To make some clarify on Phil's video:
1.why some atomizer can control well, as soon as e-liquid finish, the drop start flashing, but some start flashing but e-liquid still leave a little.
To this point, we should know all atomizer design are different, when temperature reach the same, the status of different atomizer will different.
at this point, we can use Asolo to test which atomizer is well design but other may not.

2. when phil do the dry cotton test. he use a tool connect with the atomizer, this will make Asolo hard to read the real condition of atomizer, because that tool will deliver some heat from atomizer. that makes this test incorrect.
img_1891.jpg

that's why other people don't use the tool to connect with atomizer, will have a perfect dry hit test.

i have to mention, Phil is a very good reviewer, he didn't receive any pay, he just point out but didn't let me know what he is going to say in the video.

any mod that jve

On that note

I watch Phil strictly for the numbers and hard facts, he and I have entirely different taste in hardware so his personal opinion on hardware doesn't do me any good. but numbers don't lie.
I watch some others; that, I have similar vape styles too in order, to get opinions on performance and build quality.

Since I started doing that I haven't had buyers remorse much.

sometime the number like but not the way people lie.
base on our mod design is with PWM but not DC-DC, in this way, tester is hard to get the max data on PWM but easy to get the max data on DC-DC.
data sometime is not as accurate as the number, but people can refer to it, and vapor on it.:D

Stay with it , Grace. :)
I love that you've been here participating in the thread, many vendor reps would have started the thread and then drifted away. I think it's appreciated and I don't feel I'm alone in that. Thank you.

However... I need to sleep soon so, until later all. :D
:) sweet dream:p:D

Only the Shadow knows lol. You'll just have to get one to find out the real truth lol. Goes back to what I've been saying. It works differently. It really is harder to test in our usual ways. But it is a really good little box. I still haven't used anything else since I got it. Forgetting all of the previous pages of what it can do, what it can't do page upon page of craziness and people getting a little nuts. The average person who buys it is going to love it.

I think the people that are getting it for a regular TC and watts box are going to love it. Dry hit prevention is a bonus. The people that are trying to hold it to it's original claims and are just getting it to pick it apart are the nay sayers ! People will be getting the ones we shipped in a day or two. Then we will have more opinions here hopefully. Cheers !

That could be the case, but it isn't in enough hands yet to really see what a good percentage of vapers think about it. I am very interested in seeing more "real world" usage opinions, vice those that are picking it apart based on the advertised claims. Dry hit prevention, whether it's true TC or not, looks like a fantastic feature *if* it works as advertised, and is easy enough for anyone to use. If it isn't easy, then it will just be another of those "advanced" vaper settings that will generate a LOT of complaints when it doesn't work properly all the time for everyone.

Mine is 3062. I ordered as soon as it was posted. I read they came in on Friday. I was hoping it would go out on Monday. When that didn't happen, I figured Tuesday for sure, but no dice. That's why I'm a bit puzzled, especially since others have said theirs have shipped.

Well I got mine yesterday from breazy.com and I have to say it's one of my favorite mods. I'd put it right up there with my two sx mini m's. Great size and kanthal dry hit prevention works great. I must admit I was skeptical like most in this thread but now I'm a true believer.

I revived mine about an hour ago. Thanks Breazy, it was packed well with a couple of gifts inside. Very nice.

Now on to my quick first impressions.

Pros
It's unbelievably small for a dual 18650 mod. It works great with Kanthal both in regular power mode and taste control. I vaped a tank down to nothing and it shut down without burning the cotton or giving me a really nasty dry hit.

Cons
I took my tank off my IPV3 Li that I was using for TC. It's a Billow V2, dual coil RTA. The build I have in comes in at .059 ohms room temperature. It won't fire on the Asolo. From my manual it says TC down to .1 so it's not malfunctioning. It's still a negative to me because I'm use to my 3Li that fires down to .05 in TC. It's a real problem because even using 28ga Ni200, stuffing as much in as I can, I'm not going to get to .1 ohm using either one of my Billow V2's.
I'm not sure if it's just mine but the bottom edge of mine is sharp basically around the whole device. It's digging into the bottom of the palm of my hand. Quite possibly the size of my hands coupled with the way I'm holding it but rounding the edge off really needs to be done unless mine isn't the norm. Lastly and this is minor, my fire button is a little rattley/wobbly (side to side). Not terrible, just a touch.

Overall I like it so far, especially for Kanthal. Haven't been able to test Ni200 in TC mode (i I really wish it fired down to .05 ohms in TC). I'm probably going to have to build a single coil later and stuff up the other side with cotton to get over .1 ohms in the Billow V2. Maybe I should try a TC build on one of my old Kayfun lite +'s lol.

EDIT Here's a few pictures to Illustrate how small it is, it's really impressively small for a two 18650 mod :)

I'm having the same problem with the bottom edge and the wobbly fire button(it has a slight rattle as well). The sleeve doesn't help the sharp edge because it stops at the bottom.
Works fine in temp mode with Ni and Ti. SS does not work .
In VW mode; SS seems to ramp up much more slowly than in my other mods.
Kanthal seems fine.

