Yeah all wood is good..... And always look for the wood looks..... I looked at 30 Minikin Kodamas to find the two that I like...... DPM makes good ones, good wood and color tones..

They make the H model Hybrid Stabwood and they make the S model which is all Stabwood.......

No one else uses hardwood like that with resin. I believe from the "figure" in the wood grain that is either Maple or Alder. Stu?

Been using it daily the last couple of weeks, partly due to it being such a handy mod to use and partly due to it being married to my little Hellbeast tank. That tank can pump out some of the best flavor of any tank I own. The only other one that tastes as good is the Freemax Fireluke with a mesh coil.

There are nice Woodies available. You need to work that wood.... Slowly.... On the Osiris friction, rubbing in the light wood for 20 to 30 minutes darkens the wood.....

On an area with colors hit it with 8000 and 10000 and work it for a week 20 minutes here and there and that colors begins to come alive...... Once the mod is smooth you can work specific areas of the mod..... You are changing specific colors and shades.....

It takes time like Fidola13 is finding out.... But the rewards are there.....

Most sellers do not polish a mod to the limit..... You have to go deep into the wood and slowly.....

They polish the mod with 4000 grit make her clean enough and ship it.

It takes time ...I have been working on that Minikin for 3 or 4 months and I still haven't reached the potential.....

The wood absorbs a lot of resin and colors..... Some of the nicest are deep inside.....

Grab that bean and start buffing, start with 4000 on a corner and see if it changes the appearance if it gets darker and the color begins to pop then you have to know to polish your wood all night looong.....

I worked on mine an hour yesterday and an hour today..... But she is changing daily....

He used to build my Decks but got tired of it. Now I am relegated to tanks. Crown IV is actually Bs. the coils are real good for 10 Minutes. After that there is no difference between 20W and 70W. They suck. Uwell is known to often have to improve their coils. Plus if you remove the coil all the juice pours out the 510 on the other end! Odd since it does not come apart when opened like the Falcon ETC. Well, I am pleased with my wood LOL. however it is not that DPM. You nailed it with that. The Osiris is nicer than VA/Asmodus but not like the DPM IMO.
I am surprised as much as you sand that all you have left is not sawdust!

I do know 3A is a ton though. This thing goes all the way to 8A! Nailz, I am so sorry you got laid off. That sucks. I hope you have enough cash to make it through. My daily driver right now. Of course I will get others though. Already have 40+ Stabwood Mods anyways. I am not sure If the LE intro of 30 will be better than full production. They produce many more than VA but VA is by no means custom any longer. Heck Philippines, China like the dump I came from. Senegal. Well, not all dump but certainly not Dubai LOL.

I just bought another Minikin V2 stab because I really love the hand feel and chip. It needs work too but it won’t be for awhile.

Well Gorgon the sanding doesn't create dust..... All you are really doing it's like a facial ...... You open pores with large grit then as the grit gets higher you thighten the pores......

The high grit is what adds the gloss.... And then you moisturize it and protect it with some wood wax.....

Ask Fidola13 if it's worth it.... Look at her pictures........

You are doing amazingly wonderful polishing...... I'm am happy for you now and keep it going.....

Stay on top of it..... But remember if you have 3 or 5 mods your bouncing and giving each some love......

It's demanding, but a rewarding experience....

Made it again a 26650 no tube..... And the Yihi SX 350J V2 ..... 100 watts is enough power for me .....

I am just telling you I could not figure out how to post pics. Or I would have 100 in here. I tried my best but not only motor issues my mind is half gone. I do not understand it. I have no reason to lie though. I am glad you folks do not call me out like some other forums. I have a severe disability that's all. I do not understand how to do it. On other forums they just are not nice and call me a liar. Well, I am currently not on any other forum. When I was 15 years ago I mean people were nasty to me. I was already old then.

