If it’s kale versus broccoli, kale comes out ahead, but eat both for nutritional variety. There are so many great ways to enjoy kale and broccoli, beyond the traditional approach of steaming, roasting, or adding kale to smoothies (although we love those classic methods, too!) Try using broccoli as a substitute for rice, or enjoy kale chips instead of potato chips. Consider steaming your broccoli stems, and then freezing them to add to smoothies for a fresh fiber boost. Kale can also be a great replacement for basil in pesto, or you can even mix juiced kale with fruit juices to freeze into a nutrient-rich popsicle! |
