This is what Yosen sent me when I was asking them questions about the improvements to the chip.

View attachment 9475

Ahaha, they have sent that to everyone .. from the looks of things is appears that Yosen has increased the voltage output by 1v, and added the power lock function and probably lowered the typical current output. I hope they didn't mess it up by trying to "improve it". I don't have a problem with the first chip *shrugs*

Anyhoo, I received my Gold Special Edition sleeve today from FC, it comes in blister packaging unlike the sleeves that I received directly from Yosen. Although you still have to DIY press the sleeves though. I will post some insanely gratuitous porn later :D

So far so good.. It does feel like it has a punch which doesn't bother me..
Ordered this from FC which they said its the "2nd batch" but the 510 connection is still slightly bigger..
Can't say much about the chip... the ohm is off about 0.1-0.2 and the options are still the 5x lock and left to right mode..
Love feel of the button.. Overall I think its worth it:)

Ugh............................Still waiting for mine. (head desk)

Ugh .. but it was shipped right? Or are you in that 3rd batch? One other person on ECF posted that they got theirs too.

Ohms higher or lower by .1-.2? I notice that my Zero's round down, not up on resistance meter. If my ohm meter reads 1.15, my other DNA's will read it at 1.2, but the Zero reads it at 1.1.

If it helps anyone my 2nd Zero the slightly bigger threads fits normally with the Taifun, the GP Heron clone, Aqua and the SAT22, but it has a loose fit with two out of three Kayfuns .. one Kayfun I cannot use at all with it. Clearly the 510 thread diameter varies with atomizers too. When I spoke to Yosen about Vaping Shozza's threads they said they tested their 510's with the Taifun GT and SAT22 which are my snuggest fitting atties with the Zero, but perhaps they need to test them with Kayfuns instead.

I think that is one of the huge selling points of the Zero, that you can keep changing its look ... I know that is one of the major reasons that I like it. And that thick steel frame, I think its sexy :D

My zero turned up today from focalecig

AXYotGw.jpg

tGJJHT2.jpg
NA0UNWd.jpg

First thing I noticed, was the weight of the zero, gives a nice beefy well made feel to it, but could be a bit to heavy for some people though, for me it is a pro though.

I will say as reported, this thing does seem to hit harder than what it is set at, and mine the resistance reads 0.02ohms lower than what my coil is, so I have it set at 20 watts, where normally I vape at 25 watts, but also Nikki did say the chip seems to have a break in period, so will see if over time if that changes, but it is not a big negative to me anyway. Also even though the zero says it will only fire down to 0.50ohms, it was reading my resistance as 0.40ohms, and was firing it no problem.

I LOVE the fire button, there is a click when pushed, but it is very smooth, takes little pressure to fire, but with how the button is housed, no worries of it accidentally firing, I had no worries going out with it and just putting in my jacket pocket. I do wish it did have settings lock though, as have hit the up and down buttons a few times by mistake.

The only real negative I have about the appearance of my zero, is the screen is very slightly crooked, and is not centered in the window, so is cutting off the battery bar, as can see in the picture below (also can see the 0.40ohm resistance) but it is not a big deal to me, and if really bothered me, sure I could take apart and straighten it out, but doubt I will care enough to bother.
wTkkBek.jpg

I did also get the black sleeve as can see in the pictures, I did not have to bend it into shape like Nikki has with her sleeves, and even though I think the black looks cool, as I thought it is one hell of a finger magnet, will probably look at covering with clear wrap later on, as that will bother me more than the screen.

Oh and mine, the key comes out easily, just use my thumb nail to pop it out, and I have used it a few times already to change the 510 pin, nice to not have to get up to search for a screwdriver :)

Personally I think the zero is very much worth the price tag, and love the ability to change the look of it so easily and quickly.

I have about an hour with them so far. First impression - I have a much better understanding of shozza's video now. I won't be getting the axe out but it's a hot mess.

One 510 is ok and the other is - off. It's like an almost stripped 510 would feel.