Update:
I've been using it for around 5 hours now and I'm quite unpressed in power mode (taste control). I'm vaping the same Custard Mix (DIY) as I've been vaping in the same tank (Billow V2). The only difference is I'm using 32ga twisted Kanthal in one (.77 ohms on the Asolo) and 26ga Ni200 in the other (.059 ohms on the IPV3 Li). Now I've also used the Kanthal setup on the IPV2S and 3Li. I have to say using the Kanthal on the Asolo seems like I'm getting some sort of control (an even vape) but I'm getting a stronger vape (than the TC setup) if that makes sense.

I swear with the Kanthal setup, it's practically like I'm drinking the juice. I'm not sure if it's in my mind but to me the Kanthal definitely tastes best. On top of that it seems more intense using the Asolo (in taste control), than on the other mods (specifically the IPV2S). I'm wondering if it has less ramp-up time? At this rate, I'm starting to wonder if i really need TC. Dealing with Ni200 is a royal PITA. dealing with Kanthal isn't. Ahhh to be able to dry burn again :D. I'm serious though, this mod is making me rethink this whole TC thing, at least with Ni200.

Notes I'm using the IPV3 Li at 27 joules, 420F in TC. I'm using the Asolo at 27 watts in taste control. Basically the same power. I'm surpised at how more I taste the flavor is using the Kanthal. I've been using mainly Ni200 for months.
Tanks: Billow V2 RTA - Dual Parallel Coils, 5ml capacity.

Thanks for all the replies ! You guys "regular vapers" comments will help other people and maybe IJOY. I was looking at mine and I never noticed the bottom sharp edges. Now that you mention it and I run my fingers across it maybe they could be rounded a bit but it hasn't bothered me at all. Not like their razor sharp and could cut you. It takes a few days of playing with it to figure out what you like it for best and how to get the best results from it. Just remember lol we don't make it we only gave a good deal for people to try it. seems like most people like it so far. Keep the comments and helpful hints coming !

thank you for the feedback.
if ss can work on VW mode, it can be control by Asolo.
if you feel it ramp up slowly please try a higher watt.
try several puff and find the best taste and go into special TC mod

Asolo can work on 0.1ohm or higher ohm, can't fire any coil lower than 0.1ohm.
for this negative point, it is to protect the PCB board to make it last longer.
i think more and more atomizers will design for higher ohm, because it can save the battery life a lot.
atomizer with big vapor and good taste will be the trend of e-cigarette industry.
hope you enjoy it work on kanthal.

Thank you Breazy, received mine Friday, the order process was easy and shipping was fast. The iJoy is quite impressive for the size, feel and associated power provided. This alone warrants the current price point. I still wish there was USB charging, I can drain set of batteries rather quickly with my vape style. Yesterday ran tfv4 .5 @50w and got a few hours. This is my problem not MOD problem as I chain vape 0-3 nic while driving and tank / MOD will get hot and cause the excessive drain. Usually will rotate 2 mods to keep drain down. Along with USB, would be a bonus to have firmware upgrade ability so tweaks/fixes could be applied if needed.

I am a little dissapointed with resistance being only .1, I feel that it can be difficult to stay above that when building dual Ni on small decks or to allow for mods reading wrong. I can build at .15 but sometimes will register on devices below .1. Not a big negative as I try and build over .1, nice to not have to rebuild if does come in under. Was doing just Ti for about a month, last 3 weeks went back to Ni, probably switch again next few weeks, each is interesting and has its own benefits.

For TC, seems to work well, seem to have to run down about 100 degrees lower, not found if I can lock in resistance yet or not, think in theory this is not needed, though has helped with my other devices. For taste control it definitely is doing something. I never really have dry hits on kanthal, so for me unsure if there is a benefit. It is a cool feature however.

My bottom line is that I really like the device and would recommend it to anyone who does not need USB charging. Who cares about any of the debates on features, the size for 200w is outstanding. It feels much better than the long retired M80 and performs at a high level. I would not put this in the class of the DNA200, for me the DNA is the best vape I have ever had. I like the ability the DNA provides to tweak and adjust every point is the next generation in my eyes. Well, no tweaking needed might be next generation just a fire button lol.

Recommend Breazy impressed and Andy is very responsive great to work with, device is near top of list as well.

Cheers

I got a little over 24 hours on my first set of batteries. It was the only mod I used and had to vape at least 15-20ml during that time. That's using a Billow V2, dual coil 25-30 watts depending on the ejuice.

EDIT I'm using Samsung 25R's

EDIT 2 The battery life was a little better than what I've been getting on my IPV3 LI, I'm impressed. Now I'm using the Asolo in power mode, was using the 3Li in TC. Not sure if that's why I had a longer run time in comparison. I did see the Asolo chip is supposed to be 98% efficient. My runtime doesn't make me question that :)

this mod don't have function of lock in resistance. it is a way to make the device work more accurate.
:)it is different with other mod.

