12 hours? Sure. Went to bed at 12AM, arose at 5AM. That was pretty good for me. The older you get the less you can sleep. Those over 100 are Damn Zombies I tell you. No sleep at all. The issue is it makes one lose their mind, and they do. That is why the Human body generally does not go much past 100 if that. 12 is to much though seriously. A Healthy younger adult should try to get 8. Nothing wrong with 12, probably just not going to regularly happen unless a teenager but they don't because of school and stuff. Plus if you over sleep it will actually make you more tired throughout the day lowering your overall performance at whatever you do. I don't have to worry about it though. I would be very lucky to ever pull off 6 hours again at this point. I do lie in bed when I am in pain but not sleeping. I can lose consciousness from pain but that is different than sleep. In fact it sucks.
No sleep puts you in the grave earlier....... The regeneration of nerve endings and used ligaments and brain cells occur during sleep......

I got my SS a few hours ago. I would in fact say it is as nice as yours Manny! of course much different as they are all unique but a usual he did a hell of a job on it. It is magnificent in it's own right. these are really outstanding mods once you high polish them and coat them with multiple coats of poly. He put 16 coats. I would say the SS and Java are in the same class. The Java is only better for Manny himself because it is made to his specifications. Otherwise they are about the same price new and the SS is not even truly custom. As in you do not choose exactly what you want. He just makes them AFAIK. Perhaps a choice of the block? Plus I feel the Java is better due to it using a 26650 but the tradeoff is size. The SS is tiny. With the knurled grips it fits my small hand like a glove. If you were 7'2" and had huge hands it is probably not for you then. I would say it is amongst the current highest class of Mods. Mine was more or less brand new. I fully had expected to pay more than they cost from the Modder himself, but alas it was much cheaper in fact. For the price, notwithstanding the saddle involved here it was one heck of a deal for me. The Mod itself plus the finishing. It is one awesome mod IMO. although I will not be using it much unfortunately. Afraid to kill the DNA as they always eventually do fail sooner or later. Seeing as the faceplate probably does not easily come off Evolv will not even mess with it. So once it is gone that is all she wrote. Me, having no access to the Modder. Also, even if I did often small cottage companies like this often just disappear overnight. Although at least he may in fact give warning but my not being part of the group I would not know. Plus if it does not just happen to be broken at that time anyways there is no reason to contact him regardless. I mean in the future, if needing a repair he may in fact no longer even exist. There must be someone that can repair them though. I just do not know whom it is. Manny, do you know someone perhaps? I hate to be all gloom anticipating it breaking but it is inevitable. Plus even if he is around just because it is under warranty with Evolv does not mean it is with him. Evolv pretty much has a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I doubt you would go that far but I kind of almost would. Heck, you said you don't even use it. I do not use any of my cameras or phones simply because of the shaking. Even with steadyshot it is too much for it to overcome. I actually like my nex9 better than the D850 though. throw on some Zeis prime lenses and the thing is great and pretty small. He uses wood blocks from a Russian, his name is Dmitri Nicholaichuk (Dimec Wood) is his company.......The Dimec Wood guy has sold over 3,000 Stabwood blocks this year.
His wood is well known and probably bought by many companies....... Mozaic (Java) makes his own Stabwood blocks........

As I figured the SS is not truly "custom" made to the extent your Java is but I guess it still qualifies as a "custom" Mod? It is strange that it costs as much as your Java then. If I am not mistaken on the pricing. As I said I fully expected it to be more money than a brand new one. Custom Mods usually sell for more money on the secondary market. For all practicality mine was brand new. AFAIK I paid much less than a new one too. I am elated with this. So that is good news. I doubt Foo is going out of business anytime soon. Since he is obviously "well planted" in this industry". It is just the shipping cost that is an issue then but I hardly mind that. Shit, with any luck it very well might not fail anyways. I do in fact have a handful of DNA's(older) that have yet to fail. My Primo's screen failed within a week however. Shit happens. It is very high technology and not devoid of imperfections or impending failures. Of course this is not like a phone that you can just walk into a Best Buy and have replaced. Good things come to all that wait though. It does not really take that long either. If even necessary ever. Plus I have hundreds of Mods to tide me over anyways. yeah it's GREAT! the more I look at it, the more I LOVE it.
I am debating poly'ing it. that would make it OVER THE TOP. but doing it without disassembling it, idk about that. the front would be the tough part. and I have yet figured out if I can disassemble it.
btw, did you ever look under the padding in the box ?
I put one or (2) coats on her...... You can try one or two more coats to she if it makes a difference...... but the wood is sealed nice......

I am surprised you sold that Manny you loved it. But the bike.... I am glad they are selling for you. Did the Duke sell yet? Maybe jinx'd will buy it since it seems to have a jinx on it! That Primo looks kind of like mine, but mine is a 21700. It is not coated. That was the one I was speaking of the wood soaked up the juice and swelled. It is half and half. Half burl wood and half resin not actually "Stabwood". That, and the very low serial number is apparently why I had to pay more for it. Last I checked the price had come way down on the Primo 21700. Now it is a very good Stabwood Mod most people can obtain. Better than Asmodus IMO. Although, for the price Asmodus is plenty good. VA is a few steps above though IMO. It is like semi-custom of sorts.

I used those sponge brushes...... Cut the head and made like a 1/4 inch small strip and just run it up and down........

Yeah, sponge works if you do not use too much and bead it up, Actually, sponge roller is very good. Brush leaves strokes. Robotic sprayed like Bill here does is best but the machine is $$$, Not worth it for doing a few Mods. I was not here yesterday, Duh. Not sick either. We got a flat at 4AM.
