RC cars are much less than helicopter luckily at least. I just have a cheap helicopter. I prefer the cars. You can buy a new helicopter loaded for $35,000. It is stupid. That is not a "kids" toy though. That is an adult toy. For one thing it is very dangerous if mishandled. A airplane can be even more. They have just radios that are 20 Grand. How old was your kid when you got him that? Gas or Nitro helicopters are not really for a kid under 13. Too dangerous. Very lucky he did not get hurt with that.
The Primo is honestly at the level of the Java or Osiris now. If you care to believe that. I mean now conservatively I have $1,600 into it. It is not custom though of course. Well, come to think of it, It kind of is now. It is not custom made to my hand or anything. It is still a production Mod. Although the amount I put into it it kind of is custom. In the sense that it is no longer factory stock.
I wish I could get something really special like you have and just buy it off someone. I cannot do those private FB and stuff.
VA is not just better than Asmodus. It is a different level of quality to begin with. Asmodus is like the entry into Stabwood. they are good though. the Thor II is a fine Mod IMO.

I can’t wait to get the one I ordered. I pretty much know I’ll probably never get a custom mod and I’m actually fine with that. I love the ones I have and their being Chinese mass produced ones doesn’t bother me in the least.
They’re unique and beautiful to me and that’s all that matters. I could save the money I spent on a few stabwoods but like Gorgon I want what I want now and don’t need or even feel strongly that a need to have a custom made one.
Of course when I was working and bringing in close to six figures I’d be getting some made. But my situation is different now and as I said I’m fine with it and I’m really thrilled with the ones I’ve bought. So far lol!!

Do not put Poly over wax ever! Strip the wax first. You both know Minwax is the cheapest Poly? Dupont Lucite at an automotive store is the best. Big difference in price. 2OZ can Minwax $3.00. 2OZ can Lucite $45! You get what you pay for.

I'm getting into The Hussar Rta's they are really excellent...... I'm currently using a Zeus X on it......Manny, you get a Bulk RTA for your SL yet? Great fit and a pretty tasty tank with the right build. The threads to get your barrel on is tricky though and they could have done a better job on the top cap, just make sure you don't screw it on too tight.

Come to think of it I do not know why they put Lipo's in Mods. That is very dangerous quite frankly. Lipo's are supposed to be charged in a fireproof bag/case. They do not vent and hiss like LI-Ion. They burst into flames. Thus igniting anything in it's path. How homes burn down. This is my thermal bag and my Lipo charger..... I must have thousands of dollars in lipo mods..... I have one that was $800.00 custom made and yes it can do 800 watts plus without any problems....
The Batman mod is a NLPWM..... 6s Lipo......22.2 Volts....... And you need big tanks that can hold 4mm to 5mm size coils 10 wraps ohming at 1.5 ohms...... You would need 12 to 16 volts to fire a coil that size.......
Look at the coils those are 4.5mm and ohm out at 1.6 ohms the pair.....

The Vgod was an excellent recommendation. Best tank I ever had. It is almost equal to an RTA. I am guessing the second coil is going to last longer than the first one. We'll see.

I'm glad you like it...... It's an amazing tank... To some is expensive but worth it......
I use to build coils and then gave up, the time and wire simply a pain in the ass ... I pay a guy here on Vaping Underground (VAPEROXX) retired Marine like $40-$50 bucks and he makes me (20) sets.... They last like (6) months a pair....

Yeah you’re right Manny. I was referring to the blue Minikin V2 that I used a hardwood floor polisher on.
The EOS II I used Renaissance polish on.
Question about the renaissance polish - should I use several layers with light “sanding” in between layers? I’ve only put 3 hardwood polish on the Minikin V2 so far.
Was planning to do several more from Manny’s recommendation.

The renissance polish before applying a new coat.....the mod should be whipped with alcohol to remove all grease and dirt and finger prints first..... The more coats the better too.......
This Top Hat has only seen Renaissance wax maybe (10+) coats and she just shines.....

Yeah he (VAPEROXX) was a technician MOS wise ..... He's good at building and fixing...... And making coils brings him some cash to mess around......
For Fidola13 (Sara) any water base doesn't require much sanding and if you miss a section it really doesn't matter the next coat will fuse with the last coat...... So with water base you keep going with coats until you see that instead of (3) hours to dry it takes (24) hours to dry, you can go easy (20) coats.
Sara you will see how every coat reacts different from the other....... Once you are finished with the last one (coat) take the highest micromesh you have 10,000 or 12,000 and rub her down (like a massage) and that what makes her glow.....
Remember that after (20) coats even after (24) hours it might still be wet, this means you have reached the limit of coats, simply wipe her with a lint free towel and micromesh her....... The more coats the longer it takes (time) to dry.......

Well, Manny you will actually hate being retired. Not only am I long since retired I am crippled. I wish I had something to do. Playing with kids toy's now. Oh well plenty of adults do RC though. That is a very nice plane and boat. I would be afraid to crash something that expensive. The Army truck will take anything I can give it. It is highly doubtful it breaks just from impact now. I tell you, you will be retired before you know it and like most retirees I bet you hate it. Unless you play Golf or something. It is funny people that don't want to work and claim from the state. Those that work a full career, especially same job many years usually miss their job. I can attest to this. Even worse some people just up and die a year after they retire because nothing to do. I hate nothing to do. Some prefer to sit on their fat ass but those of us that worked many years usually find it to be a setback. I do not mean financially. It is not really your "golden" years. Actually, now being crippled it is easier not to do anything. When I was able, after 2 years I wanted my job back. They would not give it back though. They hired some young Grad they could pay 1/10th. what I made and he was happy as shit. Go figure.

There is a 60 4k led Sony " TV in the living room never used..... I'm my office I have a 32" Led mounted on the wall to watch Fox news and Weather Channel during my report completion until 22:00 hrs .....
I leave home at 7:00am and get back before 1:00pm then I sit in my office until 22:00 hrs typing a report and looking up code discrepancies before crashing and getting up at 5:30 am......
I do this sometimes (2) months straight without a day off ...... I need an easier life.......ha

Even though I make a lot of money having them put cell towers on my property. Their are high tension wires already, so why not? I do not believe that phenomena anyways. The electromagnetism is not strong enough on the ground to cause cancer. Or it would not be allowed by the FCC and NEC. Plus no cows died with no explanation. Yeah I see now why they charge you $200 to $500 more for a beautiful shiny and protected Stabwood mod..... Man a lot of sanding, polishing and spraying....
