now, my observations. this is a very nice and very cool mod. i thought that i wouldn't like the 21700 nearly as much as the 26650. but i do. not more, but its up there.
for someone with smaller hands(not me), this is the one to get.
todd had the screen brightness nearly off = DARK. I turned it about all the way up, and its good. but not as bright as the 26650.
the wood and resin color. the resin is veery nice. the wood fantastic !
the damage. i want to see what you folks have to say, before i do. but it will say, "i think" but do not "know" that this could be fixed to nice condition. i say 'think", as i would need to use some super glue, and idk if it would stick.

it is not cog, it is serpentine . cogs are very hard on bearings. the truck weights 2445#, i weighted it on the ROUTE 66 dragstrip scales.

Jinx'd I really wanted to see you put a new block. If you think you can fix it to your liking, a lot easier for you. Trust me, both the wood and resin looked nothing like that originally. It was a lot nicer. Obviously money was not an issue to me. Plus I like you. It is yours now. I do not mind. You can do whatever you want with it. In fact I would be very impressed if you could resurrect it as is. Manny, you cannot really see the crack good from that angle. It is like a sharks tooth. It was obviously defective given all that is wrong with it and VA just blew me off after I even got their attention. Plus when I informed them I decided to just buy a new one they had the nerve to be offended by that! Who the hell are they? They have gotten too big for their britches. Hubris.

yes, i know. and what i do find odd, is that the resin is also effected. it has a very slight texture to it, and has a wave in it.
all this said. yes yes, i like it, a lot. i am using it now. what i am going to do, without getting carried away, i am going to spifff it up some. just to see what happens. if i had ordered a block yesterday (and i didn't), it would take 3 weeks to get here = MOSCOW.
so i have some time to play around with it. you will see what all happens as it goes.

Not to mention it says pretty early that they were dabbing. I can tell you from experience that THC concentrate can really be quite harsh feeling on the lungs. Used to make me cough A LOT. If they were doing so regularly, that's more than enough to cause lung irritation. On top of that, there is little to no testing to screen for any pesticides used in the growing process nor possible chemicals left over (butane, for example) from the concentrate production process.
Well, Plastic wood is in fact. It has resin fibers in it. It is much stronger than wood.

100% Stabwood is best IMO. Stabwood abutting resin is asking for the very problems you are holding in your hand.... You will find almost every high end custom is 100% Stabwood. Or a Stabwood resin blend but not joined like that. I did not think about that when I purchased that but much more is wrong than just that. Be honest please jinx'd. Do you think that was defective in some manner or something I did to it? If it was something I did I have no clue as to what.

I see that you like the dark spalted or burl woods. I do too. instead of all the colors. I have many of both but I really like this new VA better than the one I sold you. I was going to play it safe and get 100% resin but now with VA who knows. maybe anything they make can fail. I think they are pretty sore to admit it though. they honestly should have at least apologized for that instead of blamed it on me.
wait until i open it up, i want to see inside. i "may" do so, somewhat, today. i do want to keep it usable for now. any block i get is going to take 3 weeks to get here. so i have time. but looking down into the side that seperated next to the faceplate, it looks like there may be juice. idk, i could just be dust.
on a side note. the battery cap on this one gets hot, same as, but not as much, as the 26650. but you had it on 16w, so it would never do it for you.
i am at 52w. the funny thing, because the fire button is higher up from the bottom, i don't hold this mod like the 26650.
I once had an accident where juice went al over it but I immediately wiped it all off. I wonder if it all got inside. Stayed there, and ate it from the inside out. Than, it would inadvertently be my fault sort of.
How much do those blocks cost? Probably just goes to show how overpriced VA is all made by machines. Hand made by one person is a different story.
