I'll never buy an Asolo either. I won't buy any mod that dosn't have a USB charger, or the ability to update firmware. Would I buy anything from Ijoy? perhaps, if the price was right. I'm sure however that at some point, I will purchase a mod using the technology they pioneered, and for that I am gratefull. As I said befor, their marketing was deplorable. But in comparison to what Ijoy has given the vape community in the way of innovation, and driving the tech forward, and what actual harm have they done? Our forum is based on letting the members speak their minds, just about the only one of it's size and type that does this, it means what is typed is typed, be it vendor,staff or member, so I am glad you posted this as your opinion, it is as welcome as all opinions are, have a GREAT day

Anyone who takes the time read this thread and the contest thread from the beginning can clearly see the broken English is game. There are several outright lies and manipulations. And even more if you follow my ex-wife's philosophy of 'omission is a lie.' There are few que's of good English perhaps every time they repeat something and use their own words. If you read that the sentence structure and conjunctions are perfect English.
The 'mericans` and 'naysayers' here have nothing to prove.... its an avatar...I am not Giorgio Tsoukalos. The idea of members of this forum attacking each other over a vendors outright lies and deceit, is quite frankly sad and reminds me of other vape forums. I am proud of being a member here, where we have each others back. And watch out for questionable sales practices

While I am not at all fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin, I am pretty fluent in Bullshit and can immediately recognize it when I hear it.
Or in this case, hear it and smell it.
And from a business prospective, if Ijoy wishes to actively promote sales of the Asolo or any other product in the English speaking parts of the world, it is on them to hire someone that can faithfully and honestly represent the company in such a way so that the company and product has some credibility in the marketplace.
And part of that is to hire a company representative that is at least somewhat fluent in the language of the country they are trying to do business within.
It is not up to us, your target audience to speak YOUR native languages, but it is up to YOU to make sure you have someone on staff that is fluent in the dominant language of the country you are trying to do business in!.
Perfect case in point.
Over the years I have made some some really good friends in China that either manufactures or sells or distributes vaping hardware here in the good, old US of A.
And even if they mess up a word or a concept from time to time, I consider them very fluent in the English language.
Heck, sometimes they seem to do better than some of us here (including myself) on the Underground.
Broken English, or in this case "Chinglish" has another side of the coin. Time and time again, when rules of the forum are being broken. Spamming and Thread Highjacking spring to mind, when they are called on it, we get a reply in Chinglish saying something to the extent "Sorry for doing bad. Did not understand rules. We willl do better."
Then they go right back to whatever they were doing.
But if you tell them, "Just one more time and you will be banned" THAT they understand real quick.!

It's not humor. Its kinda sad. And don't think I'm anti American, I've actually sworn an oath to protect uphold and defend your Constitution. I'm anti ignorance, and hate bullys., Learning another language is no easy task. I respect anybody who tries. As long as the cheap, shots continure, don't expect me to remain silent. Every second day, sombody sees me vaping in public, and expresses suprise that a "guy like me is one of those vaper types". I take the time to explain as much as they want to hear about it, I'm passionate about vaping. How do you think a thread like this looks from the outside?
I believe at least from the vapers I've met in person, that the "vaping community" is better than this thread. This isn't 4chan FFS.
What exactly is the issue here? I agree that Ijoy's performance here was shit. I don't know that the Asolo will live up to it's claims. I do know that one exists. There were those that were so sure it didn't. I know it's does somthing, and if it does half of what is claimed, could be an amazing advance.
The only point that seems to be an issue here is defending the behaviour of kicking around a person, and a company before it is known for a fact whether or not they are a fraud. Is it so important to do that that people have to make shitty posts as if they have never fked up?
As far as fk up go, Ijoy has not cost anybody thier life, they have not cheated anybody out of their money, They are not Goldman Sachs, or Bernie Madoff, at least not yet. If it turn out the Asolo is a fiendish Chinese milatary weapon cleverly designed to throw the western world into the Apocalypse, believe me, I'll support burning down their house. What is the reason for the meaness? Go back and read through this thread, and look at all the negative things that have been said. And as I'm sick of saying, some I agree with, but the armchair commandos who stated that all Ijoys claims were completly impossible, were premature. From my perspective, even if in the fullness of time those views turned out to be correct, that does not chane the fact that at the time they were made, they were baseless, and therefore inappropiate.
Appoligising is not a bad thing or make you a bad person. Quite the opposite. I HATE having to apologise for anything, which is why I try my best not to say or do anything that would require one. But shit happens, and it takes a bigger man to admit, they were perhaps a little over zealous, or were angry because they were dissapointed, or just that they have lost face because they were wrong. Being wrong is how we learn. I'm not getting all Ghandi here, but wake up. This is not 'Merica it's the internet. I wonder how many of the posters in this thread would walk up to the girl in that picture, and call her a scheming liar, just from what they have read on this thread? I wonder if she would even understand you. But it's easy to cut people and ideas down because they don't think the same as you and I if you are sitting at a keyboard.
