Looking at data from the Nurses’ Health Study, researchers measured gratitude on a six-question Gratitude Questionnaire. What they found is that those who scored the highest had a 9% lower risk of dying from any cause over the following four years than those who scored the lowest, underscoring the importance of being grateful.
