma swore she would. Charlene opened her fist and revealed an empty palm. Grandma fussed Charlene never had anything. Charlene explained, "well Grandma, I had a handful of air until you asked to see it." Pap, me, Buddy all sat chuckling. We knew what was going on, had read it from a mile off.

That was our family's humor, and worse. :) *hugs*

Yesterday I vaped a lot, sent out some vape mail, vaped some more and checked tracking on incoming vape mail, vaped some more, ordered more flavors from BCF while vaping a lot.

So far today, vaped a lot, resisted the temptation of ordering from China, drooled in the hardware section (I'll clean that up later :p ), drank coffee while vaping a lot. It's still early.

I vaped. Helped someone trying to get into building coils. Ruined a person's day by explaining colored vape clouds are only photoshopped, not due to colored ejuice. Refreshed my stagnant china orders. Bitched on the chinese forums, again. Basically same as yesterday. lol.

I got one of my Sourcemore orders. I went a bit crazy buying HTF stuff that’s a bit old nowadays, but if we won’t be able to get gear with Deeming now, I’d rather have it.

Yep, and I vaped a lot. Lol On an old/new Aspire K3. My nose is totally stuffed up now due to allergies, but it’s easy to vape.

Ouch, I'd say that hurts more than @SnapDragon NY's stepping on a piece of Clapton wire.

Me, I'm gonna vape, then vape some more. I'll also do some mixing as I'm getting low.

I haven't found Clapton wire with my feet, but I've found SEVERAL strands of round 26ga. I put it in the trash can, and somehow it crawls right out of there and lies in wait.

The other day I burnt my fool self, actually touched a coil while it was heating up, which happened when I accidentally pressed the fire button. Numbskull. The damn mod is supposed to be off until you're ready for it to be on. Jeez Louise.

Rewicked an iJoy Captain Elite RTA this morning first thing.

Received a beautiful polished stainless Hohm Slice mod from @gadget! yesterday, and a few new building tools from Amazon. Found this useful-looking set of pliers/snips with girly-colored handles for a great price:

with my foot- ouch!

That bastige! Bet that teaches him to not just lay around! Low life deadbeat wire, you ought to toss him out on his alloy.

We need to mount an unfuck itself campaign on this Eeeeeevil wire.

Yes I too have gotten wired. Feet, thumbs. Even got a bout of blood poison dealing with it. Despite my poking fun, know it's not fun poked by wire.

I don't build on mech mods! I might be wild and crazy, walking around here in my bare feet, but I don't wanna blow the place up!!!

"You're gonna blow your face off!" Every time I build for a mechanical mod, the wife tells me. I chuckle, "At least I'd be enjoying what I was doing, huh?"

And I don't try to build directly onto mechanical mods. Usually I build on a TAB or something regulated first. Well, if I have built on a mechanical like the Vindicator I do so with no battery in place. But I try not to even do that.

I ain't skeered. I just have a very healthy respect. Well except for Noisy Crickets. I'm skeered of them.

Likewise!!!!

When I first started vaping, I got into coil building after just a couple or 3 months.... and there was this one mod I just LOVED... but was terrified of it, called the Valkyrie. The thing is just farkin beautiful.

valkyrie.jpg

But it's a hybrid. And, there's no well whatever, which was really the break point for me; I've always liked RDAs, but there's gotta be SOME well so you don't have to re-drip for every hit. And those hybrid beasts terrify me.

Mixing is done, got a wild hair and decided to make some coils and recoil some RDAs that hadn't been changed in a while. Nothing fancy just some 2x26/36 N80 6/5 wraps.

Those are beautiful coils. At some point I hope to afford some tools and learn how to make my own. Right now I do the pen hack to make twisted coils. They are okay but not as good as fused claptons or aliens. I try to avoid Chinese factory coils. Yeah those are nice.

I'm very familiar with the Valkyrie, not because I've ever had one, but because for years I thought it was about the prettiest thing I'd ever laid eyes on. So you and I agree on yet another obscure thing! :) I might actually consider trying one now, if I ran across one somewhere.

I have a couple of hybrid tube mechs, this Vindicator I've been vaping today, and a Timekeeper. All my other tubes have regular 510 pins in them. I like the Vindicator because it has a constant contact switch. Doesn't SOUND like it would be safer, but I bet it is.

What's even worse is that my favorite local vapeshop has always had that black Valkyrie in stock... so I could see it in person, and even hold the lovely thing (and the feel is just as gorgeous as the sight!)... but that was how I discovered the total lack of well. *sigh* I used a Magma for a while when I first switched from kayfuns to RDAs, and it holds about a ml-ish, then I got turned on to the Achilles, which holds like 2.5ml, and is so beautifully tight, saturated flavor and TH, I never wanted to use anything else. But I still think that Valkyrie is the most beautiful mod I've ever seen.

I've got a couple of mech tubes, in my vapocalypse stash; both are pretty good looking too, a Galileo and a Fallen Angel -- both telescoping which was important to me when I bought them, I used a Sigelei zmax flat-top then, and sometimes used 18350 batteries... but I don't know if those are even still around anymore, and probably none that are high-CDR.

But unless I just have to because our fucking stupid gov't manages to destroy vaping, i'd really rather use regulated mods, so the hit stays the same from first hit to last.

I started this year. I can make fused claptons but haven't tried anything else. I've neglected my drill for a while now but need to keep at it. I want to try alien wraps and framed coils at some point.

I just got a drill, swivels, and wire. I set up the drill on a table and spun away. You can do it!

Yeah, those pitiful mAh ratings are what finally weaned me off 18350s. I'm totally spoiled by nearly 3 full days from the 30Qs, at my 10w/2A vaping. :) Even my very oldest 30Qs, now about 3 yrs old, still give me 2 full days PLUS.

Andria
At the wattage you vape you could get up to several hours more vaping time out of the Sanyo NCR18650GA, when compared to the Samsung 30Q. But then, I guess there's not that much point in choosing the former, when, after all, you're already getting more than 2 full days with the latter, anyway in the first place so... I can't really imagine why anyone would factually need more still.

Although the difference is quite slender in both price and mAh, the 30Qs are a little cheaper, and 3000mAh really is a very long-lasting battery, the way I vape. I trust Samsung batteries, having used them almost since I started, and having had very good luck and no problems with them. And although I don't get anywhere near the 30Q's 15A, there have been a few occasions when my mod got set to some much-higher setting while riding in my purse, and I didn't notice till I took a hit and went GAH! :D It's nice to have that little extra bit of safety.

I had a Maxo. I had it turned off and woke up one morning and it was auto firing. At the time I did some searches on the internet and it seems that is a common problem. My point being if you have a Maxo be very careful.

Put new coils in a Reload RTA clone I got from FT some months ago. Should have put my own coils in it to start with. Two SS 26ga round, 3mm, ohms at 0.26, vaping great at a surprisingly low wattage - only 32W. I had it up higher, but the vapor was pretty hot, so down down down it went!

I filled the RTA with some Backyard Vanilla and the flavor is outstanding. Also no leaking this time, thank heavens.

Tonight I will be making some Killer coils and some Serial Killer coils. I have some vapemail coming Monday ( thanks BX10R) and I'll need a pair of Serial Killers for my Elite RDA to go on a Saga series mod.

I got the name wrong, I was thinking of the Maxus 100W by Freemax. It just came out, afaik.

Thanks for the warning!