Anyways, I assume I cannot sand the ThorII because it is coated with Polyurethane? I mean I can hit 14,000 grit just to buff it but not like an unfinished Mod? I can't anyways but I could pay my Great Grandson. He is 15 so $40 is a lot to him LOL. If I pay him to polish all the unfinished ones he makes a lot of money. He used to build my decks but got tired of it. Money is a motivator though

The Bean should be here Saturday. I am assuming it is uncoated. Someone had to hit the ThorII with the buffer because it is sealed and looks good already. Back in the day I could do this in half an hour with machine buffers. I did not need to hand sand. You must know how to use a disc though because then you really will have sawdust. I mean all that is left of your Mod!

Manny, he builds those fast. I guess I can get a DPM but yours is one of a kind IMO. Well, it certainly is but I mean it is extraordinary. I never saw anything like that.

You can buff even with an exterior cover..... Like the Osiris seems to have a clear coat on it..... The warmth of the rubbing changes the color beneath the coating.....

But that's for woodymaniacs ..... Do take care of..... I do it because it keeps me busy and not thinking of work and for stress relief.....

I have been told that my pictures are from the web..... I stoled them..... So if you don't post pics they call you a little later and when you post pictures they say you steal them......

So that's why I don't give a shit anymore...... It's like when you meet that Beautiful woman on line, she's 35 and mature and needs love......

When you finally meet her she's 94

You don't have to polish anything if you are Happy with how your mod looks..... You do it to make the mod be different..... They are already unique....

Every Stabwood is 1 to 1 there is only one.....


Micromesh is a pad without texture..... All it does is take coating off..


Is hard to explain...... We are not sanding..... At low grits like 1000 or 1500 there is some coarse feel to the paper, but as you go up it becomes softer like leather or vinyl feel.......

And we are using hands no machines.... So that's why it takes a long time and hard work.......

If Fidola13 keeps doing it it's really good excersize for your hands, fingers and joints........

That is exactly what they do. If you post pic of something otherwise very expensive then they just say you got it from Google images. I think people here tend to be more civil. I think because we are mostly adults. If there was a 13 year old here we would know by the way they speak. I am highly against Minors using things that are not legal for them to use. Of course some sicko 55 year old dates a 12 year old. The internet seems to be the largest congregation of assholes in the world. At least I have not encountered it here. I will just try to heat it up with friction. No grit. Chamois will get it very warm. I might use synthetic spray wax. On a finished item that stuff is awesome. You should also absolutely obtain a "fabuluster" cloth. It will make colors great. Google it, it is cheap. Butchers wax is different stuff but may ruin dyed colors bleeding them. Otherwise it is the bar none wood finish. Not greasy.

I just said all Stabwood is one of a kind. However that DPM is very unique. I have never seen something like that before. Matching resin carefully transfers to highly "figured" wood on that. I bet if I have him make half and half it just is not as nice as yours. Perhaps just luck of the modder but that one turned out incredible. Being one of a kind he cannot duplicate for me. For full custom Mods he works quickly. I take it he will build whatever I want if I order it? Although trust me, unfortunately 21700 will be the future. What is the highest MAH 21700 @ 25 Amps? Even though I vape at 20W a 5A battery in it is no go in case it accidently gets turned up. 75W needs minimum 25A battery. 400W could only be Lipo or would be enormous. I honestly prefer DNA75C even if it is not as Efficient as a 250C. Most Stabwood Mods are 1x battery anyways. Doubt I will use the Bean much as 1x18650 does not cut it for me chain vaping. I liked the wood though.

Could not feasibly do that with 6 Li-ion but I am sure someone does. I just used synthetic spray wax on it. Looks even better and it is more protected. Now heat up with Chamois heat it up and work wax into Polyurethane. Should be good. Most Mods may be unique but are mostly similar in construction. That DPM is unique. You lucked out with highly figured wood there. I thought you wanted smaller Mods LOL. Batteries charging at 2A get warm. No wonder 3A was a no go. Still using that battery though. The Folomov goes up to 8A! Explosion!

My mod is Hybrid #011(sample) built in 2015 they are in the 4575 number series now close to 5,000.......

The first 25 mods made by all companie are always Beautiful and special...... They start loosing motivation after a while.....

They are now in then the 5000 numbers.....