A Magma that is .7 on my robbot zna shows .5 on these. I think it's like .64 on the ohm meter. Hits hard on the zna and barely hits on the zero. Same battery fully charged the volt meter shows 2.5 on the zero and 4.1 on the zna??

A rose v2 built around 1.2 shows 1.0 and auto fires as soon as it's screwed in and the volt meter (auto firing) shows 5.5 volts when I screw it in no matter what I set the watts to. Same build works fine on other devices.

Ok just had an auto fire on the magma this time. Must be a short in the device somewhere.

I have a dna 40 I planned to install in one of these so I'm going to crack it open to see if I can find the short that is causing the auto firing and replace the chip.

Kind of a finger print magnet, too. Def going to wrap it if I get it working.

Found the short. Had a little piece of metal shaving hanging out at bottom of 510 hole.

Got my zero today. So far I'm really liking it. It seems really well made, and solid. It's definitely on the heavy side, as has been mentioned. My 510 seems perfect. I'm pretty much only vape a kayfun, and honestly that's all I've tried on it at this point, and there is very little wobble. I agree, that it does seem overpowered compered to my Cloupor hana clone. It seems that the ohm's are reading .1 lower than on my istick, and siegili zmax, which is the same with my cloupor hana clone. It's only been a few hours, but as of right now I'm really happy with my purchase. I absouloutely love the form factor and the way it feels in my hand, and let's not forget how amazing it looks. My button also seems very nice. Here's a quick picture. I have a few more I'll post later if anyone is interested in some size comparison with a couple other popular mods.

Tried to take a close up of the 510 threads side by side. 1420 on the left has better defined threads than 1199 on the left.

I also received mine today. Heavy yet solid feeling. My screen also runs a bit to the button side so the battery reading is sticking in a bit. Also reading .1 lower than on my ipv3. I had to adjust the pin connector on my russian91 but so far working good.

Seems a few people have said this about their resistance meter, a few on ECF too. My Zero's round down on the meter but they are not off by .2 though. 1.14 ohm meter is 1.1 on the Zero, and 1.45 ohm meter is 1.4 on the Zero ... someone on ECF suggested cleaning the contacts, not sure if that will help or not.

Speaking of DNA 40's, I just received the Vaporshark rDNA 40 and meh .. I haven't even tried to use it yet. Its so small .. like too small. But I am very curious about this temperature control stuff, so I shall get to it soon.

Nakkita I'm curious. A while ago I enquired with Limwell about a Kato with no kato markings on them, and I got on Limwell's email list.

Just the other day Alice from Limwell sent this email. My question, if you know the answer is, does Limwell make the Zero Clone or does Yosen. Or, does Limwell purchase from Yosen or visa versa? Or, are they the same company? Here's a copy of her email. I had to screen shoot it in two parts.
Thanks, you serve the community well !!

Oh this is easy to answer, Limwell is reselling the Yosen Zero clone, they do not make it. Limwell does however make the 1:1 Kato Square Box. Just like most other manufacturers, Limwell and Psmoke have the products that they manufacture, and the products that the resell that someone else manufactured.Yosen is also reselling Limwell's Variant clone :)

The only current VV devices that Limwell actually makes in the Gi2 clone, and the Variant 260W. Yosen is the sister company to CLT Infinite, and Limwell and Psmoke are sister companies as well. :)

Sure thing. So far I have just opened it up to take a quick peek. It looks like they changed a bit from the pictures Nikki showed us. Here's a look:

I dont like the newer setup. I have a T6 with buttons like this and have started having issues today with the fire button. Atleast with the othe style you can change them out if you want.

Mine is doing the same as yours. My 510 is good but the voltage is really low at low ohms. I put a Nautilus with 1.8 ohm coil and get the same voltage (4.8) on both the Zero And my IPV2 at 13watts. When I put my new Atlantis with a .5 ohm coil at 30watts I get 4.2 volts on my IPV2 and 2.8 volts on the Zero. I also had it continue to fire several times after I let off the button. I am ok with the build and the looks of the mod but seriously disappointed with the chip. I am actually a little worried to even have it on with the fact that some people are reporting that it is auto firing.

