Good morning! Just sat down with coffee. I took meds, too, fixed myself a Diet Pepsi, trying to decide what to vape, and work looms ahead in 7 minutes. Yeah, Monday. Hurtful. :teehee:

Wouldn't be quite so bad if I didn't know I have to participate in a conference call this week. I'd rather do just about anything else. A project I've been working on for 9 months is coming to what I hope is a developmental end, and now I have to think (and talk) about training people. Oh, Lord.

Called for a 3 to 11 PM shift at our closest high school, today. The work amounts to about 3.5 to 4 hours. Will have plenty of soma time, the others working will not need help. Looking at the movie The Joker.

Good morning! I was up far too late last night, so this might be a two-cuppa morning. My eyes want to close of their own accord.

Did a subscription on Amazon to a Gevalia Columbian k-cup, and the first two boxes are supposed to be here today. I don't know if my tastes have changed or what, but lately I can't seem to find a coffee that I'm happy with except for one grocery store's house "Cafe Dark," and I can't always get that. The Eight-O'Clock Italian Roast that I've used for years suddenly isn't doing it for me.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that what I've ordered is a coffee I can live with, at least long enough to use up the two boxes en route. We'll see.

Everyone doing alright this morning? @gopher_byrd how is your hip surgery recuperation going? @MarkS did you ever finally shake the Covid?

Found out yesterday that my son's ex-wife and both of their sons (my grandsons) have Covid. Younger grandson is a sick puppy right now - he was the last to come down with it, so he's still in the sleeping-all-day phase. I bet it's not much fun at their house right now.

Hope everyone is doing well. Having a great morning! Had to finish a side job and was worried it would be hard... was so easy (and I even did a nice clean up) Just doing a variety of chores today (nothing hard)
I have one last sprinkler valve to replace but it's all above ground (no digging) so should go well.

Nice day... got many small projects done (all easy) but things that needed to get done (I did forget one thing... spraying the wasps... a small bird house hanging form a tree that the birds don't use) Not going there right now! Why do we even have the small bird house? Only the wasps use it. Sounds easy... the can shoots out a high pressure spray (should be easy to blast that thing) but if you miss the small hole (1.5 inch) it just spins... wait and try again. After I spray it, we are going to throw it in the trash.

I beg to differ.

Folgerphobia: The fear of having to drink Folger's Coffee!

(Nah, it's not bad, actually kinda like the Black Silk, so jk. My sister used to spew forth about how terrible Folger's coffee was, but then she'd load her coffee up with all kinds of shit to make it taste like anything other than coffee! Like, half a cup of coffee, and half a cup of creamer and sugar and syrup and Hershey's Kisses and whipped cream and Lord knows what-all. I drink my coffee black. Could we be any more different? lol)

Doing laundry
Grocery shopping

The images above illustrate me & wife's Saturdays. We do what we must then, usually rack out watching television, reading. Not anything here locally to do we consider fun. We might could fish but here we'd likely better fish having a boat.

Checked in with the secretary at the school board office yesterday. The certification I got to drive forklifts will not count toward any pay increase due to continuing education. I need college or technical school academic hours listed on some kind of transcript.

Me & wife agreed, until I got financial aid/loan/s to get college credit, a few extra bucks per hour would be eaten away for needing to pay debt. There's no actual value to furthering education in my case. What college education does a custodian need anyway?

College of broom pushing, or maybe Institute of Toilet Paper changing might be all I could think of a need. Also running forklifts is not seen as generally required by custodians. So, it's not "career" related. Funny I thought the idea of careers died forty years ago.

Oh well, ... c'est la vie.

I don't have the best coffee... I used to get good flavored coffee beans and grind them (filter coffee maker) but now use a Keurig with "K cups" and can't afford the expensive stuff but still found some decent ones. I have caramel syrup and creamer but most days just choke it down black.

My GF bought me a Nesspresso Machine but those pods are insane in price so I bought sainless steel Refillable pods. Now I use whatever I want to make a Nesspresso!

We actually have reusabe K-cups (you can rinse them out) Problem is they don't work with fancy flavored coffee (very hard to rinse out) Besides, it kills me (even with regular ground coffee) how much water I have to waste to rinse them.