Still, to make Thousands of them by hand is amazing. That is not his only Mod either. He might just have Tens of Thousands under his belt! Along with many other custom builders. I know he actually builds it because, Manny you have had him build them to your exact specs! Will he or anyone build whatever you want as long as it is feasible? I mean not a stupid request like a 2" tall 21700 Mod but within reality. I imagine he or someone else will undertake whatever you can dream of. Although if you want 100 carats of Diamonds they might want the money upfront LOL!

My 21700 is lasting longer now. Odd. It should last less as it ages. Unless they need to be "broken in". I have no clue as to that. The real issue is I am used to a 250C with 2+ batteries. The 75C is very inefficient. I hope they make a better single battery chip and I am sure they will. 75C is not low end. Like 350J Vs, 580J. Not like that. The 75C is only $5 less than the 250C and it is a very expensive chip. Probably why $130 250C Chinese Mods are absolute junk IMO. Paranormal comes to mind. I have 5 dead ones right here. Evolv is great though. They sent me 5 boards free trusting me. I did not lie and I am trustworthy. However due to disability I cannot install them. Evolv just did not fix 5 Mods at once for one customer. It is the cheap wiring and 510 that blows the boards. Too small AWG wires continuously overheat the board. Running too hot, too long it dies.

I prefer to get Mods that have USA support. Although I thought Asmodus stood behind the ThorII but they currently do not! I really do not know why they do not sell the ThorII. I want to say even though not US, UK Stabwood Mods stands behind them 100%. Very good to do business with if he has what you want. He gets it to US in 4 days if you order express shipping! I used post office first class and to UK took 18 days and apparently that is very good speed for them! I am in fact advertising for him(not really) because he is a great guy. I give credit where credit is due.

Well my DPM is again held up by customs .... It's at the DHL shipping office by customs in Manila until it can be verified it's labelled as a toy box...... Since Monday.......

DHL won't ship Vaping items started in January 2019...... You have to label them as something else.

Which means if they open it and doesn't look like a toy box they can confiscate it ......

I found out the hard way it is not worth lying about things. We are talking about $600 and way up. Say what it really is, use Fedex and declare it's real value. If it is shipped by a vendor via a shipping service it is highly unlikely they will charge you. The cost is built into the shipping for whatever value you declare. Sure, then you pay $100 for shipping but already lost $800 Mod and got threatening letter. I would not risk it. Once they held a tiny box for Months. I called them. So small they forgot it. She checked it right then and it was on it's way finally that day. There is nothing against the law about vaping(yet) so no issue there except with DHL. Also if there is a battery, must say so. If there is an accident you are responsible for it. Better to tell the truth. It just is not worth it. You would not get in trouble like drugs=jail but you can get fined up to $15,000. If you ignore it then you have a warrant on you. Again, not worth it to save a few bucks. IMO. I already learned this lesson. Especially if it is coming from a "Country of interest" it will be inspected guaranteed. Most likely you just lose the Mod like I did but is that worth saving a few bucks? Overseas express shipping is about $50 anyways so the extra $50 is a very good idea IMO. Plus you would not even have the package insured then. I am sure no one likes to hear this news but like me anyways LOL.

Well they tried shipping it with FedEx and DHL as a vaping device and they will not ship it if it's got the word Vape or Vaporizer or Mod or vapor device....... They all get kicked back....

And even as a toy box the shipping was $50.00 US Dollars plus customs tax ......... I paid them $700 bucks so to me it doesn't matter how they get it to Arizona......

On the last box it sat in California customs for a week......

Yeah that I agree with. They are BS. The thing I was saying is you cannot very well declare it for $5 and insure it for $700 LOL. Toy box to the shipper is fine. Standard procedure. The shipper does not speak with customs about it. They will probably just Xray it and pass it along. They do not open packages anymore unless highly suspect. Without a battery it does nothing so it is fine. All they really care about is the usual bad stuff but not this. I have received and shipped literally over 100 of them. Customs can be very slow though. Just be patient. I hate when I pay for 2 day shipping and Customs keeps it Two weeks!