I agree. It also makes it more difficult to swap the chip. After seeing more reports of autofiring I wonder if the metal shaving I saw once I started breaking it down wasn't the issue at all and it might be the PCB or the wires attached to it crossing somehow. One of the original reviewers was talking about problems with soft buttons. Having them mounted on a hard surface certainly will help with this.

I'm working on the DNA40 install and I may remove the buttons and wire them individually to the new chip and glue them back to the board or a similar sized board just to eliminate this as a possible problem. I would be seriously ticked if I got everything installed with the new chip and it started autofiring on me.

Keep us updated on how it turns out with the DNA 40 board because I think a lot of people were counting on doing that upgrade themselves.

So what are you going to do? That is so strange .. the lowest resistance that I tested it with was .7, and it was accurate. I have used a .55ohm build on it, but I didn't test the output with it.

I am going to try to get it returned. It is of no use to me if it can only handle a Nautilus.

I had mine auto fire on me when i initially placed my 454 bigblock on there. I quickly hit the fire button and it stopped. Read a .3 on the zero and has been firing fine.

Heres a quick pic between the voltage on the ipv3 and the zero @15 watts

Nice. So what happens if you turn up the watts? Seems like on mine (before I broke it down) it would go up then back down after about 22 / 23 watts and bottom out on voltage at 30 watts. Also, your screen looks pretty straight.

I just did a quick run with the 454 bigblock with a .3ohm build. It ran pretty consistant with the wattage. At 20 watts it'd stay at 2.4v , at 23 itd do 2.6v and 2.8 at 30watts.

I then tried my russian with a .9 build on there and volts would jump. At 23 watts it would go from 4.8-5v; At 22 it'd be 4.5-4.7 and at 30 it would peak at 5.2v

Screen is pretty straight, just not aligned properly. Battery symbol goes in a bit.

My Yosen is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Only concern is the 510 connection. If this is good, out with the dna30 clone and in with the genuine dna40. Wish me luck.

Re sx350, it's a good chip but I am not sure I'd be into the titling thing. Scrolling through those menus seems like hard work.

I like the fact at the SX version has a Fat Daddy style 510 connection, and honestly it would get a lot more use with me given the 50 watt capability. I probably wouldn't carry anything else around daily

I like my chana for stealth vaping at work, but thats about it. I dont want to have to build different for different mods. I do keep one dripper at 1.6 - 1.8 for the chana but my T6 seems to work better with around a .5 - .6 in eithrer a dripper or the Orchid.

The SX Zero clone will not have a real SX 350 chip in it. Its a clone chip made by Hotcig, who also happens to have the worst track record with regards to chips. They didn't do a great job with the ZNA clone, so I don't have much hope for this one .. I want to kill the person who sent a good SX Zero to Hotcig of all manufacturers to clone this. Limwell would have been a much better choice.

Yosen and Infinite are sister companies, so that is not surprising. But what is surprising is that Yosen told me that Infinite will not be selling it. They said that Infinite cannot sell it unless Yosen agree's, and at that time they did not.... I guess they changed their minds ??

Yea, I've no experience with them, but if need be, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, and install a real SX chip. I love the form factor of these, but 30 watts isn't quite enough for my daily use anymore. 50 would be perfect.

Ugh, wait and see I guess

The zero arrived today but somewhat mixed news. The threading on 510 is great, no issues there at all and I am happy with that. The screen however is a little skewed. Now, the bad news. It was all going well until It started auto firing. There was no way to stop it other than taking out the battery. It took less then 20 seconds and putting everything back in made it auto fire again. So, third time I removed the atty, put the battery in and it was not auto firing. However, it won't fire at all now and there was a burnt smell coming out of the device. The screen still works but whatever atty you attach it just says check atomizer. I opened it up, nothing visible seems wrong. it smells burnt and there is a little dot, rough under the finger on the small chip. It seems like something got fried in there. I tried different resistance atties, no luck.

Anyway, dna40 arrives tomorrow and will swap them. It was always the plan but I didn't expect that id fry the chip so quick.

Other than this, beautiful device and really well made.
