I'm feeling deprived. I've never even seen a jack in the box.

Probably not missing much, especially trying to lose weight. And they're putting a 5 guys in nearby

One of the funnest things about my round-the-country NPS drive-about was checking out all the stores/markets/franchises that are more regional.
Should have thought to collect market loyalty cards (G, Big G, Super G anyone?) to go with my casino Player's Club card collection. :p

And oddly... I don't prefer Sonic's soft burger buns. :D

I don't think I've ever had a sonic either, although there's one an hour or so from here.

I'll see a J-i-t-Box when I get back to NorCal in a couple of months, but I don't think there's been any change out here. In fact all the TV ads seem normal.
You're in or around NYC, right?

Boy, there's another blast-from-the-past.

I've seen an old, old original Mickey D's menu pic meme'd a few times already this year.
Surprised I haven't seen this one too.

Long Island here born in Queens and grew up going to the Lemon Ice King you see on King of Queens. Fond memories of Grandma taking me there as a tyke. NYC was the party time destination and the music scene back in the day.

LOL.

I'm from the middle of the peninsula that SF sits at the northern tip of.*
When I want a trippy visual from my 60's/70's childhood, I just need to watch Bullitt, or an old McMillan & Wife re-run.

:p

* - Hmm... Strunk & White just e-mailed me... wonder what that's about.

Yet another kaboom.

Interesting claim #1: It was an LG batt
Interesting claim #2: "There have been incidents where the battery comes into contact with water, or loose change, but this one is unexplainable," he said. "There was nothing in her pocket. The battery wasn't attached to anything."

@5150sick

"Katrina Williams, 26, of Richmond Hill, says she was was driving home from a hair salon April 7 when the LG Electronics lithium ion battery blew up without warning, scorching her right leg, ripping skin off her knee and shredding her jeans."

WHY would someone drive around with a battery in their pocket?

Also what are the chances the change blew out of her pocket along with the battery and she knew enough to not mention it?

Would she put an opened buttefly knife in her pocket and then drive home? No because that would be dangerous, just as dangerous as putting a lithium battery with no case or protection in her pocket. Yep, the loose change and other metal stuff in her pocket shouldn't matter. Freaking Dumb, Dumb, Dumb woman.