Understand the need not to lock, recommended on few other TC devices as well.

Everything working very well, still learning only a few days. Really having issue with device not going down to .05 this really is standard, my VT, VTC, D2, DNA200 all do this. I attempt to build .1-.2, but will not always happen. I don't agree with the reasoning of preserving / battery. Basically for v2 I highly recommend adjusting this and adding disclaimer or recommendation to stay above .1. For the next version I really recommend adding USB charging, firmware upgrade option would be bonus. My device sat on side for 5 hours while batteries charged yesterday. I have no desire to carry extra batteries or remember to take them out when home to put on charger. Other this is no big deal. Most all mods these days have USB charging, the VS will do full charge in 90 minutes for 900 lipo.

I by no means am putting down the device, it has been great. Some will no have issues with what I have mentioned and see them as benefit. Example, some have mentioned sharp edge, I could care less. Just some positive feedback for future updates. At the price point I highly recommend.

my order was sent 2 days priority and was supposed to be delivered on Saturday. was out for delivery and when tracking it says "notice left, recipient not available" or something of the sorts. to my knowledge priority does not require signature so I'm prone to believe that mailman messed up my delivery. I'm not desperate to receive my Asolo but I'm a tiny bit frustrate.
also wonder if the "T" button is black or shinny. id like for it to be black

The bottom edges needing to be more rounded was seen as a con in a few different reviews out there, including PB's I believe.

Outside your discounted hook up customers (props on that btw), the regularly offered price still needs to come down quite a bit before this will have any chance at being a hit with "regular vapers" though. Especially considering the fairly non-existent amount of forum talk it is generating outside of this thread.

the bottom edges did mention in PB's video, we keep it in mind, and try to find out a solution. the silicone case design is designed for user's no need to take off the case to change the battery, we didn't notice the edge before but we are trying to bring some good on this design.

thank you so much for your suggestion.

I'm having a problem getting the Asolo to stay in TC. I finally decided to put a Ni200 coil on a Kayfun Light + (it's the only single coil RTA I have atm). I hit it at 35 watts a few times (at least 4 puffs each time before trying to put into TC mode), put it into TC. Left it at 450F , go to take a puff and it puts itself back into power mode (15 watts) during the puff. I put the tank on my IPV3 Li and it works in TC on that mod. Not sure why this is happening. First time I've tried it in TC because of it's .1 ohm minimum resistance in TC :(. My normal tanks I use for TC are dual coil Billow V2's and they come out to .059-.075 ohms, to low for the Asolo. It happened multiple times so I decided to post here to see if anyone has any suggestions. Obviously if I can't get it to stay in TC mode, it's not acceptable. I haven't got it to stay in TC for even one puff!

PS My coils is .107 ohms

Cheers,
Steve

I'm having no problems in TC but I'm running my Ni200 at 0.15 or higher. Ti is around 0.5. Using an Aqua v2 and a Lemo v2.

Maybe mine is just defective. It's not my first TC mod. The coils resistance isn't too low because it works in Power Mode, just won't stay in TC mode.

Mine does stay in TC mode. Except every time I put it down and pick it back up it asks 'new coil/same' so I can't fire it without hitting the T button before the fire button (this is both with kanthal in power mode and nickel in TC mode). Also when I put in a new battery it takes me a gazillion presses to get it to start up - it doesn't recognize 5 presses, and I can't figure out what does get it to start up...

I think mine has a problem :-(

Mine starts up automatically when I put in new batteries, no presses on the fire button are required. My other mods aren't like this.

I love the size - it's the only dual battery mod I've ever found that is comfortably small. But these two bugs make it hopeless...with any luck mine's just buggy!

I like the size too but have yet to get it to work in TC. First it was because my builds were too low, now I have no idea what's going on. On a side note, I use Ni200 for TC and don't feel comfortable having to vape it in power mode so the mod can learn (I did, but didn't like it). Since the TCR's are built in for Ni200 and Ti1. Why does the mod need to learn in TC since the TCR's are already built in???

I was using a 0.15 NI Crown coil that worked fine, except everytime I went to vape it said 'new coil!.' But it does the same thing with my kanthal coil. I'll try it with some Ti coils that I built and see what happens.

I had that problem for the first couple of days but for some reason it stopped. Now it takes a button press to wake up before I can fire it.

Not having any trouble. Amanda I mentioned to Grace about the silicone sleeve and she said she would send one with our next order. Not sure when that is. I'm using a .2 Nickel coil. I know it will kick you out of TC mode if it's not do-able or it doesn't meet the specs for it. I really have no complaints. It does get a little buggy sometimes with the start up button presses but it always works once it's on so it's not the button. I'm using a Matrix tank with the .2 nickel coil if anyone want's to know lol. Holds 5ml of juice that's why I like it
